@@madhokte This is just not true. An accent is simply a difference in pronunciations. Right? I'm not black, but it's the idea of any stereotype, especially a negative one, is somehow key to you. it was so wrong for him to call Brevin privileged when 1) there are PLENTY of black people out there who come from wealthier backgrounds like poverty isn’t just the default for us and 2) HES LITERALLY GAY???
You can be black and/or gay, and also privileged. I think it's kind of offensive to believe that a black person can never exist within a sphere of privilege. But they also voted dude out based on nothing lol. Jubilee videos are weird, but the guy at the end says you shouldn't stereotype black people but they all used stereotypes and incorrectly kept the only white guy in the group because of his accent and struggle story. Which is really sad. It feels like a Pygmalion effect. I wish people would stop expecting Rob's to be the "typical" black experience.
I think the problem you're all having here is that being privileged isn't a straightup yes or no thing. That's why intersectionality exists. We acknowledge all axis' on which a person might be opressed and/or privileged. A white straight poor trans woman suffers from different types of opression than say a wealthy gay cis black guy. Etc. Wealth is probably the biggest privilege out of them all, but even the wealthiest trans woman is opressed, and being white might mean you're privileged in that respect but ooooh boy let me tell you, a white guy in a whole lot of debt is still probably faring worse off than a black billionaire. The types of struggles we go through, the societal opression we face, is very idiosyncretic. Stop trying to put people into a particular box (as mentioned in the video). The world isn't that simple. Individual factors of identity might mean you're "more privileged/opressed" but there is no objective threshold for when you "stop being privileged/opressed"
@@scoutbane1651 I do think it's important to note that no one in the comments under the post said he wasn't also oppressed, so, aside from the top post, everyone here is in agreement that intersectionality exists. Wealth is privilege, minority status is underprivileged. Those are three (wealthy, black, gay) things we know about this individual and they all come together to form (part) of a whole person. So when people clarified that you can be both oppressed AND privileged [proportional to the other black men] by being gay and wealthy, they weren't saying there was a hard line, they're saying you can be multiple things at once. Which I agree with. Of course, I missed the bit where he actually said he was wealthy. I heard him mention his home life, but I am doing like 5 things at once right now so I probably just missed it.
22:49 ok is just me or is it really fucking funny that the moment he says black people are put in boxes it cuts to the outro with his footage in a box lmao

19:38 When that guy referred to Brevin as "the others"........ makes me laugh else I'd cry at how on the nose he's being without realizing it. And then preaching at the end about not seeing a group of people as a monolith when he was literally like "I can't relate to you so kick rocks". Not saying he's a bad guy or anything. Just hopefully he's a little more introspective after this.
Their reactions to finding out that Rob was white after connecting with him reminded me of when the girl revealed to the poetry club that she was white.
It really does feel like for a lot of us mixed ppl the exact way the one dude felt, where you feel too "white" to hang with black folk and too "black" to hang with the white folk. It really fricking sucks man 😩
My mom has had that issue. Her White grandpa he was like "you're too black, you'll never accomplish anything" my mom is only like 1/12 black, my mom is a pasty ass mixed race Puerto Rican. She had a Mexican ex-cowoker say "you're too white, stop lying that you are Latina" and her "friend"/Yoga Teach whose mixed race White/Asian said "Puerto Ricans aren't Hispanic, they are Caribbean" like seriously WTF
last guy being asked abt the misconception of black men andhhe literally said that black men arent a monolith yet his motive to vote brevin out was because he "sounded privileged", meanwhile he literally stated he was a queer black person which is enough reason for him to sound like he did or talk abt the experiences he did like watching disney channel or whatever
Nah he’d be yelling slurs the moment someone doubts him. Deffo would bring the n word topic like,”you can’t get upset at people when they say a word !” 💀

i feel like eliminating Brevin was a microaggression, queer people of color are often treated as "less ethnic" because of their queerness. As a queer person of color i get that a lot from other people of my race and ethnicity
Lol, okay feel that way I guess. The entire point is "guess this persons blackness" -- the entire thing would be a microaggression if you want to be retarded enough about it.
Yeah, I definitely agree. I feel like a lot of the time, intersectionality isn’t really /seen/, you know? Like, you’re either seen as black OR gay, not both.
it’s so sad to hear how the people that got booted didn’t feel black enough. like hearing their stories of racism just breaks my heart. but also belt for rob in a way bc his story sounded kinda sad. honestly so great that all these guys got on hope they all made friends or at least some of them
Watching the amount of community they have makes me so happy. It's so wholesome. I'm not even paying attention to the little guessing game part. I just wanna hear them talk about what circumstances they have in common. I want a reality show that's all of them talking about their interests.
