You can tell Shelby guy wasn’t expecting 100k but still tried to get more. Well done anchoring the asking price so high that the buyer felt in an awkward spot offering 100k. Lots of phycology involved in negotiating
The show changed a lot over the years. Rick made so much money from the tv show he just buys everything that he finds cool and pays top dollar. The negotiating part is secondary to the history lessons we all learn.

37K for a car with those credentials is a steal indeed. A nice vintage car. That played in a movie. Where it was driven by Steve McQueen. 37K. Come on, man.
More and more so. It's getting to be where it costs 30k+ to own just about any classic that's in good running and driving condition and hasn't been modified. People are cutting the wheel wells on 55 year old cars just to jam big ugly wheels onto them.
My aunt had a 66 Shelby Mustang ( may have been 68). It was blue with a wide white stripe. that car was awesome. I loved riding in it when I was a kid.
My first car was a 61' Monza back in late 60's. 2dr with 3 on the floor. Automatic's were a 2 spd. Very slushy & slow. Front end was sloppy like this one, but I rebuilt it; made it a lot tighter. Heater was an exchanger from the heat off the manifold Any pin holes or tears and you'd smell exhaust. The one shown has been converted to an alternator, originals had generators. I put headers and 'cherry bombs' as well. If it was loud, it was faster, right? Nader did them in though. They were prone to broken fan belts and catching on fire. Most owners kept a spare belt under the seat. Two of us ran 90k miles with one under the seat & never had any mechanical issues. Gas mileage? who cares, gas was 25 cents a gal. I had $200 into it and sold it a few years later for $125. I was happy.
I remember Steve McQueen driving a Mustang GT in a movie called "Bullitt". It sold over a year ago for $3.4 million at auction in Florida. Badass Cars!
That’s the ultimate car of cars to own, a really beautiful car modern and old is sheer class! If you want to drive a car no matter the car, drive within the speed limits and get a car with modern safety features, really is safer!

"He's the one taking the risk at action" We get it. School failed you and economics isn't your thing!
Elanor was a GT500. Most GT350s were rent a racers for Hertz rental cars... And I don't know how the Chevy II hadn't already had the rear end implode. Does anyone know what diff was in those?
These folks should have Pawn Stars make an offer first and determine if their offer is something the owner can work with. I haven’t seen many people get their asking price once Pawn Star crew informs their experts what the owner’s offer is. Let the negotiations begin. Great show though. I enjoyed it. ♥️
Corvair, Coreys statement that he can buy convertibles for 10k completely redone is a ridiculous statement. That's a used car salesman taking advantage of a young girl that doesn't have a idea of what car stuff is worth. Show me an example Corey. You can't buy more than a good paint job for 10K
I dont know how its in the US with this type of cars but over here in Germany (and propably the rest of EU too) you need to pay 10k for a total rustbucket and at least 20k for something thats even close to being redone
My favorite part of this video is how Danny made Rick sit in the back of the McQueen 51. I felt like if Rick didn't get the car, Danny would have made an offer.
ANYBODY who knows who Steve McQueen was and his legacy will agree that Bullitt was one of his all-time best movies as far as car chases go. That 67 Highland Green Mustang that he drove against that Dodge Charger is THE BEST chase sequence I've ever seen. Actually, it's been voted Best Car Chase Sequence many times. Steve McQueen was an absolute legend and it's up to us who have heard of him and have seen his many movies to keep his memory alive. I'm only 38, but I am a diehard car guy and I have always appreciated Steve McQueen.
the 67 was built by Ford using Shelby stuff Ford and Shelby were going apart at the time, I had a 66 bought brand new at Hayward Ford in California. The 67 had alot of " comfort" built in and didn't have the draw of the 66. When the 67 came out and were on the floor, that's when I bought the 66, you should have seen the inventory of Shelby built cars on hand, from 427 roadsters, 289 roadsters, 66 coupes ( at least 10 ) in all configurations in the shop. plus the 67's had arrived and I got a very sweet deal for the trade in (64 Cheve El Cameno ) and a killer deal for the 66.
I actually don't remember where I was at for the OJ chase, I remember listening to the verdict over the PA of my High School and I remember all the coverage of the trial but I don't remember watching the actual chase live.
You know that dude cried that night curled up in a ball in the garage where that shelby used to sit. That chevy covair was mad as. I would love to cruise down to the shops in that.
no one alive today has ever seen that movie, it came out a decade before anyone was born, so there's nothing surprising, despite that movie making American cars popular for a short while.
Until he doesnt want something, every time Chumlee shows him sneakers he says "I can't sell something I know nothing about" not true, he just doesnt want something that isn't from the year 2000 on.

