The guy recently harassed a cancer patient’s cooking and doubled down that the reason they have cancer because of their food. Whether he’s trolling or not, he’s taken it too far.
He said bacon has a higher likelihood of causing cancer, when the SUN does as well! Imagine this guy saying not to eat anything that has been outside, directly or indirectly, for a second or else you’d get skin cancer
This guy did seem rather aggressive. "Did you know chocolate is bad for your teeth? *punches a guy in the mouth and knocks out some of his teeth* "See? Chocolate is bad for your teeth! It's because of the sugar!"
Not to forget his attacking of women because “they move less” and that means they get less food rights than men. As a female construction worker who’s expected to perform the same as my male counterparts, I need food to function and not just lettuce and bullshit
@@SillyGoose-tz7nsor you can eat whatever you want and we don’t need to demonize food. Like invisibly eat in moderation, but there ain’t no way we are demonizing fruit right now.
@@Glaycieryes we are, apparently. my guess is that sugar is also "bad" and fruit contains sugar therefore eating a gram of fruit will kill you so hard your family dies too (no i don't believe this shit this is dumb as hell but i think that's the "logic" behind it)
Obsessing over food is WAY more likely to cause depression than having chocolate or ice cream or pizza sometimes. It's not a very deep take, but still.
Yeah I'm gonna echo the people mentioning the ED's. Wanting this excessive level of control is a slippery slope. Healthy control can turn into unhealthy when it's taken too far.
This guy is like my eating disorder personified. Totally wacky, usually makes no sense, thinks literally all food is bad, and occasionally makes a point that seems okay, despite being totally insane
Dude, as someone recovering from a mix of Bulimia and Anorexia, I couldn't think of a better way to explain my eating disorders than then you said they're like this guy.
he seems like the kinda guy to count his girlfriend's calories, monitor every little thing she does in and out of his presence, then get pissed off when she leaves
It definitely isn’t just the way he says it, his words themselves are incorrect and dangerous. He knows essentially nothing about nutrition and has probably pushed hundreds of people into their first experiences with or relapsing into disordered eating.
@@Princeomishore He seems to think if it's a food with a lower calorie/nutrition count its inherently healthier. Which like Jarvis says he thinks watermelon, lettuce, and cucumber are healthier than bread when they're mostly water and have little to no nutritional value. He also thinks cheese has lard which it doesn't at all.
Preach! Thank you for calling this out. He shows what seem to me like seriously obsessive thought patterns around food which is a big caveat to disordered eating. And wrapping it up in a sneaky lettuce bun of "this is scientifically proven" is so damn insidious and manipulative
@@kalystaortiz3701 ...Interesting take considering the sheer amount of people with ED's in the comments talking about how his rhetoric is a trigger for ED relapses and how some of his viewers specifically watch his stuff as a trigger. Not to mention all the nutriontionalists and people with basic knowledge of nutrition can tell he has no idea what he's talking about. But you do you
this is a reminder that having an ED is not an excuse to create harmful content. misleading or dangerous content, especially around food, is never okay.
This! After recovering from an ED myself, seeing people encourage, or try to rope others into that kind of life style makes me so mad. We don’t need to demonize food. We just need to learn that all food is okay in the right portions, and that no, it is not normal to almost pass out whenever you stand up.
He is literally the embodiment of when the judges in cooking competition shows are like "this is... the best dish I've ever tasted... If it was opposite day. but fortunately for you, it is not... but it might as well be because this is absolute garbage-"
This makes me so annoyed, even if it is all a bit he's doing. I'm a pastry chef and have a very small business selling decorated cakes and other food for special occasions. It already drives me crazy that every dessert related tiktok has a problematic comment from someone referencing diabetes, as if everyone posting that kind of content is insisting everyone eat only sugar 24/7. Lots of people who don't have a disordered relationship with food use "unhealthy" foods to show their love or celebrate events.
Fr, plus even if someone does have disordered eating habits, yelling at them about how unhealthy desserts are really isn't going to help them build a healthier relationship with food
yes, this!!!! i see this all the time on pinterest (i use it instead of tiktok lol). i have boards of photos and videos of cute baking and snack platters, and someone ALWAYS comments "diabetes" or "heart disease". It always makes me sad because I love looking at/making those cute snack platters (specifically the ones with little pastries or japanese candies). pinterest commenters, i guess, just assume that the person filming is having these platters as a daily snack, when its in reality a quite occasional snack.
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Referring to cheese as “pure lard” is fucking ridiculous. There is zero lard in cheese. If he doesn’t know what lard is, he’s not qualified to talk about the health benefits of food. Period.
i love when people try that kind of stuff on me, when they think it's okay to critique my diet because i'm not thin enough for them. it so quickly proves that they have no idea of what proper nutrition is, or how food works.
@@grandpa_IX or even just how bodies work tbh. Because some people are built to be more fat or more bulky or more slim or more curvy. Regardless of diet that won't change and so many people fail to see this.

