This was a bad idea

- There was supposed to be a break in the weather for today, but instead we surprised with a major snowstorm that covered the Cascade Mountains. I took my pickup and car trailer over to Roseburg to help Austin get some stuff moved out of his dad's house and we ended up on ice for the majority of the trip.
But now for the important question... @TacoBell or Taco Time??

Taco time! Austin knows what’s up 🌮
agree!
Agreed
I’ve never heard of Taco Time. And I vote for them over Taco Bell.
Taco Time!
Taco Time is WAY better than Taco Smell! Austin gets it!
I’m truly sorry but, this is like watching a live version of beavis and butt-head!
I was going to say "fric and frac go moving" but similar meaning. It was fun to watch.
Austin is right about Taco Time, your right about the passes. Went over the Santiam Sunday, only 20 miles of snow.
And not only are the chains for ice, they are required in Oregon on passes in the winter when towing.
Okay I got to stop I'm a little over 7 minutes in and I'm literally rolling on the ground laughing this is hilarious you guys rock God bless for the upload!
Gosh I hate driving on snow, I really, really hate driving on ice. You make it look easy. We have a truck and two trailers. We used to get asked to help folks move- often. Everyone knows we move furniture in our line of work, they could trust us not to steal or break anything. We never charged a dime. We helped move folks, one family 3 times, another family twice. We have moved twice. No one helped us, worse they said they were coming but never showed. We were aggravated. We decided after that our services were no longer available. Thank you for helping, I'm sure it was appreciated. Enjoy tagging along on your adventures. Stay safe and GOD bless
Taco Time no contest….miss them so much here in Arizona
It's now Saturday. I live in the I5 corridor at 460ft above sea level and it's snowing and sticking in the surrounding foot hills around my house. What a weird April we're having.
I had a short coast vacation planned for today from Bend. I canned it so you wouldn’t have to rescue me and my trailer on santiam.
Your channel is awesome
We were supposed to go to the coast this weekend as well, and also cancelled the trip
Austin cracks me up with his nonchalant-ness. Thankfully he has you Casey!
The sign of a true friend makes for great video.
Austin is hilarious. You need him in your adventures.😃
That's pretty similar to my drive over Gov Camp on Monday.
Casey, thank you for helping Austin. Enjoyed this post.
Nothing like a friend helping a friend
I was thinking the same thing, Casey's a good friend to have!
I'm glad you guys had such a great time. "That's what she said"
I literally watch at the minimum one of your videos every day. Ever since I joined the channel I've been catching up on the videos and I truly enjoy it all! 😁
Yep. A great way to calm down after a horrible day.
Gotta love driving in the mountains in winter. You just never know what the roads will be like. Stay safe.
Another wonderful Casey adventure! Never a dull moment.
A friend in need is a friend indeed!
I liked the Heartland truck sailing by you while it was so slick you can hardly walk.
These two remind me of comic duo Laurel and Hardy.... this is another fine mess you've gotten me into Stanley!
I never thought of that until I read your comment, they really are a living Laurel and Hardy. 😂🤣😅😆
I live in Utah. Your videos are kind of a weather forecast, We usually get pieces of the same storm. 👌
I hope this crazy weather is over with as I travel from SW WA to CO next week. Taco Bell lost my vote when they discontinued the Mexican pizza!
Gotta love spring time in the NW! Don’t like the weather? Wait 30 mins!
Austin's Dad's house has a sweet garage.
Taco time taquitos hit different. Haven’t had taco time since moving to Phoenix from Washington…
I was surprised that you didn’t throw a drag chain on the trailer , usually helps in conditions like that. Thanks for the ride along .
The jump from icy mountain pass to moving a transmission gave me whiplash. Great ball busting humor.
Watching this was my Saturday afternoon comedy show. You guys are so funny together. You might want to consider a stand up comedy routine. Glad everything went well considering the challenges the weather represented.
I agree with your buddy. Taco Time is better and 138 has less of a pucker factor. But Del Taco is better than both. Lol
I'm gonna be that guy sorry Casey, they are called tire chains, and they are designed for all winter driving, snow when your tire packs it and ice, and they even work great in mudd, love your vids and keep up the great work.
Tire chains, packed snow which glazes over basically ice, ice, mud, even work pretty good wrapped around skidders tires for getting around on downed wood.
Had an old man who came to church that when he drove he always took his half out of the middle except when there was oncoming traffic. Interesting riding with him.
Hands down: Taco Time! Great vid btw.! You two are entertaining ! 😁👍❤️
We’ve picked up the engine from an 830 case tractor with the exact same type of puller. Lol. A little sketchy but survived.