I've always wondered if certain harder questions are off limits until a certain number of people are gone already, cause they always seem to start with the surface level and as soon as the next person leaves dial it up a notch.
The funny thing about this episode and everything like it is it's another example of America being the most culturally influential or relevant country in the world. The continent of Africa exists yet the concept of "blackness", even as it's discussed or understood on a global level, is dictated by what some black Americans are like. I felt like this was going the way it did as soon as Rob opened his mouth, because the whole premise is rooted in half stereotype, half gut. And by that metric, Rob didn't sound or seem "white" but there weren't enough black dudes who didn't sound or seem "black" to trip things up. I fall on the "labeled an oreo my whole life" end of the spectrum because nothing about me is black to anyone except how I look lol They should have thrown a black person like me in there, tossed in a Brit like Adika because some folks are still lowkey flubbered by Euro accents of any kind coming out of a black (or half black) mouth. Maybe spring for a Carlton Banks. Not only would it have made everyone's guess harder, it would've made the point that we're not a monolith stronger. Whereas this just sort of reinforced the idea that most black folks are exactly what you think, so if one tiny thing deviates, they aren't. Even if they are. P.S. Love your videos even though I don't watch the tube as much in general or comment. Hope you each explode with subscribers, views, opportunities and cake.
I think part of it is the US being culturally influential, but I think the other part is that the US has their head so far up their ass they don't care to know that there is other types of people out there.
"The continent of Africa exists yet the concept of "blackness", even as it's discussed or understood on a global level, is dictated by what some black Americans are like." I mean I don't think that's as true as you think it is, if it is it's because by people that percieve black people as a monolith. The US has 20 million Asians but the US has no real influence in terms of Asian perception. Europe has a lot of African immigrants, Africa has a lot of Africans, places like Australia originally had black natives, so on, most of the world interacts with black people not defined by US culture.
You think blackness on a global level is defined by america, thats so dumb lmao. You think that because you only speak english and Interact with Western culture. I promise you its not like that at all
its interesting bc the reality of this is a class distinction more so than one of race based off the the experiences they were all bonding over (like living in south central, struggling with money, maybe a single parent, ect.) and unfortunately in the us the reality is that poc are systematically disenfranchised and many poc are highly concentrated in impoverished areas through no fault of their own (obviously) but the lower class is also not a monolith so you get intersectionality based upon race ethnicity gender etc. my point is i feel like their bond with rob came from that. ofc hes never gonna understand living life as a black man even if they grew up down the block from eachother but same goes for a black man never being able to fully understand the struggles of a black woman -> intersectionality and what not idk i find it really interesting side note tho this was kinda fucked on the producers part i feel like they are contributing to a narrative 💀
It was kinda frustrating watching Jordan and Jarvis say Rob was giving bad answers lmao, since I knew the whole time he won and was completely not faking anything
I feel like it would be better if they did this on like a Zoom call or something so people would be more aware if someone's not talking. If I were blindfolded in a room with 6 people, it would easy for me not to notice one hasn't spoken at all.
That does exist!!! They had an intense chat it was really interesting, cant remember who did it. There were a lot more people like 8 at least maybe 15. It was cute they felt like friends. I dont remember who did it might not be jubilee.

the ad read having "I'm Obama in his 2nd term" and "someone on my side who is coincidentally" really made me think Obama had sponsored this video with a line of hair products
While I was watching this video, Siri activated for the first time in history and decided to call a man I had not spoken to in 6 years. I will need some time to recover from this, and I will watch the rest of the video at a later date. Thank you
I have no idea why but Jordan's phone in his pocket is making me very uncomfortable and I can't stop staring at it. It feels like he is slyly taking a video of us.

it was so wrong for him to call Brevin privileged when 1) there are PLENTY of black people out there who come from wealthier backgrounds like poverty isn’t just the default for us and 2) HES LITERALLY GAY???
Mf they were blind folded ☠️
wealth is still a form of privilege, he wasnt wrong. a wealthy gay man is much more privileged than a poor one.
That one second of Sad Boyz out of context is the absolute peak of character assassination against Jarvis, my god.
timestamp pls
@@badger6882 literally the start of the episode
@@xGamermonkeyx oh yeah lmao
When Brevin got out that made me so sad, I still feel like I don't fit in with either group and seeing him have that fear validated was so heartbreaking.
Hey Jordan, secure the bag with that ad 💵. But also gray/white hair is hot as hell. For anyone who was wondering. Rock your own look and you're cool
Exactly my thoughts. I'm fine with any, but I'm secretly hoping for white/grey hair like my grandad. But at the same time, everyone deserves to look like how they want. Get that pay day.
