Now these boots have truly seen everything.
These boots were made for killing, and killing's what they'll do
Is that blood? No... Never mind.
I have a lot on my mind, and well... in it
These boots were made for walking (back and forth) and that's just what they'll do
Oops, my finger slipped
You resisted the laughter of the amulet because your madness was already far past that of the cursed monk.
The cursed monk is shocked when know what this madlad did
I think this is the only person who could figure out how to beat the final boss of the game by standing there menacingly
Someone else has already done this build in a video like months ago
Final boss was like: "Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're approaching me?"
And then he was like: 08:46
Sorry but the only way for that to happen is to buff others since this build requires movement to work
@@TheGreatDanishoh I haven’t seen it! Could you tell me the video/creator? I’d like to watch it!
@@TheGreatDanish tell us where, please
That was truly magnificent.
The greatest strength of a videogame is also its greatest weakness - while it can't allow you to do stuff that wasn't coded in, it also can't forbid you to do stuff that is coded in.
You basically torment the "DM" and he can't do anything about it.
Larian is chasing these things with patches lol. They finally added difficulty check to stealing bags from vendors that you stuffed gold and items into (originally it was dc2 so you could rob a vendor blind with a mere bag)
@@MrNb22 Originally you don't need to steal at all, you can stuff everything in the bag in the trading screen, switch to another character, try to open the bag with that character, then exit the trading and dialog and now bag opens while being technically still in the trader inventory, and you can just press Take All (or space button, which is preferable, since the bag closes, if the trader moves, so gotta be quick).
Only recently they patched this, but people found out, that now you can just drag items in the bag that is in YOUR inventory for the price of the last item. I don't update my game for a while because of all the bugs and breaking mods shenanigans, so I still have the version where first exploit works.
I don't even "steal" everything, only what I actually want, because I have no use for all that huge pile of items. And if I trade this pile, it persists in the trader inventory, which is also kinda annoying.
Thunderclap Jack: "Colonel, I'm trying to sneak through Moonrise Tower, but the extremely rapid clap of my giant ass is tearing apart my enemies at a molecular level"
🤣 exactly my thought process the moment i saw the tav's name
There is a mod that allows you to use WASD to move that would have saved him so much pain

@@thenewcabreraSame.
I've been testing this out, and you can do this without the amulet if you have performance by playing an instrument or whistling during combat. Like talking to the amulet, you can do this infinite times without using an action, and it resets the condition limit. If you want to do this without having to be a bard or using an upgrade on performance, you can talk to Alfira at the grove, offer to help with her song, and pass a check to learn instruments. I like it better than the amulet because you dont get the annoying comments and instead get a quick note or two at most.
That to say, it is such a SLOG doing this in reality and I am incredibly impressed you had the patience and didn't lose your mind. Thank you for your service!
How ironic, the ultimate Power of the Walker build is achieved by.. standing still.
Truly. Although I like to imagine that I'm actually walking in place so fast that it is completely imperceptible to the human eye. Maybe a Spectator could see it, idk.

