Good thinking with that STR stick. I’ll usually just use STR potion for Titanstring DMG. But now you can use Bloodlust potion instead for extra action.

Hello, thanks for the video, I just have a question, how are you guaranteed to get initiative since astarion and yurgir have the same init score of 8 ? Isn't there a D4 roll to decide who is going to act first ?
@sintee106 Noticed that you attacked the displacer beast and went stealth before attacking. Was attacking the displacer beast necessary to surprise the meregons? I fought Yurgir today and attacked him first from invisibility and no one got surprised
@@clarat.3740 took me a while to figure it out, but the reason I was unable to surprise the meregons was because I was using an invisibility spell, which ends before my attack lands. If I use an invisibility potion and attack a meregon or displacer beast, then everyone except Yurgir is surprised
For pure DPR on Astarion, do you think 9SBard / 3Thief is better than 10SB/2Fighter? Now that I have The Deadshot and Risky Ring, the Archery Fighting Style from Fighter doesn't seem very... important. Astarion also has Happy to further his hit chance. Action Surge is still great, but not sure that would help over sneak attack over the course of long fights in Honor Mode. The only thing that sucks is losing magical secrets for Command and Counterspell....
i'm wondering how you get all those rerolls on flowrish attacks ... it's a bard feature? (the rest of the damage is pretty clear) BTW, bard is awesome even in tactician, in honor mode has even more value over gloomstalker i think
It's from "Brace (Ranged)" at 02:58, a weapon Action of Titanstring that sacrifices 6m of your movement to reroll all ranged damage dices and use the higher result. The buff lasts for a turn and recharges on Short Rest.
If you complete all Act 1, included grym forge and githianky creche, all the bosses in act 2 and halsin quest ( so basically everything that gives you XP ) before entering the gountlet of shar you end up at that point from barely level 9 to half way to level 10 ( the variable is how you completed the bosses and how much experience you where able to sqeeze out of every single encounter. in my honor Mode PT i'm barely level 9 and i'm sure i missed some XP because of some weired situation, i also missed the Hag Boon ... i normally hit level 10 in the Moonrise Fight, this time i'll probably do it in Act 3 sadly :( ... well not that makes any difference at all )
On my current save, I completed all act 1 stuff. Going to moonrise via underdark, completed everything there. Doubled back to the creche, completed everything and killed every living things that gives exp. Defended last light inn. Killed everyone in the house of healing and all possible encounters. Just talked to Raphael at the entrance of mausoleum but I haven't gone in and I'm at level 8 with half of the exp bar filled. Going to finish some side stuff then enter mausoleum at lv 9.
At the end of act 2, I have over 200K. Pickpocket is the king. Don't forget to clear out every merchant each time you level up any of your companion and yourself. Also after a long/partial rest but I didn't use it unless absolutely necessary. Just the store resets after each level up was enough.

You can start having advantage as early as level 3. Either the gloves from Zentarims but that requires you to fight the gnoles. Easiest way is to give Shadowheart enhance ability skill and cast Cat's Grace on Astarion. You get +3 Sleight of hands with the gloves from grove fight and the ring near Karlach recruitment location. Kill the strange ox from stealth to get the shapeshifters ring. Now use Astarion to bite someone to get happy +1 buff. Shapeshift to get 1d4 from the ring. Cast guidance for another 1d4. I've pickpocketed 10k+ gold in one go from vendors without fail. The only way to fail early in the game is to try for very high number. Or roll 1 on both rolls. It happened to me around once every 100 rolls. Buy high value items that require high rolls and then break the gold in vendor's inventory into small chunks. Good luck. @@guzzy9596 reddit blessed me with the knowledge that you can cast sleep on vendors. it's not a guarantee that you'll succeed, but they will not aggro for failure. ideally, sleep on vendor + guidance on your rogue + bane on your target and you can keep on stealin'. i've tested it myself on honour mode and it works (Larian, if you see this, please do not patch this)
with dual crossbows you get to shoot one more time, twice if you drop assasin for thief, but lose titanstring longbow which does +4 dmg and that multiplies twice for flourish*thrice for each action*who the hell knows how many times for the bouncing arrows
There is a Shrine in the middle of Moonrise town outdoor area, you click the plagues in order to spell "OUR LADY OF LOSS" and a door opens. Inside you can pass an INT Saving throw to get +5 INT, a WIS Saving throw for +5 WIS, and a CHA Saving throw for +5 CHA. All buffs last until next long rest so can be used for the fights you find hardest in Act1 or 2.
If you look next to the player portrait to the left there is an icon of what (sub)class was taken at level 1, so its safe to say they took at least 1 bard level before anything else, hope this helps :)
I think that's from an item that Barcus Wroot sells at the Last Light Inn, but I've never been able to get him to spawn there. You have to rescue him from the windmill in the Blighted town in act one, then rescue him from the Grymforge with the other Deep gnomes and then convince him not to chase after his boss. It's an easy questline to miss.
...You equipped the Sentinel's Shield (which you're not proficient with) just for initiative and then immediately unequip it (which doesn't cost an action). Brilliant.

Titanstring bow is such an incredible weapon, especially in the hands of Astarion. Love the vida! Cant wait to see what you make next
