I'd love to see a detailed build video of that. I watched the other recent videos, they look cool, but this is the most interesting. I know other bardadin build videos exist, but your explanations are just better than anyone else :)
@rasrandir SHart decided to path the wrong way and triggered the fight while my team was out of position... I knew I was in trouble as soon as it started.
Bard is easily one of the best multi class in the game. It gives Paladins more spell slots for Divine smite and +4 AC if you’re going for a martial defender. Or if you want to be an enchantment Rogue archer you can use the Ring of Mystic Scoundrel to have up to 4 attacks and 2 illusion / enchantment spells per round. This also bodes well as an amazing face for your party as you’ll be proficient in so many things.
So true. Swords Bard is such a fun class that i have to actively force myself to try other things lol. Aside from what you already mentioned, some really fun ones are 10 swords bard 2 fighter archer, and even something bizarre like an Intelligence oriented 6 swords bard 6 wizard going either necromancer or abjuration. That one only comes online at endgame, but i would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to make some kind of death knight build.
TB Monk (Monk 6, Thief 4, Fighter 2). Self explanatory. Broken. Might as well go 4 TB Monk until Act 2. Lightning Sorc (Tempest Cleric 2, Storm Sorc 9, 1 Wizard for scrolls, 8/8/16/16/12/14). Must multiclass Wizard as third/last for learned spells via scrolls to use Intellect over Charisma. Run of the mill "Wizard" that has one (two with Act 3 neck) nova round(s) per long rest. Use Gloves of Dexterity (Act 1 Githyanki Creche) all game for initiative. Lockadin, Sorcadin, Bardadin. Your choice. Still gonna be tanking, critting and smiting. Deus Vult. Your choice of Sorlock (10 Sorc/2 GOO Lock OR 8 Sorc/2 GOO Lock, 2 Fighter) OR Ranged Swords Bard (Swords Bard 6, Assassin Rogue 3, Fighter 2). One of these alone is going to trivialize encounters in BG3, and all have little gear overlap.
How are you able to initiate combat and still use your extra attack for the first action? Every time I start combat with a regular action I’m unable to use the extra attack tied to that action.
Awesome build! My only problem is that it seems too take too many too good items from casters and martial classes, like diadem and knife of the under mountain king
I'm guessing this would still work as a dex build? You'd just be restricted to using finesse weapons, but you'd only be losing +1 to attack as you'd have 18 dex at this point and being TWF, there isn't too much difference in weapon damage. You're using finesse weapons in the video and so I'm guessing going dex wouldn't be an issue? I was trying a battlemage abjuration/bard and planning on using the hat of fire acuity to then use swords dipped in fire to build spell DC to CC the battlefield but still be tanky with abjuration and cause damage through attacks of opportunity with weapon damage. It's fun but very action resource heavy. This just seems more straightforward, but I guess I could still replace Diadem of Arcane Synergy to go the CC route if I wanted. Do smites count as a condition to build arcane synergy? The hat of fire arcuity would also work well with Flawed Helldusk Gloves? Would the fire from the gloves stack with fire from dipped weapons?
@@ilyaterk110 If you built into dex you'd have 18 dex at this point and so you'd only be +1 behind. You'd miss out on savage attacker, I guess. Could trade the gloves he's using to use the dex gloves, but there would be a trade off somewhere. But the strength is only a +1 difference. Depends what he plans the final build to be. With the pre-buffing he did I wouldn't see the +1 making a massive difference? +1 damage really doesn't matter and the 5% difference I'm sure is overcome with the pre-buffing. Reason I'm wondering is I like playing with a monk and I use the elixers for the monk. Does savage attacker also work on the smites or just weapon damage?
@@Phincetheprince Sorry, where's the 1d8 damage? He's using the flawed helldusk gloves that give 1-4 fire damage. Where do the gloves give advantage? Unless you mean the gloves of Automaton? He uses them to pre-buff and then says he uses the helldusk gloves for combat. This would mean he only loses the 1-4 fire damage. Plenty of other ways to get advantage anyway. I don't know why people don't always have Whispering Promise as a ring as this gives bless on heal and you dont even need concentration for bless that way. This even works with healing potions. Where the build is based on activating smites I don't think 1-4 damage breaks the build at all
Great video! Is savage attacker that useful since you already reroll bad rolls with the knife? Also do you find the buff against obscured target useful? Never quite sure how to take advantage of that
How does it feel being the best build guider on youtube

TWF slashing flourish animation is good :o
Hey Sin, would it be possible to make a guide on the most optimal team comp for honour mode with minimal gear overlaps?

do you have your Honour mode playthrough recorded? as I would watch that for sure
I guess I'm going for a dex TWF bardadin now
1:00 she starts doing all the buffs from that Anime meme video
yo Sin, you planning to play Rogue Trader?

which stat should i go for when i reach mirror of loss in act 3 with this build ? shoud i go 10 bard / 2paladin when i reach lv 12 ?
All in CHA?
Why go strenght instead of dex? 🤔
Duel-wielding is better than sword+shield with dueling?
How do you get the game to "hide" your armor and show default clothing instead?
You can choose to show camp clothes clicking on the small checkbox just above the camp clothes' slot
The little button above your clothes. Looks like a campfire