I'd be impressed, honestly.
Expectation vs Reality:
DM: nah you cant do that.
It's when strategies like this appear that I love the fact that each turn is 6 seconds
Imagine entering a fight with someone and they just run back and forth really fast and every atom in your body just breaks apart
just hopping back and forth and every time they bounce towards you its like getting fus ro dah'd
Look up the Jumplomancer build one day. It’s from an older edition of D&D, but would (arguably) allow you to convert a hostile crowd into a fervent squad of devotees by jumping at them.
Now keep in mind, each person's turn isn't 6 seconds. Each ROUND OF COMBAT is 6 seconds. From your own turn to your own turn again is 6 seconds
@@rabidwolf252 that makes it so much funnier when aspect of the elk + action surge + fast hands means the turn never ends. imagine youre some poor assassin of bhaal, then thunderclap jack shows up and starts doing the griddy, causing time to slow down so much it feels like you cant move an inch in the moments it takes for him to unravel your dna. to him it feels like 6 seconds, to you it's a yawning abyss of inescapable time, both infinite and miniscule
Hes literally radiation poisoning speedrunning them.
Dude, you just earned me my Honour Mode achievement! Followed this video and thunderclapped everything to death. Had some minor mishaps like Minthara turning hostile in camp after recruiting her. Couldn't revive her after, so I speced Lae'zel to Elk-Barbarian. Then I spent almost a day murdering my way through Gortash's palace. The rest after that was a walk in the park.
that turn sped up to 6 actual seconds makes it look like he vibrated so hard his enemies unraveled at a molecular level
13:20
Evil flash moment
To me, it reminded me of someone just DDR "dancing" their enemies to death.
I can just imagine the companions standing to the side watching you pace back and forth while muttering to your amulet, all the while the enemies are frothing and convulsing on the ground for no visible reason
The bards are going have their work cut out for them trying to spin a tale about how a man killed one of the most powerful and feared creatures in all creation simply by standing in place menacingly while trying to talk to some jewelry
The funny thing is, in real life, this dude IS a bard. He just spent 21 minutes telling the tale, and it was awesome.
Volo's a VERY skilled Bard. . .
A tale of dread, a ballad grim
Of the man who slew a monster's whim
With naught but stance and murmured words
To jewels that ne'er replied, so absurd
He stood there grim, a look so cold
As the beast approached, its eyes behold
A human frail, yet unafraid
Whispering to baubles that causeless stayed
The wyrm it roared, unleashed its breath
Yet the man stood firm, embracing death
Unflinching as the flames did pour
Just muttering at gems, his eyes did bore
At last the monster, growl now hushed
Collapsed in awe, its spirit crushed
By one whose power came not from steel
But whispers strange to jewels' seal
And so they'll sing in every tavern
Of the man who slew that mighty cavern
Through menace cold and talk with trinkets
That no other life could even think it
@@TheRealMafoohe didnt sing the tale

Came here to say this lol. This game is phenomenal.
I thougth the same
I wanted to come up with some cool Anime attack reference, but you beat me to it XD
Well, I'm also 10 days late, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Was literally thinking this 😂
How this run started: "When he walks, the very ground shakes!"
How it ended: "He's just standing there. MENACINGLY!"
The "fight" against Myrkul reminded me of "Dormammu, I've come to bargain". Defeating him without him being able to do anything
Dormamu was able to infinitely attack back, but the problem was infinitely. So not really. More like being one of the evil flash characters and phasing through everyone.
When you sped it up I realize you’re not killing them by walking, but by tap dancing so hard it causes them to reverberate to death
Death by Irish dance. So evil. So.... exciting.

Great vid! I followed in your footsteps and completed Honor Mode for the first time using this as a guide. My save file showed it took about 22 hrs, but it was probably closer to 30 or 35 in the real world.
This run looked like a walk in the park. Really set a new pace here.
Imagine that in real DnD:
Player: "And now I go to the left... 1 foot.... and then...."
GM: "Let me guess, 1 FOOT TO THE RIGHT?"
Colonel, I'm trying to sneak around the lower city but the clap of my barefoot slappers are killing all the civilians.
Is. You're talking about the clap. Singular subject. The clap of my barefoot slappers is killing all the civilians.
@@ZaLewdWarudo The subject is the feet and that makes both the feet and the claps plural.
@@loglog7 no, the word "feet" is not even in the sentence. The plural word "slappers" is the object of a preposition. The singular word "clap" is the subject. The plural of "clap" would be "claps" - that's how you know it's not plural but in fact singular.
@@Matthew.Sweeney Colonel, I'm trying to sneak around the lower city but the claps of my barefoot slappers are killing all the civilians.