This was my first thought too as someone formerly with an ED - I actually stopped watching the video pretty early on because of it. It also makes me wonder about him being shirtless in all the videos…yes it can just be an obnoxious “tough guy” thing but I wonder if it could also be body checking. I’d assume he gets hate comments shaming his body because he’s shirtless and the internet is the way it is, especially when he is criticizing the “health” of others. I’m glad people are calling him out on it. I don’t think it will probably change his behavior, because I think if he feels attacked by any criticisms he will just double down. But I do hope talking about this can prevent others from going down that path. As a former eating disorder recovery counselor I remember learning that Keto was never supposed to be a sustainable diet. It was used for patients that had to lose weight quick for some sort of brain surgery. It’s not supposed to be sustainable. Also this guy needs to chill tf out his relationship with food is so demonized. Like man we all need carbs as a part of a healthy balanced diet you can’t cut out whole food groups
i thought it was meant to be a long term diet for epilepsy sufferers to help manage symptoms, no? but this pushing of keto on anyone and everyone that we’re seeing these days is definitely whack. my high cholesterol could never
@@mmmmmmmmaria I've heard that it's not healthy for most people (saw a study showing a high mortality rate associated with meat-based keto diets) but it is healthier for some ppl with specific health concerns. I think ppl took that to mean its generally overall healthier, which isn't really the case. For most people, if you can eat carbs you should eat carbs to some amount at least.
it was designed as a diet for epileptic children before epilepsy medications. sometimes a keto diet is prescribed to people with difficult to treat epilepsy along with epileptic medications. it wasnt designed for people without epilepsy
That makes so much about keto make sense. I did it for two months, and though I lost a lot of weight, I had to quit because eating nothing but avocado and tuna was making me irritable. I always wondered why such a specific diet garnered so much traction other than it being an unsustainable quick fix.
Recently found out that he insulted a cancer patients food. The man knew he wouldn’t survive and created a tiktok account to leave his recipes for his family. Andrew duetted one of his video’s and when made aware of the man’s situation he doubled down and said that his food was what gave him cancer.
As a pastry cook, I'm actually livid lol. Leave it to an unwashed beanie man to generalize chocolate, saying it's "designed" to be addictive, when it originated in Mesoamerica and sugar was only added when it was brought to Europe. There are so many ways to make chocolate. I worked at a place that makes stoneground chocolate, actually forms relationships with the farmers in South America and grinds the beans in house. They also make drinking chocolate similar to how it was traditionally made with a molinillo. Chocolate can be as healthy or "unhealthy" as you want it to be. Support your local chocolatiers or eat some Hershey's occasionally. But what we're not gonna do is demonize a food that takes so many forms and has thousands of years of history.
the biggest problem is thinking that shaming someone for their eating habits is going to make them want to eat better. can speak from experience - being shamed for my eating choices doesn't make me want to be healthier, it just makes me feel like shit
this goes for pretty much anything too. People will be rude assholes to ones they disagree with because they feel justified in their viewpoint being correcf
i love how this man is physically incapable of understanding that people eat sugar with the knowledge it’s bad for them. like, i could go up to this man and say, “i’m going to willingly make an unhealthy decision” and his mind would be so melted, he would compress into a blackhole and collapse upon himself.
This guy would pass out if I told him people who go through the D.A.R.E. program do drugs at a HIGHER rate than people who don’t. If he can’t handle that people eat chocolate, finding out that people intentionally huff nitrous would break him.
Also everything in moderation IS good for you. The thing that makes it good isn't the fact that you're eating cake sometimes, it's that you're still eating cake enough that your brain doesn't decide to buy 5 cakes at Walmart and eat them all in one sitting because you've been depriving yourself.
also like. sugar is in lots of stuff. fructose is a sugar. refined sugar is maybe not something we're "made" for, but our body does want sugar (in! moderation! which he hates, apparently??)
Literally these people cannot fathom the concept of eating or drinking something simply because you enjoy, not because it’s healthy. Like yes we know it’s bad, but we do not care. Some people like to have joy. We don’t all wanna eat unseasoned chicken and broccoli forever

