My grandmother taught me the whipped coffee thing a while ago, but made it into hot coffee. So here’s an actually useful recipe to make a nicer instant coffee: put 2 spoonfuls of instant coffee and 2-and-a-little-more spoonfuls of sugar in a mug (preferably not a huge mug as that’ll make it harder to whip later) and then add the tiniest bit of water, like maybe a small spoon’s worth of warm water. When you mix the coffee and sugar, there should only be enough water to make it into a slightly wet clump (sounds gross but I couldn’t find a better word). Start mixing the coffee and sugar and water in the mug vigorously with a spoon for a few minutes, until it’s gone from a dark brown clump to a nice light colored thick mixture. Hold the mug with the mixture over the sink and start pouring hot milk into the mug and then move the container of hot milk upwards so you’re pouring from about a foot or two above the mug (that’s why you do it over the sink). At the end you’ll have a really nice creamy coffee with a nice layer of foam at the top. It’s really rich and sweet and not suuuuper time consuming (especially if you put an electric mixer in the mug, though you’ll only be able to fit one of the two whisks in there)

I used to try to make chicken noodle soup when I was little, but couldn't figure out how. My parents once caugh tiny me in the kitchen with a pot of cold tap water with a carrot and some pepper in it in the floor.

This reminded me the time when me and my brother used to stay at our grandma's house and we did similar stuff. We crumbled some cookies into a bowl, added some juice or water, chocolate, wafers or some other sweets and make it into "new" cookies. It was disgusting but also so much fun. :)

This is prison food. That's what it is. Not cafeteria prison food, but like the sorts of meals you prepare when the only ingredients you have access to are what you can get from commissary or a snack machine and maybe it's a minimum security place where they let you have access to a hot water pot or something.

getti spaghetti is an almost exact recreation of kays cooking's spaghetti other than the nerds and stuff. kays cooking just threw some uncooked tomato sauce at the end
I really love when Tiktok America discovers the most basic things. I am Italian and here in some caffés you can actually find big bowls of "whipped coffee" and you can add a spoon of it to your espresso/latte or whatever. Here we make it like this: you make some regular coffee, then pour it into a bowl, add some sugar and then mix it really fast (it's like whipped cream so you have to whip it, lol) and we call it literally "coffee cream" because we add it on top of hot coffees. We even use it as frosting for cakes or just enjoy it with some chocolate powder/syrup. It's delicious :)

We had a big food scare here in Australia a few years ago because people where hiding needles and razor blades in strawberries and this reminds me of that (The price of strawberries like, plummeted and everyone was freaking out, it was a whole thing)

For a couple moments on the strawberry one I fully thought this was some new kind of Russian roulette where you have to eat one of the strawberries and pray it doesn't have a razor blade inside.
It gave me flashbacks to when a razor blade was actually found in a strawberry at a supermarket in Australia so the whole country just stopped eating strawberries for a while 🤷🏼♀️

the whole thing about the chips omelette comes originally from spain. it is based on a real hack for making fast tortilla espanol, which calls for small cut fried potatoes, for which potato chips are the ideal workaround. normally you only just mix the ingredients in the chips bag and pour the whole thing in a pan and fry it both sides, or you can also bake it in a heat proof cast iron pan in the oven.

The craziest thing to me about Getti's hot cheetos mac n cheese is that instead of doing the logical thing, which is just crushing up the cheetos into a fine powder to add AFTER the macs are cheesed... she boils them down into a lumpy neon lava that eclipses the miniscule amount of cheese sauce. You can't drain water from mush at that point.

Another option is to powderize the Cheetos and add them into an otherwise normal macaroni cheese roux.. And it'd taste.. Well, probably actually pretty good! Then just top the macaroni with crumbled Cheetos and it'd be perfect. And if you make homemade macaroni, please make a roux and don't use packaged cheese stuff. It's way better and worth it too.
I’d imagine it would like be SO much better if she made it like regular Mac and cheese and then DRAINED the water ADDED some milk (just a little bit) mixed the cheese in with the Macaroni and the “hot Cheeto powder” on top :)

21:26 Yes! How To Cook That has prepared to debunk this hack! You would not be able to whip coffee grounds, sugar and water into a foam, because it's the fat in cream that makes it foamy. The fat content needs to be a certain percentage (I think it's around 30%, but I don't remember the actual number) in order for you to whip it up; the same logic applies to frosting by the way. In order for the coffee whip to work, try adding heavy cream instead of water.

During camping trips i've actually made scrambled eggs in a bag. You take a ziplock bag and put eggs with cheese and peppers and wherver you want, mix it up and break the yolk, then boil them in a pot. It's actually pretty good.
