I would clean the exterior more thoroughly before disassembling. Kinda like surgery; you don’t really need to bring the crud in contact with the interior parts. Also, you can’t make it new, so leave some patina.

This was astounding level of craftsmanship and dedication. Loved watching it. By the way, not sure whether you have any knowledge or experience, or have come a cross another class of kerosene / paraffin heaters which worked on the same principle but relatively larger in had a massive heating end with coiled inlet that was almost like a flame thrower. It was used to heat the underground chamber of bathroom and water tanks in days gone by. Not sure the origin may have been European, or Russian but the amount of heat you got was incredible and used to be gravity-fed from a tank that was hoisted a couple of meters taller than the burner? Have searched everywhere for schematics / name / details but no joy! Hope you may have some info?

buen trabajo, aunque yo esos tornillos los hubiera quitado con soplete calentándolos, la diferencia de dilatacion entre metales los hubiera destravado, en vez de usar una Mola! que le pusiste para que la llama fuera mas oxigenada ?
Hola, lo intente pero estaban re oxidados y clavados al aluminio, a la llama no le agregue nada, al limpiar el ducto que estaba tapado, se hizo la mezcla correcta entre el kerosene y el aire y el resultado es la llama azul que no es peligrosa para la salud. Gracias por comentar, Saludos