@@JhericFury So only good for men then. Cool.
you two are the only people that bring me out of my hyperfixations
wait cuz same, i keep on having fixations on flamingo and markiplier and i dont want to get bored of them so i watch jordan and jarvis 😽
dude 17 likes ? loll
I was so invested in Slime Rancher a couple seconds ago and these two instantly brought me out of the zone
Oh look, black people being judged for not struggling enough I’m shocked😭 like we’re not all the same man wtf. I’m glad Jarvis said something
Also saying that Brevin seems privileged after he said that he is a queer black man, how the fuck is he privileged?
@@phaeste he meant purely monetarily, obviously?
@@samaraisnt that would be incredibly stupid. Privilege isn't just money
it clearly is and can be@@phaeste
@@phaeste It really is tho lol, working class just too blind to see it.
I feel like Jordan is secretly filming us, the audience with his phone like that 👀
he's gettin that reaction content live
I cannot describe the fear I felt when I read that title, I thought they'd rebooted Black/White
Their reactions to finding out that Rob was white after connecting with him reminded me of when the girl revealed to the poetry club that she was white.
I couldn't finish those tbh
Hey friend you are black because you are I know it’s just one voice against the crowd but I really hope it helps
@@berny8463 That makes no sense, every group of people falls into these stereotypes, do you think asian or native ppl dont drop stereotypes??
the tone of video like FLIPPED when they brought up the series they watched in their childhoods went from suspicious to "ermergerd dragonball" 🤣
last guy being asked abt the misconception of black men andhhe literally said that black men arent a monolith yet his motive to vote brevin out was because he "sounded privileged", meanwhile he literally stated he was a queer black person which is enough reason for him to sound like he did or talk abt the experiences he did like watching disney channel or whatever
Someone bring Bruno onto this show
“why didn’t i win? i perfectly imitated a black man using my experience as a black man that one time !”
"it's a blindfolded experiment, why are you still wearing the makeup"
“Yo yo yo imma ***redacted***” -Bruno in the first 30 seconds
Nah he’d be yelling slurs the moment someone doubts him. Deffo would bring the n word topic like,”you can’t get upset at people when they say a word !” 💀
@Boomerang swings both ways You do know the Rob uses the N-word casually right? There is no need to bring in Bruno when you got Rob to fill that space.
Rob just disasociated through almost the whole game and still won
I love Rob. He played it so well and when it was over he seemed like moderately happy about it.
Very chill dude. The kind of chill dude I’d be intimidated to be around because I’m not chill enough for him.
Poor Brevin 😭 absolutely shattering and common queer experience
I was worried how this was gonna go, but Rob’s a real one
What’s going on this ROB I played the secret white Guy 👀
What’s up rob secret mole
Yooo watching this was so funny. At first I was like oh issa white guy who wants to be black. Then I find out your life and I realized no, his mom probably braided his hair LMAO ✌🏽✌🏽💀
You played it beautifully, plus a really nice backround
yoo! you seem so cool fr loved seeing you vibe with everyone
Duuude, it’s you! This was a great episode. Congrats on your win
i feel like eliminating Brevin was a microaggression, queer people of color are often treated as "less ethnic" because of their queerness.
Like, you’re either seen as black OR gay, not both.
it’s so sad to hear how the people that got booted didn’t feel black enough. like hearing their stories of racism just breaks my heart. but also belt for rob in a way bc his story sounded kinda sad. honestly so great that all these guys got on hope they all made friends or at least some of them
"Rob is different" bro just had his heart shattered
Jarvis it’s amazing how u and Javelin make it seem like it’s all one channel
“What was your favorite flavor of koolaid?
“Uh, grape.”
“YOU MEAN PURPLE?”
he couldn't say his nickname it would've gave it away in a heartbeat it was straight up MILK
"My hex code is all 0's" is so good
Nice to see Jordan helping out tiny UA-camrs
this is unrelated but anybody else getting Arthur and Buster vibes with these two?!?!?? like i cant unsee it
This feels like cursed knowledge, put it back in the vault lol
Lmao same
stopppp omggg
who is buster n who is arthur lmaooo. i wanna know your pov here! lol
Watching the amount of community they have makes me so happy. It's so wholesome. I'm not even paying attention to the little guessing game part. I just wanna hear them talk about what circumstances they have in common. I want a reality show that's all of them talking about their interests.
jordan having his phone in his pocket like that feels like he's attempting to secretly recording me watching his video.
I've always wondered if certain harder questions are off limits until a certain number of people are gone already, cause they always seem to start with the surface level and as soon as the next person leaves dial it up a notch.
yeah like you'd think for $1000 someone would start right off the bat with some really heavy hitters
like say the n word had to be banned
I am so fucking glad that that's Rob's actual accent.
