@@ThisIsLeeBird yeah, which is compatible ONLY with rode usb mics, of course.. the whole point of this is to have both video and audio? 4 camera inputs, 4 xlrs would make sense. For me it’s a dealbreaker
What I like about it is it has XLR inputs for audio. That has always been a bone of contention with me and Blackmagic ATEM switchers (at least the Mini and Mini Extreme models). The price point is good, comparable with the Mini Extreme Pro and less expensive than the Mini Extreme SDI ISO - however, it only has four video inputs. Granted, if it can play back short media files from within the device that frees up an input (which I typically use for a Hyperdeck or Hyperdeck Shuttle). No downstream or upstream keying capability that I can see, but this short demo obviously doesn't cover all the bases. I can see this being valuable for small podcast efforts or smaller live events, but for larger events like the ones we do (multi-camera, PPT slide deck, lower thirds, stings, etc.) I think I'll stick with the ATEM line.
I'm literally about to get a client onto the Yolobox Ultra for their podcasting, then this drops. I would have switched to this in a hot second if it did 4K ISO recordings, but I guess I will continue with the Yolobox Ultra.
YoloBox Ultra is my champion on the battlefield with 4K, NDI, Instant Replay, Scoreboard, Inviting Guests, Featuring comments, MultiStreaming, and actually many more!

Does it bond the network like if you are connected to WiFi and Internet cable or it is only getting one signal? Thanks in advance!
To answers your questions: 1. It will only stream to one platform at a time. To stream to multiple platforms you will need a different live streaming software like Vmix. 2. The ISO will record up to the number of video and audio inputs you connect to the RODECaster Video. 3. It cannot connect to the internet via sim card. You can connect the RODCaster to the internet via wifi, or direct ethernet cable. 4. I do not have the information at this time to answer this question. Hope this helps!

Great Video! Thank you so much. A lot to look forward to with this device! One thing I don’t think was asked during the Live Panel: is the Rodecaster Video ADAT supportive? I ask because I currently use a Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo interface with only two mic inputs, but I occasionally need four mics for a podcast. Do you think it would be possible to essentially daisy-chain the two mic inputs on the Rodecaster Video, or would you suggest another solution?
The RODE RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console does not support ADAT. The Universal Audio Twin X DUO cannot be daisy-chained with the RODEcaster Video Console. >Mark,
Would love to see a way to combine this with the Rodecaster via USBC and trigger all iso audio recordings that can be synced up or share the same drive.
Oh great, the game changer I was looking for. Just did not find if there is a way to make a split screen with A and B signals next to each other ? I see there is a possibility in the software but I wish there was a way to make supersource like on the BM Extreme. But BM charges a lot to just get this button on hardware. It should be a must have in all small switchers. Thanks for presenting this new product !
You are able to configure the Multi-source Layouts button to have split screen between camera A & B. According to the RODE website using the Multi-source Layouts button, you can configure multiple video sources into arrangements such as picture-in-picture, split screen and more.
This looks pretty awesome. I have basically mostly rode stuff, but is currently relying on an atem mini for switching/livestreaming and RCP2 for audio. The RCV might be able to simplify my desk setup.
8:55 You mentioned that you can have custom delays per channel, but one problem I have with the ATEM Mini Pro ISO is that the delay only goes to the live stream. It doesn't go to the HDMI out for previewing, which becomes a problem when the audio is auto sync locally in my room.
According to RODE's website: The audio output delay only applies to your live stream and recording - for the sake of monitoring your own voice live, the delay is not applied to your headphones or monitor speakers.
@@BandH That's a bummer not to have the option. If we want to send a feed to another room via HDMI out, our audio and picture can be vastly out of sync (up to 2000ms).
All good, great, but I wonder when they'll make a tutorial so they can learn how to position the lapel microphone properly. Who taught them not to be careful with their visuals? Cheers, guys!
Oh! Nice, Thanks for the video. This Switcher definitely took care of most of my Audio issues. Does it Stream to multiple Platforms like OseeGo stream, that stream to 3 platform simultaneously?