The Joys of the PNW/High 🌵 . Never know what you are going to get. Good stuff. Taco Time rocks! There are never enough of them.
The twenty-pound bag of ground beef I saw them put on the grill in Taco Bell, was white, not red like you see in the store. I haven't eaten there since. Never heard of Taco Time but I'm going to vote for that. That transmition would work with Matts future tow tank. Thanks for sharing . Always enjoy you and your friends.
No rest for the wicked! But you did one heck of a good job!! As usual. Another entertaining video. Thanks Casey!
Oh my goodness what a ride! Held onto the edge of my seat a few times! ❤️🇦🇺🇺🇸
I remember the last time I drove in snow, it was at night, snowing pretty good, I was following a truck, but he was doing a little less than speed limit, so I signaled to pull around, and just as I pull out into oncoming lane I saw how dark it was and couldn't see, so I pulled back behind truck and happily followed the bright trailer lights in front of me =)
We were heading home the morning after a good snowstorm and there were a number of vehicles in the ditch one way or another. The best was a big flat-bed rig who had obviously not been able to see . . and there he was at 45 degrees to the highway, still upright and with 4 cars right behind him. 🙂
here in N orway they dont close the mountain passes before you cant see the road in front of you,
we have been driving in so bad conditions that the only thing we could see was our own hood
OK, I'm a fan now but u gotta keep that guy with you at all times. I laughed so hard when you said his dad finally kicked him out.
Been going to taco time forever and having both as an option, taco time is far more superior. It’s is a northwest specific restaurant. They source ALL their products locally from the northwest. Everything is freshly made the morning. The crisp taco shells are made fresh as in they deep fry the tortilla into the shape of the taco, they hand roll every crisp burrito, shred the cheese, cut the tomatoes, shred the lettuce, all in the morning of every day. I only know this because my wife worked there in high school and this has been a debate for awhile. But I will say, Taco Bell definitely has some intriguing menu items that I do end going for lol. The meat I find is more greasy than taco time but still somewhat tasteful. They have things taco time doesn’t have. If I’m looking for a refreshing meal, I generally will choose taco time. Tostada salad, add extra lettuce, extra beans, extra tomato, extra side of ranch, bust bang for your buck.
The "Brotherly" bickering is hilarious.
Bless you for helping with that.
Glad I ran across your channel
That was a slippery trip! The weather has been crazy all year! We have had wind almost every day for 2 months!
You are a good friend, Casey. Now I see why his dad kicked him out with all of his stuff.
@@straybullitt My reply was a joke. Life gets rough sometimes.
“I know I’m going to get comments you said you don’t use chains…” 🤣🤣🤣 That was the absolute best line from this video. I died laughing.
I agree with Austin. Taco Time is better than Taco Bell. But seriously, how long were you delayed on the roadway crossing over the mountain?
45 minutes
Good show. But your friend NEVER had his seat belt on !!!! That's an absolute NO NO !!! Greetings from Australia
Glad to see you guys get along so well. :)
Healer cat
Gotta love having friends 😜
When I lived in Lake Arrowhead, and plowed snow, I thought other drivers were stupid. Then I moved to eastern Wyoming and the guys who plowed snow, thought I was stupid. Just gotta get used to where you're at. Cause where you're at, there you are!
Interesting what different parts of the world put on roads. Had to look up "cinders." Makes sense with the lava flows near you.
Hate them, they can really put marks on your paint job or your glass if someone pass you and spray everything at you.
@@oceanlover1663 But beats the alternative of watching your car rust out from underneath you from the salt. I have lived in both, I can replace a windshield now and then but when every bolt underneath is rusted up and the frame is rotting out there is not much left.
I live near the Lake-of-Egypt power plant in Southern Illinois. The county has all the cinders they want to put on the roads.
I fled to Florida 32yrs ago. I don't miss snow one little bit.
Taco Time!
Just bummed we don't have one in bend anymore.
Good one Casey 👍, l was wondering why you didn't set the Allison trans in the back of the Ford truck? And then drive it up on to your trailer?
Would it not fit? Or did you just not think of it?
Anyway it didn't matter, both are home now!
Like your Willie's plan. Will be fun to watch.
👍👌✌🏻🙋♂️🌧🇨🇦😎🥚
HAPPY EASTER 🐣💓💛☺
I have had more than my fair share of TacoBell but I can assure you that it is better than Taco John's which we had once and never again. No idea about Taco Time, but it could be the winner, having had those other two. But what a great adventure in the snow and explaining what chains are actually for. I always learn something on your videos.
Taco John's tacos are mediocre, but their breakfast burritos are actually really good
Whatever happened to Taco Tia?