I've been steadily losing weight over quite some time after a car accident and I did weightlifting before said accident so I used to have a habit of eating lots of dirty carbs and slamming back basically any food item I saw that was calorically dense along with a lot of proteins to rebuild muscle fibers. This became news to me when my body eventually informed my brain that I could no longer eat two pizzas a day and be fine. Moderation over time is what stopped me from binge eating to be entirely honest. I went from guzzling 4 liters of soda a day to 2, then to 4 a week and now I only drink soda socially. For carbs? I tried going keto. Bro, fuck that. No way I could just jump onto that without risking binging like a madman. So what was the solution? Cut dirty carbs and simple sugars. Going form white bread to 0 sugar added whole grain? Good start. Subbing white rice for brown/wild rice? a good touch. When I get hungry, I will also just grab some green veg and chow down. I still got the appetite of a weightlifter but I can tell you, even with the intense cravings I have sometimes, I keep that shit regular. Want some chocolate? I just do homemade hot cocoa with a little sugar and a banana. Having someone talk down to me telling me I'm doing a million things wrong is what caused me to have to take it so slow since I would hop onto doctor suggested diets and just crash. Losing weight and doing physical therapy have been hard, but rewarding and people should be taught that it's a journey, not a destination.

This guy sounds exactly like the ED voice in my head. “Thats bad, don’t eat it.” You can’t just vilify food without immediately providing positive alternatives that are accessible to the average person, its very unsafe for him to be doing this. I feel like "healthy" vs. "unhealthy" is a really unhelpful dichotomy to use when discussing food. Different foods have different nutrients in them. Yes, even cream cheese has nutrients in it. Even a hamburger. Sure, some foods have less nutrients than others, or have nutrients that aren't as important for the day to day. Some foods you may need to avoid based on your body's reaction to them, like if you have high blood pressure or a gluten allergy. But trying to categorize foods as either "good and helps your body" or "bad and hurts your body" is how you get absolutely deranged guys like this saying "lettuce is better than bread" with a straight face. Sometimes food is just food.
You can find the same nutrients in a McDonald's hamburger in a small red meat steak with bread except you don't take all the harmful substances a McDonald's hamburger has and you're eating real bread with real properties. It's not all about the nutrients, it's about what else you're getting with the nutrients and a what cost for your health, that's the difference between healthy and unhealthy and it's true dichotomy
@@pascalsimioli6777 but what you're saying literally talks about that nuance, that it is not a dichotomy but depends/is a spectrum. It's not a yes/no but a maybe/and.. Example: we can all agree McDonald's burgers aren't "healthy" in the sense of the consumers being in the dark about whatever additives or chemicals or cheap oils they are using. But if someone were to make a homemade burger, like the one Andrew was duetting in the video, that changes the game completely. Now you can't say "burgers are bad" if someone made that burger from ingredients that, alone, would otherwise be considered healthy (red meat, tomato, onion, bread/lettuce, cheese). Above all this, who says that you always have to eat 100% healthy? Eating unhealthy, or in this case ordering out at a fast food place, once in a while is actually good, at least in the perspective of it helping against binge eating, which for a majority of people happens when they suppress their cravings for a certain "unhealthy" food until they just can't take it anymore and their brains make them binge and later regret it.
This. We tend to consider foods that cover a lot of our nutritional needs while having low calories as "healthy", foods that keep you sated for a long time, foods that don't drive up your blood sugar quickly, and so on, but ultimately what you actually need massively depends on your personal needs, lifestyle, the acute situation you're in, and so on. For example - sugar is considered one of the worst foods available and pure evil, addicting, whatever. Eating raw sugar is probably the worst you could do in the eyes of most people. When I was younger, we did a lot of several days long bicycle tours across the country. We ALWAYS brought sugar, because it was frequent enough (especially in more mountainous regions) to reach a point where we literally couldn't go on before reaching the next town since our legs were shaking from blood sugar dropping too low. We didn't have the time to just sit out in the countryside and have a proper meal there (due to weather or time constraints), so we had sugar cubes ready to get us back up. Sugar getting absorbed fast and raising the blood sugar levels quickly is literally the exact properties that made it so useful to resolve that kind of situation! My point is - making sure your nutritional needs are covered and fitting your energy intake to your lifestyle are good things, but demonizing certain foods or praising others in blanket statements is just silly, because there is no such thing as "good" food or "bad" food. Protein is considered very important for muscle building, and a construction worker might need quite a lot of that. The homeoffice worker who doesn't even leave his house more than once a week though? Can literally destroy his kidneys and cause osteoporosis for him if he eats too much of it, even though it's considered "healthy". That's why it's important to keep an eye on your personal needs and adjust your diet accordingly, not just eat more or less of something because "on average" these foods are considered good or bad for you. You can develop severe deficiencies even while eating only "healthy" foods (for example, lettuce is considered healthy, because it has a lot of fiber and very little energy, but it also provides almost no nutrients). Dogmas just suck in general.
in my opinion, one can’t be unhealthy without the other and one can’t be healthy without the other. we should balance the “healthy” foods and “unhealthy” foods