I fall on the "labeled an oreo my whole life" end of the spectrum because nothing about me is black to anyone except how I look lol
They should have thrown a black person like me in there, tossed in a Brit like Adika because some folks are still lowkey flubbered by Euro accents of any kind coming out of a black (or half black) mouth.
"The continent of Africa exists yet the concept of "blackness", even as it's discussed or understood on a global level, is dictated by what some black Americans are like."
I mean I don't think that's as true as you think it is, if it is it's because by people that percieve black people as a monolith.
I promise you its not like that at all
its interesting bc the reality of this is a class distinction more so than one of race based off the the experiences they were all bonding over (like living in south central, struggling with money, maybe a single parent, ect.) and unfortunately in the us the reality is that poc are systematically disenfranchised and many poc are highly concentrated in impoverished areas through no fault of their own (obviously) but the lower class is also not a monolith so you get intersectionality based upon race ethnicity gender etc.
my point is i feel like their bond with rob came from that. ofc hes never gonna understand living life as a black man even if they grew up down the block from eachother but same goes for a black man never being able to fully understand the struggles of a black woman -> intersectionality and what not
idk i find it really interesting
side note tho this was kinda fucked on the producers part i feel like they are contributing to a narrative 💀
It was kinda frustrating watching Jordan and Jarvis say Rob was giving bad answers lmao, since I knew the whole time he won and was completely not faking anything
None of that will stop your hair from going grey. It’s genetic and stress related. But I’m glad your getting that ad money.
Jarvis's little "woof woof" for the wolfpack intro made my week
Always love videos with Jarvis, especially the Jubilee vids.
Javelin has some great videos, too.
rob's body language when he threw the money really made me smile. idk why. he stands like a peanuts character.
Jarvis doing Rob is so funny
I’m am totally a Brevin and I feel his pain, keep your head up buddy!
Genuinely im on the edge of my seat for these videos, hearing yalls perspective is incredibly interesting and I feel like im constantly getting excited relating to things you both say!!
I'm convinced your the best comedic duo in this universe
rob just barely dodged a bullet thanks to his life story and that being his real accent
the ad read having "I'm Obama in his 2nd term" and "someone on my side who is coincidentally" really made me think Obama had sponsored this video with a line of hair products
You guys are such a dynamic duo
Love how Jarvis is just vibing with the blokes
While I was watching this video, Siri activated for the first time in history and decided to call a man I had not spoken to in 6 years. I will need some time to recover from this, and I will watch the rest of the video at a later date. Thank you
Update: I watched the video and I had a good time! :)
ngl i get so soft when dudes start bonding over stuff like disney movies
real
Were you hard before?
I have no idea why but Jordan's phone in his pocket is making me very uncomfortable and I can't stop staring at it. It feels like he is slyly taking a video of us.
It would be great if they did one of the odd person out where they are all the same, just trick them into turning on each other and the awkward stereotypes
love the grey hair streaks!!
They’ve gotta do one of these where everyone is an imposter
Jordan reacting so shocked to his own outro sent me 😆"JESUS, oh yea that's right..!"
“I like grape!“
“You mean PURPLE? 😂😂😂😂
*Jubilee’s next video* 1 white guy has to guess the ages of 6 Black people.
the most chaotic/horrible thing I can imagine is this exact same video but the white guy they picked was that rapper Tom McDonald
what
This has to be one of very few episodes that wasn't that bad. Rob was chill guy like legit chill.
Bro milk did say multiple black women from the 90s why did u cut that out that’s weird
Jarvis’s style is always *chef kiss*
The reason they get so heated at him is because he’s not trying to play a game he’s just chatting 💀
Hi Jarvis and Jordan! Thanks for a great video! Much love!
ahem it’s javelin and jarvis 😌 lmfao
I love how you guys went from mocking his accent coz you thought he was pretending to being like " i think he really grew up in the hood" 😂😂😂
Fun fact:walter jones, actor of zachary taylor aka the black power ranger actually requested to be the black power ranger to eliminate confusion
you two are always just too fun together
bro when jarvis said that people used to confuse him with a white woman on the phone my gender dysphoria just evaporated i went like "oh thank god that it happens with cis men as well"
As a child. Not as a grown ass man 😂
"Hawaiian shirt but from the prehistoric era" TOOK ME OUT 💀
I'm loving all these collabs.
Your chemistry is 😌🤌
This was more wholesome than I expected it to be
If Jordan was sat across from me on a train I’d be paranoid the whole time he’s filming me
Alright that moment when the white guy was talking about being in the streets, everyone immediately comforted him. It was a really sweet moment
rob literally won bc everyone forgot he was there in the studio