Most Taco John's franchisees use "pre-cooked" meat that tastes like crap.
I would love to know what the goo is that Taco John's puts in their tacos? It's like a combination of meat and beans that have been through a blender.
Del Taco
Wow, hard to believe this all in one day.
Crazy icy roads with sunshine then Blizzard conditions now 5:26 into this a hailstorm.
Crazy weather in Washington. Can't wait to go!
They are in Oregon, but living in Seattle, yes, Washington weather is crazy.
If you live in the mid-Atlantic region the snow is slushy lots of times and chains are a must at times Chains are effective in mud also, so I wouldn't call snow or ice chains.. just chains. Watch some of Matt's Off Videos where they chain up for recoveries in the mud
Well that was interesting, as they say if you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes/drive a few miles and it will change! Could the big transmission have been put into the back of the white truck and then the white truck loaded on to the trailer thus allowing the white truck to have been driven all the way forward? I am glad that you two made the trip safely and I hope that everybody else did too. Have a great day Casey and of course thumbs UP! 👍
I was wondering that same thing
Maybe not enough strong points to stabilize the transmission to ......?
We filled the bed of the truck too
@@CaseyLaDelle How much tongue weight did you really lose with an 870lb trany sitting on the nose as compared with moving the truck another 3ft ahead.?
@@iffykidmn8170 quite a bit, and then add in the amount of after axle weight on the trailer was greatly increased.
@ 8:14, I was thinking, just jackknife the trailer and back it under the transmission😎
I like truck #444. That would be handy around the farm, if you remove the mouse nests and put some tools in the box.
Born and raised in Michigan. Looks like home. But I live in phx for this same reason.
No seat belt for Austin?
Wow you have a really interesting channel! Love your explanations of everything and the varied content.
GEOENGENEERING weather modification at its best
You are wrong @Casey LaDelle those are only snow chains, they need to have spikes in them to call them ice chains 😂😉
Casey this video was hilarious I was laughing so hard I was crying. The commentary was comedy gold between you two.
You seemed to have the well let's see what happens type of attitude which was interesting but I never had a doubt because of the knowledge that you have. I hope you do more videos like this
Austin: "... ratchet strap it towards the trailer." Casey: "Hold my beer." *KICK*
Love your videos and looking forward to viewing more. TACO TIME is so much better than Taco Bell. I wish we had more of Taco Times in our area.
The 2 of you would make a good working duo.
Bro it’s mid April and we are actually growing the ice pack up here in north Wisconsin. Snow in the forecast with lows in single digits still
Like a married couple
Yep been on that pass to many time in that weather. All it takes is one idiot to mess it up. Welcome to Oregon folks.
It's like the Saturday morning cartoons all over 😁😅🤣 Taco Time - you get more meat then Taco Bell
Then on to Hwy 58. I used to love driving those roads just going on adventures. Now it is for family so no more play time on the way.
Thanks buddy
Taco Bell very interesting video but scary it is snowing by you all and probably heading east towards my state and that means snow. Have a Blessed Easter. Stay safe both of you and your families.
"F" both of those places.
Del Taco rules!
Frick and Frack do things...always entertaining.
I remember when you were towing two chevys with the old red Ford at the same time. I also removed you towing a bunch of Dodges with that old red Ford
Casey, I think you may need a vacation, preferably in a warm climate. You seem to be in a bad mood. Don't worry, spring has sprung in most of the country, and soon to be spring in your area.
Yeah I realize trash talk is common amongst friends but Casey does seem to be frustrated about something...I hope all is well! thumbs up like posted!
No Taco Ding Ding! Taco Tic Tock wins every time.
I live in Colorado Springs at 6,157 ft.
Those are "snow" chains down South as that's the only kind of snow we get, snowcone snow with a thin layer of either water/black ice beneath.
I thought winter was over
it is all in the seasoning, dog, cat all good
Ha, stroll in the park for you boys!
Just another day at our sketchy office!
the weather last week was nucking futs! Made for a great video ;-)
Yeah let’s just go with neither one. 😂 Yes ice is what chains are for. Good job.
I like that black Dodge
Rory wore your new shirt in his recent video. I laughed
Taco Time every time. You can't even get them in Bend anymore because the only one closed, so I get Taco Time whenever I can. Love their Crisp Burittos.
Where are we having the BBQ. Lol that's better than both taco places
Choosing between taco time and taco bell is like choosing between eating poop or eating poop. In the end, you're still eating poop.
Taco Time FTW… from a guy that misses His soft tacos… no taco time here…
Taco Time Northwest. Even better than regular taco time. They use fresh ingredients!
Good Trip