This is the best BG3 walkthrough I have seen, and I have seen a lot of attempts at a good walkthrough. Amazing footage, shoehorning in both the build and realistic timetables, this covers everything one would want to traverse this game start to finish.
Hehe "walk-through" 😂
My favorite cheese set up is sanctuary and moonlight beam. Moonlight beam doesn't break sanctuary and you can move it every turn hitting multiple targets for absurd damage
The first time "unholy assassin" is perfectly accurate. Because godlessly standing still to murder is peak assassin in my book.
IRL those fights must have been boring as all f**k to play, yet you stuck to it and made us laugh, for that reason alone take my like.
You are basically the Flash vibrating back and forth and killing enemies with the vibrations it creates, logic checks out
See what I love about this is the visual of how this plays out. In the span of 6 seconds you see a dude blur like reverse flash from the TV show meanwhile the enemies around him just get sonic boomed until they are turned into pancakes. These people are literally bludgeoned to death by sound waves in 6 second. It's horrifying and amazing at the same time. Then eventually he isn't even moving, he just stands there and sound waves crush you to death. There was an anime "Misfit of the demon academy" where the main character kills a guy with his heart beat. It's like that.
Imagening this in "real life": Enemies fall to the floor and their heads pop because a guy sidesteps rapidly and shouts at an amulet.
You could add the hammer that’s in Waukeens rest that does thunder damage when you jump. Add Monk to get step of wind dash, that makes jumping a free action and consumes very little movement.
Just jump in place, you can do it over 5 times and it deals thunder damage so it would work with your build
"He’s just standing there… MENACINGLY!" 18:40
I wonder how many people missed the reference....
He is King in BD3 :)
Perfect min-maxing there. Counter-intuitive, goofy, completely game-breaking, and kind of tedious.
Thank you for exploring this build so I don't have to.
These boots have seen everything. And killed them, too.
With the real time sped up clip, it makes sense. You are capable of moving so fast you make your targets resonate with you until they explode.
It’s honestly hilarious that you can make a build based entirely on causing dmg by moving back and forth, and not only does it work (albeit slowly) it makes the entire game a “walk in a park” pun absolutely intended lmfao. In all fairness larion outright put in the description of honor mode you’ll need to take advantage of the most broken skills, abilities and gear to win soooo I guess that means the “death walker” build is fully endorsed by the devs lol.
enemy pov;
starts combat sees tav side stepping. "Breathing intesevise" falls prone, 1 tear dropping down his cheek.
I believe Larian programmed it in in Patch 5 or 6 that you can't start the fight to dominate the brain invisible. You will always lose invisibility unfortunately...
When the DM really doesn't want you to do something.
@@CrabCrow first thing that came to my mind XD
@@CrabCrow invisibility lasts 60 seconds. I don't know how tall that brainstem is, but I highly doubt you could climb it that quickly
@@anna-flora999 Exactly what a DM would say too.
I remember my first playthrough at the windmill... Funniest shit I have seen and I definitely did not expect that !!!

I tried it in my first Honor Mode attempt with my friends and managed to actually knock it out!!
Thank you so much again for this
he went from being the flash to just standing there menacingly until they died
Nah... the intensity of his vibration just increased so that it appeared he was standing still.
This was hilarious to watch. In update 6 they changed the climb up to the netherbrain to take invisibility away.
Coldbrim hat would've also added an Encrusted With Frost rebuff that would eventually double thunder damage.
I think having the light spell cast on your weapon and then doing all of that with the Luminous armor and coruscation ring would've added more stack efficiency.
i need to try this before it's patched out
Imagine how terrifying it would be if you tried attacking someone, only for them to vibrate in place so fast that you get annihilated by the shockwaves
You’re like the flash where you just vibrate at the right frequency at super speed and all ur enemies die (due to speed force lightning of course)
Saitama "rapid consecutive side steps."
Okay, I have no idea why this video was hidden in the playlist but I love that it's out! Was so excited when I saw a comment of you thinking about a way to do this!
I thought this build was impressive, until I reached 15:00 of the video... then it became scary AF. Congrats, one of the most innovative runs!
Hear me out mate… what if you temporarily make the thumbnail a pair of boots?
mmm I could do that pretty easily. Maybe I can use an AI tool to give my boots a horrifying face that'll scare off all the non-believers
@@Fracture.Gaming I love the idea
@@nicopico2362 I did it, and it looks horrifying. Idk how long it takes the change to update, but you'll know it when you see it... that's for sure

@@Fracture.Gaming Just to feed back a little, funny as the face thing is, it's a little off putting and I wouldn't be likely to click it if I wasn't already on my way to watch this vid. Obviously that's just me though!
I'm not sure I would say that using Phalar Aluve's Shriek is "Literally Just Walking", but it is pretty cool!
I found that the hamarhraft Shockwave ability triggers with flying too, and flying is a free action assuming you have movement speed, stacks gloves of belligerent skies to apply reverberate
IT WAS ME BARRY! I created your save file becoming the absolute in Baldur's Gate 3 simply by vibrating so fast my reverberations tore my enemies to shred! (Laughs in Reverse Flash)
The sped up version of 1 round reminds me of the Smash meme videos where Fox is just dashing back and forth. It's crazy what you can get away with in this game even on honor mode.
The Idol of Sylvanus (act 1) can trigger the Boots of Stormy Clamour on enemies as well, since it applies the "Proficiency in Nature and Animal Handling" on everyone

As of Patch 6 or a hotfix, can't remember which, invisibility automatically drops off when climbing to the brain for the final fight. Can't be avoided.