It makes me sad because he clearly has a disordered relationship with food. As someone who suffers from an Ed, it's scary and incredibly harmful when you see that it has taken over someone like this and their way of dealing with it is projecting it onto other people and encouraging pro-ana culture.
How are you doing with the Ed? This comment was written a few months ago and I was wondering how you are currently and whether something changed since then.
I’m so excited you’re talking about this. As much as I pity his clearly disordered relationship with food, I detest him as a person. The shaming he attaches to food is vile, especially on a kid’s app. Thanks Jarvis!
If you used a bit of reading comprehension you'd understand that they detest him specifically for willingly spreading and promoting this kind of harmful thinking (especially on an app with a lot of kids like they said). I mean they clearly said they pity him for his disordered relationship to food, which means they have sympathy for him having "a weird thing with food" which is his own business and doesn't affect anyone but him, however shaming other people for enjoying food and not having the same warped view of it as he has is a choice he's making that's hurting people and it's completely reasonable to dislike him for it.
I'm anorexic and that dude sounds like a nightmare and all he seems to advice doing is just not eating enough. You need a balanced diet for your body to process properly. If you ONLY eat vegetables and fruits that is just not good for you. There are such things as healthy fat as well and you need those too. He's saying bullshit that took me years to learn against. You need food for your body to function. You need calories. You can't run on just low cal fibers.

As someone with an ed I know a lot of my other friends with eds have told me they get super triggered by his content, I think some people literally watch it on purpose to trigger themselves to get worse. He’s not encouraging healthy eating he’s encouraging eating disorders. If this is satire it’s hurting people, if this is how he genuinely thinks he needs to get help
Yes to all of this. I struggle with food a lot and seeing such aggression towards ‘unhealthy’ food and better than you attitudes regarding diet from people saying they are educating can make it super easy to forget that eating so called ‘bad foods’ is still far far better than eating nothing at all. Food is morally neutral, no matter what it is.
im so glad i didnt know this guy existed when i was in the throws of my eating disorder because holy fuck he would've ruined me. he literally SOUNDS like my eating disorder. his content is a breeding ground for developing a bad relationship with food :(
Yeah, every now and then some American sounding words slip in and overall it's probably a bit over the top, but it's really not bad and I genuinely find him doing it really funny.
One of the things he ignores with healthy eating (which I did a lot of research on as a young teen, because I hated diets and had a major feeling they were unhealthy) is that the focus of healthy eating should always be on making sure to eat more healthy foods, as opposed to focusing on restricting what you see as unhealthy foods
Yes! If you like ice cream, and you never let yourself eat ice cream, you are going to inevitably eat a crap ton of ice cream in one go, and then probably give up the diet completely. Sometimes you need a helping hand to eat better, is ranch dressing healthy? By no means, but if it helps you eat more vegetables if you drizzle some on top, it is healthy.
This is largely true, though it doesn’t work all that well for many people with binge eating disorders that will just eat past the point where they’re full. I eat a ton of vegetables and whole grains and stuff. It does not keep me from binging later, but not having certain foods in my house does (I only have certain foods when I eat at restaurants so it’s more controlled)
As an Australian I’m gonna clear some things up -I wish I could say we don’t claim him but unfortunately there are TONS of fuckboys and health nuts here (the fuckboys are more commonly known as eshays) -I’ve literally never heard the phrase ‘happy birthday’ in a context other than if it is somebody’s birthday so idk about that one lol -your accent is actually rlly good -Australia is a VERY satirical country, after a while you get used to breaking through the layers of satire -ppl do really talk like that here they’re just crackheads lol

