Should have put the boom up for more lift and more down force on wheel lift, also turn wheels on van to the right so as you're pulling its coming out of the ditch instead of going in more. 40 year vet here...
Definitely should have turned front wheels and wouldn’t hurt to put a snatch block on it that’s why I love my 2465 bed I got my stuff legs for those slippery recoveries
Jeff definitely needs a pair of scotch blocks or hydraulic spades! I wouldn’t recommend ice claws, a wheel lift spade, or snake bites as they all put upwards pressure on the wheel lift, which is isn’t designed for.

No snatch blocks not grabbing from the high side and also didn't turn the front wheels to the right in order to swing the front end out as it was pulled back these guys definitely need more training

Yankin it sideways right into the bank. Boom up is going to put more downward pressure instead of a straight back pressure while also lifting it up the bank as opposed to pulling it thru the bank. 🤟🤟

first i would cut the front wheel to the right that way the whole truck comes out i winched out a bunch
I woulda just pulled it straight from the back or from the front.

That idk. That is out of my realm.
How much does that cost
Each call is a different price pending on what needs to be done.
They really should go to tow school before they cause more damage or get someone hurt…

Idiots light-duty truck for a med duty recovery. and using no snatch block.
That's more than enough truck to pull that lil single axle box truck out. That's an easy pull. No need for a snatch block, well within safe working limits & capacity. He could definitely use an ice spade though for bite into the ice. Would've also helped to raise the boom to live load the cable & transfer drag resistance from the box truck wheels to load to the wrecker bite. I would've stopped after the rear was up on pavement & rebooked to the front so it didn't drag the cab/paint & glass thru the brush to scratch or poss break a mirror.
