Is there any way you could do this with standard Mocha AE? Or an alternative way? Would really love to give this a go!
Can you upload explosive and blood splatter tutorials?
could you please create a tutorial on hair commercial light travels from root to tip? while the hair is growing and waving
Is this same for Rogue's effect ?
im trying to do this with the after effects plug in but cannot find the mesh tick box and i wonder if i need to pay for a license
The mesh option is only available on the Mocha Pro version, the Mocha for AE that is built unfortunately doesn't have that option!
Bro I am trying to do this same work...but I am not able to track properly. I am using mocha Pro version and... finally after applying the matte, solid (fractile noise) isn't inclined with the track. What might be the problem?...
facing the same issue
have you found a fix?
For some reason warp and unwarp is not working(
This effect reminds of rasing Dion from Netflix
Incredible Compositing! I know this tutorial is 2 years old but by god as a tutorial it is horrendous compared to videocopilot, its ok if your tutorial goes for 30-40 minutes chilll
We're sorry it wasn't as helpful as it could have been! But thanks for your feedback. If you have any questions or clarifications from the tutorial, feel free to reach out to us at support@actionvfx.com.
Film Riot did almost the same thing aswell
Get that man some antacids!
😂😂😂
i have one problem when i open mocha ae in aftereffect ani click on it i can't see mesh option or other like you please help
The mesh option is only available on the Mocha Pro version, the Mocha for AE that is built in with AE unfortunately doesn't have that option.
I need help, at 5:37. Once I copy the mocha to the Fxcomp, the tracking doesnt apply. The fractal noise mask wont move along with my subject. It just stayed in 1 position, something i did wrong?
Hey! One possibility is that you might have skipped a step. After copying the mocha track to the "FXcomp" pre-comp, make sure to go into the mocha settings. Check 'render' and change the module from "unwarp" to "stabilize: warp". A lot can go wrong with this process, but missing this step could be the issue. If you're still having issues, we may need more details about your specific project, so feel free to reach out to us at support@actionvfx.com. Hope this helps!
Could you make a wolf assets

Please do give the raw footage of the person in the tutorials so we can practise using the vfx shots i bought off action vfx :)

this is an easy short, u can do it yourself, u can benefit from it aswell
@@jeanpierre4474 Yes, Practice, practice, I've been at this for 12 years as a hobby and learned most of my skills from Andrew Kramer, (and others). I have many of the ActionVFX "Free" assets that I use when needed for my projects. ua-cam.com/users/CinemaSectors
I actually thought it was Andrew's tutorial..
Thank you for watching! In our tutorial we learned how to use BorisFX's MochaPro and Sapphire plug-ins to achieve the FX! :)
I thought the same thing...
@@ActionVFXofficial oh I haven't watched it yet. I'd probably watch it if and when I buy MochaPro and Sapphire plugins.
@@Jason-vz6hm Sapphire plugins are the BOMB !!!! They are my go to for lighting and transition effects. I use them frequently. You can see them in use in my videos. ua-cam.com/users/CinemaSectors
@@richyrich118 Andrew tries not to use 3rd party plug-ins other then those developed by VCP. . He focuses on users learning After Effects before adding additional eye candy.
In the beginning of the fractal noise section when I go to create a mask in my fx comp it does nothing. Any idea anyone? I am using the trial mocha pro I've done everything right before this point
Hello! Try turning on the "View Matte" checkbox, that way you will be able to see the alpha of your shape mask. If View Matte doesn't show anything, that means your shape is not being read by the FX.
Let us know if you have further questions!
@@ActionVFXofficial so that doesnt help sorry, how can i fix it? thank you for wirtting back and helping
@@ActionVFXofficial hey sorry again,. in the fx comp i cant create the mask. because it isnt copying mocha ae over into the new comp on the guide layer. ay suggestions please?
@@thelord8326 Hello! Do you mean you can't copy paste your Mocha effect to the guide layer? Or were you able to copy paste but the tracking data inside the mocha was not transferred to the copy?
i don't have the mesh option show up under perspective
Mocha AE is bundled inside After Effects, while Mocha Pro is a paid option that adds the mesh tracking option, object removal, stabilization, and the ability to run in other hosts including Premiere. Look for Mocha Pro.
@@BorisFXco thank you. :) I have pro 6. Something so I guess I just have to update it?
Please give me source sir it helps practice

Where are you from? I don't mean it in any bad way, but you sound just like a non-exaggerated version of Jarl Varg (Jon Øigarden from Norsemen). I haven't heard anyone have that accent beyond Varg, so I thought it was made up for the show. It sounds pretty cool and unique!
I hear the skarre-R but I can't really place the rest, something a bit more eastern?
Indonesia!
@@ActionVFXofficial oh wow, that's a complete 180. Thanks for the, have a nice day!
I don't know why but I don't jave mesh option in my mocha which comes with after effects
The mesh option is only available on the Mocha Pro version, the Mocha for AE that is built in unfortunately doesn't have that option.
@@ActionVFXofficial okay thanks isn't there a way that we can make this effect without using the mesh option?
@@skreamz3372 There are lots of way to go about producing effects like this and others different ways. :)

Tutorial To Do Subsurface Energy Glow Effects
YES YES YES!!!
requirements to do so
NO NO NO!
my boris fx mocha latte is so different than yours, i don't have all those bells and whistles and cream so i can't follow your steps :(
Hello! In this tutorial we are using the Mocha Pro version, the Mocha for AE that is built in unfortunately doesn't have some features that Mocha Pro has.
@@ActionVFXofficial would you consider doing a simple tutorial of the boris fx mocha bundled in AE? please post a link here if you do. i did the simple steps and made sure the files are all the same size and all, but the moment i applied the effects the layer i applied the effects to went wonky out of place and won't follow those keyframes. thanks.
@@apollogt5506 Mocha AE do not have the Power Mesh feature that Mocha Pro has. However, Mocha AE is still capable to do a simple 2D planar tracking the same way as Mocha Pro. We have done a tutorial for simple Mocha planar tracking here: ua-cam.com/video/DQwPoMdhcPM/v-deo.html

Lockdown cosplay
Give me footage sir
You can get the backplate used in this tutorial from FilmPAC :) filmpac.com/

Awesome but here used every plugin expensive... please make without plugin ..so like me and many people can afford it
You could just use fractal noise, curves and glows to create the sub-surface glowing like he does in the tutorial. Then use the Lightning effect in AE on a new solid in a new comp and create a freeze frame of it once you are happy with how it looks using the lightning settings. Duplicate this layer in the comp until you're happy with the density and use mesh warp / pinning to move the layers around to get the right effect. Then add this comp to the comp with the face in it and then follow the rest of the tutorial from 8:24 ! (you might have to fiddle around with the blending modes and alpha channels to get the lightning looking right). Hope this helps
Slow down. I was able to follow till near the end of the video. You started flying through it that I missed like a good bit of it.
Sorry about that! You can change the speed of the video in the settings if you need to. :)
This is dope I love it...
We think so, too! Glad you like it. :)
Hey guys I provide free assets for VFX pls try them out