Absolutely has to be the case. It'd actually be a clever trick for someone to say "actually, I'd prefer to hear what the expert says first" and then divert all attempts to eek out an answer...... It's different from the usual script, and if they turned down an item/sale JUST because a potential customer wouldn't divulge that info prior, that would be a stupid way to do business. But yeah, that HAS to be a tactic they use. They're in the pawn business. Quite often greedy, to be direct. *Boyfriend of the account holder commenting*
@@ttv-itstheman2222 tactical move..... Reverse psychology. But I admit, that's my bias. I've watched it happen many more times where the expert quotes a lower price, or RIGHT at what the customer is asking. And sometimes, the customer asks a low enough price, not knowing enough about what the item is..... And the shop and expert doesn't completely screw the person. But, folks like the Harrisons..... yeah, they know all the tactics. I've made up my mind, basically. But, no disrespect to anyone .... Except these rich shop owners/tv stars, who literally let deals fail, over a hundred dollars. Sometimes less. These folks who come in, need money, and we don't know the real reasons. The owners are millionaires, and still nickle and dime to the max. I don't care it's a business, it's taking advantage of people in difficult positions. When a small group of men, create a legal system that makes their plundering lawful, and a moral code that glorifies it..... That's a sad situation. And every one on here that glorify the Harrisons.... They're falling into that thinking. Perpetuating the whole cycle. It's not a good thing. Despise what they all think. *Boyfriend of the account holder commenting.*