But what we're not gonna do is demonize a food that takes so many forms and has thousands of years of history.
it's almost like food is actually "designed" to taste good and any big corporation blaming is just a way to deflect poor self control

@@pascalsimioli6777 No, that's still not a dichotomy, it's a spectrum.
"Who am I? I am Andrew, born on this planet, like you and I."
That is an extremely odd sentence.
He's clearly an alien that doesn't understand human food. He gets everything he needs through photosynthesis

Exactly what someone who was not born on this planet like you and I would want you and I to believe...
The first guy he reacted to with the chocolate sculpture is a professional chocolatier lol. Also one person doesn’t eat that, pieces like those are usually show pieces that are broken up after events and handed out to 100 plus guests this guys a muppet lol.
"Chocolatier" has to be the most ludicrous word I've ever heard
@@shroederthatboy.4691 what's ludicrous about it? it's just what he does is. amaury guichon is a fantastic master chocolatier and pastry chef.
@@shroederthatboy.4691 it’s literally the name of the job lol it’s French I believe. It’s like how the people who specialize on wine in restaurants are called sommeliers
@@kerberose the word sounds funny.

As an Australian, I can proudly say that Jarvis’s Australian accent is better than The Simpsons could ever do.
This man took his unhealthy relationship with food and decided everyone else needs to deal with it too
As an aussie, yes you SHOULD apologise but you were actually getting better the more you practised it was cool to watch
If he got really drunk, then had someone slap him across the face repeatedly to bloody up his lips, and after that Jarvis tried the accent, he would of been right on.
How can you be Australian when your comment isn't upside down? 🤔