Elanor was a GT500. Most GT350s were rent a racers for Hertz rental cars... And I don't know how the Chevy II hadn't already had the rear end implode. Does anyone know what diff was in those?
Rick has on that Viking gold bracelet 👍🏿
I love that 4 voltcutter! It’s real NiceLike! The entire 4 volt line looks awesome!
I thought the car was sold in 60 seconds at the auction XD
It was...?
@@CBrown621 they probably had 60 seconds to bid. It was a clever joke.
I thought Eleanor, in gone in 60 seconds, was a 67' Shelby GT500.
she is
That's the mythical creature. Memphis unicorn.
Waiting to be plucked
Yes it was
It was...lol
.
"A million three."
~Clark Griswold stuffing the cash back into his wallet~
Nice classic reference.
Rick: I love one of a kind items.
Also Rick: eeem I can’t value the car cause there’s nothing else like it.
The only time he loses one $$$ is on something like a Steve McQueen vehicle. But you know he's keeping it for himself so I guess it's a win.
I think the seller knew that. That’s why he felt comfortable selling the car to Rick
These folks should have Pawn Stars make an offer first and determine if their offer is something the owner can work with. I haven’t seen many people get their asking price once Pawn Star crew informs their experts what the owner’s offer is.
Let the negotiations begin. Great show though. I enjoyed it.
♥️
Doesn't matter, its all scripted. Negotiations are prior to taping. Experts wouldn't be able to stop at the drop of dime like that.
I've been thinking the same, but I would say, "let's find out the fair market value and negotiate the percentage ". 40/60 or 70/30 or 80/20 etc.
Seller knows what he wants
Rick: I'm not going to negotiate. I'm at 100,000.
Me: I'm at 105,000 and let's be real Rick you ain't letting me walk for 5,000
Corvair, Coreys statement that he can buy convertibles for 10k completely redone is a ridiculous statement. That's a used car salesman taking advantage of a young girl that doesn't have a idea of what car stuff is worth. Show me an example Corey. You can't buy more than a good paint job for 10K
I thought the same thing trying to take advantage...he was like attacking her with his comments...smh 🤦♂️
Not many classic car enthusiasts would pay 10k for a paint job.
I dont know how its in the US with this type of cars but over here in Germany (and propably the rest of EU too) you need to pay 10k for a total rustbucket and at least 20k for something thats even close to being redone
Her car is a pos has lot of mechanical problems an paint issues so shut up lol 😆😂 you'd be the stupid sucker to buy it
My favorite part of this video is how Danny made Rick sit in the back of the McQueen 51. I felt like if Rick didn't get the car, Danny would have made an offer.
Corey has all the carisma of a toad.
Yeesh, not *that* much
17:53 I literally yelled “GADDAMN!” When he said the asking price
"I rarely do this... but not a penny more."
Sweet let’s go do some paperwork
Hay he atleast paid 100k i figured he was going to say 90k
@@twins2646 I thought 70k
I thought he was going to say "I'll give you 35k for it, you have to see it from my perspective, I take all the risk and have to wash it, frame it"
@@mesofius "it might sit around for a while..." :P
If that Chevy II is still for sale, I’ll buy it😂
40k with a crap rear end ? Way over priced.20k
Ric: “And everyone remembers what they were doing when they saw the OJ chase.”
Me: Bruh, duhh watching TV 🤦♂️
Chums joke about a glove being in the backseat was funny af😂😂🧑🏽🦯
That last Chevy was worth waaaaaay more than $37K 🤣
Well you have to account that these videos are from a pretty long time ago and 37k 10 years ago is nows 48.5k
Beautiful and very beautiful show. I wish you health, peace, success and progress in your wonderful work. My greetings.
That bronco definitely isn’t worth 1.3 just cause it was in a high speed chase
Low speed chase
But is the 2pac car worth that much because it got shot?
You gotta redeem yourself by cooking up a tomahawk next video lol 😂
With the current market, the GT350 guy could've probably put that car in auction today and easily get 300k for it. what a beauty.
Chum: Look at me. I'm Steve McQueen.
Rick: If you drive as fast as Steve McQueen you're never borrowing my car again.
I'll be 38 in May and I grew up on the Blues Brothers. I gotta have that 1974 Dodge Monaco over that Bullitt Mustang, but that's just me.
bullitt is a "68"
i feel like that Steve McQueen Chevy was an absolute steal
Has got to be worth wayyy more
He sold it for 80 something thousand at auction
the 67 was built by Ford using Shelby stuff Ford and Shelby were going apart at the time, I had a 66 bought brand new at Hayward Ford in California.
I know were i was, in my dad cuz i was born late in 98
10:35 thats sound like Danny jajaja
Imagine getting a heart from PAWN stars :')
not gonna work
Best rick can do is a thumbs up and Hes taking a huge risk here
@@mattvillan4591 your right :(
Would Never happen..
Those things are INCREDIBLY rare, and I really want it!
he knows what he is doing and is pleased!
The girl in the 3rd deal, she looks so small compared to Corey and Rick
She's probably 150 pounds, but Rick is 320 and Corey is 400 pounds
she is like a fun size candy bar lol
Yeah I met Hoss and I remember him being about 6’1” or 6’2”.
She is beautiful
@@supportyourtroopsathletes6460 the thirst is real when an average broad becomes “beautiful”.
Guy: be Careful with my Baby.
Mechanic guy: She is Tight 🤣🤣🤣🤣
22:34 you can see the cameraman's image reflecting on the front bumper
You know that dude cried that night curled up in a ball in the garage where that shelby used to sit. That chevy covair was mad as. I would love to cruise down to the shops in that.
They keep going on about Eleanor.... I'm sure she was a gt500
It was actually a stock mustang that was made to look like a GT500.
Yep exactly
@@tomking7080 my point being she was supposed to look like a 500, was called a 500, so stop referencing it when it has nothing to do with this car.
no one alive today has ever seen that movie, it came out a decade before anyone was born, so there's nothing surprising, despite that movie making American cars popular for a short while.
Thank you for your video it helped a lot
Rick likes to act as an expert on everything
Until he doesnt want something, every time Chumlee shows him sneakers he says "I can't sell something I know nothing about" not true, he just doesnt want something that isn't from the year 2000 on.
13:39 no kidding 😂 That might be the funniest thing corey ever said honestly
- well Rick i`ll give you the car for free
- I`ll take it if you give me 2000$ thats the best offer i can do
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son JESUS CHRIST FOR OUR SINS so whoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life Amen Amen Amen Amen .
Lmao
The $40,000 price tag on that 1966 Chevy II was ridiculous!
Greetings from all my heart to all the experts in all the specialties that you host. I wish them health, safety, success and progress in their work. With great thanks and respect.
He ask can I have someone come down take a look, then Rick says ill give you penny nothing more 😂
5:55 is it just me or is that door hanging?
Cool hestory . Ever day I watch Man thats great 👍
the lady that has the copyright on the GT350 " Elenore " is NOT a nice person for what she did to Chris on B is for build instead of taking his car she should have thanked him for keeping her husbands dream alive shame on her
That Mustang in Gone 1 was a Mach 1 not a gt 350 ! That Lady was HB Haleki 's wife she's in Control with all his Business
U got the beaver fever for McQueen lmao! 🤣
LOL!! the experts you call in always says a lower price than what owner wants no matter what the item is...do they get some % to say it is worth less?
Absolutely has to be the case. It'd actually be a clever trick for someone to say "actually, I'd prefer to hear what the expert says first" and then divert all attempts to eek out an answer...... It's different from the usual script, and if they turned down an item/sale JUST because a potential customer wouldn't divulge that info prior, that would be a stupid way to do business. But yeah, that HAS to be a tactic they use. They're in the pawn business. Quite often greedy, to be direct.

Actually no there has been many episodes that i saw that someone offered and it had higher value
Crazy to think in the US they had cars like that GT350 back in 1967 yet here in England we had the ford cortina 😅