Having misophonia, those disgusting slurpy tongue noises are already grounds for murder, they are exceedingly unnecessary and very uncomfortable. I know it's far from the biggest problem with this guy but still. Absolutely horrible.
Also what kind of weather is he having to wear a beanie but no shirt?? Is his head in a different clime to his torso?
Same I can’t stand slurping but the worst of alll for me is chewing it’s disgusting and makes me irrationally angry
@@Tiiiisslovesyou same omg
Yes, I don't understand why people do this. I have sensory issues and I want to strangle people if I have to hear them eat or drink.
bro fellow person with misophonia here and honestly i had to mute it at those parts, most irritating thing i've ever head
Hes tall
I'm Australian and I don't accept your apology
But yeah nah. This guy probably hides in the bushes of a Macca's drive through and heckles people at the window
This is my biggest fear when I go to the maccas drive thru and you just realised it.
I'm sorry you have to live near this man
I’m Aussie too and I don’t get it, I swear I hear a more kiwi accent. I might be wrong but I swore when I first heard his voice I thought it was more kiwi than Aussie. Idk🤷♀️
I probably just don’t want to accept him as an Aussie honestly😂
I hope he’s not in Sydney
It makes me sad because he clearly has a disordered relationship with food. As someone who suffers from an Ed, it's scary and incredibly harmful when you see that it has taken over someone like this and their way of dealing with it is projecting it onto other people and encouraging pro-ana culture.
How are you doing with the Ed? This comment was written a few months ago and I was wondering how you are currently and whether something changed since then.
It’s been a year, hope you’re doing well :)
I’m so excited you’re talking about this. As much as I pity his clearly disordered relationship with food, I detest him as a person. The shaming he attaches to food is vile, especially on a kid’s app. Thanks Jarvis!
Appreciate you calling TikTok a kids' app, justified my ignoring it.
Yeah someone (who you have never met) having a weird thing with food is a perfectly normal reason to hate someone as a human being
@@kibbs1869 yes it is, especially when they spout hateful bullshit at others and projecting their internalized shame and SHAMING others.
I hope I explained that clearly enough, it might be a bit rambly instead.
You can't run on just low cal fibers.
lmao ikr i watched this with some eating shit going on myself and i was kinda worried his rhetoric would be on my side but this guy is so wildly extreme even i couldn’t agree with the stuff he was going on about
eating chocolate and pure carbs while watching this brought a great joy in my heart knowing this guy would start screaming and tweaking out on camera half naked because of it
As someone with an ed I know a lot of my other friends with eds have told me they get super triggered by his content, I think some people literally watch it on purpose to trigger themselves to get worse. He’s not encouraging healthy eating he’s encouraging eating disorders. If this is satire it’s hurting people, if this is how he genuinely thinks he needs to get help
I agree entirely. This is exactly the sort of content I sought out when I was really struggling with my ed.
Yes to all of this. I struggle with food a lot and seeing such aggression towards ‘unhealthy’ food and better than you attitudes regarding diet from people saying they are educating can make it super easy to forget that eating so called ‘bad foods’ is still far far better than eating nothing at all. Food is morally neutral, no matter what it is.
im so glad i didnt know this guy existed when i was in the throws of my eating disorder because holy fuck he would've ruined me. he literally SOUNDS like my eating disorder. his content is a breeding ground for developing a bad relationship with food :(
As an Australian, I always look forward to when Jarvis whips out the old accent because it really makes me feel at home. Talk about some gold content
Same. He's improving too!
Yeah, every now and then some American sounding words slip in and overall it's probably a bit over the top, but it's really not bad and I genuinely find him doing it really funny.
Does sound a bit more like a Kiwi but it's the thought that counts
Honestly, he has so much fun with it that it feels like a warm hug
I never realised I say butter like BUTTAH
One of the things he ignores with healthy eating (which I did a lot of research on as a young teen, because I hated diets and had a major feeling they were unhealthy) is that the focus of healthy eating should always be on making sure to eat more healthy foods, as opposed to focusing on restricting what you see as unhealthy foods
yesssss louder for people from the back
I agree!
@@alicine-sims8988 Exactly!! Plus if you eat more healthy food you're not going to be hungry enough to eat as much unhealthy food
As an Australian I’m gonna clear some things up
-I wish I could say we don’t claim him but unfortunately there are TONS of fuckboys and health nuts here (the fuckboys are more commonly known as eshays)
-I’ve literally never heard the phrase ‘happy birthday’ in a context other than if it is somebody’s birthday so idk about that one lol
-your accent is actually rlly good
-Australia is a VERY satirical country, after a while you get used to breaking through the layers of satire
-ppl do really talk like that here they’re just crackheads lol

Has he found out that fruit evolved to taste good? To be....sweeter. He's gunna have a fit when he finds out that the food he eats was also designed to taste good.
I don't think evolved is the right word here did you mean cultivated/domesticated?
@@degeneratemilkhater5696 it initially evolved to be appealing to native animals as the plants with fruits that were eaten by many animals would have their seeds spread by those animals, and then we domesticated them and also cultivated them to make them taste better/bigger etc. So technically yes to both i think
@@abathtub1411 ohhhhh I didn't know about that first bit! That's super interesting thanks!

Even if it's entirely a joke, I'm under the belief that this type of content is extremely harmful to people with EDs or to people prone to them. It's not even funny, it's just horribly obnoxious, and it hurts people.

From someone who regularly suffers from insomnia - holy shit look at his eyes. He's either tweaking or has serious unresolved stuff that requires a professional, anyone who exercises that much shouldn't look so exhausted constantly.
Sadly, as a guy who's into fitness, he probably looks that way because he IS exercising so much. Given how restrictive his food intake is, he's probably exercising way too much on way too little. It's like trying to drive a car cross-country on 2 gallons of gas.
