My take on the great indifference encountered in Entrati's lab is that his lab is so adjacent to the Void that pockets of semi reality (like Duviri) drifting through the void will sometimes clash with ours or other pockets. So the "Great Indiference" could be the remnants of some long lost civilization that was swallowed by the void.
Regarding the 1999, I have two theories. One, that it's not the Operator who knew how to use the computer, it's Excalibur.
Theory 2: Tenno power to "tame" Warframes isn't just about therapizing them. It's because we take on the memories and "soul" to become them. That's why the Man in the Wall thinks it's good that we remember killing Umbra's son, *because that's how the deal works.*
Theory 2 electric Boogaloo: as before Operator Transference works because we "make a deal" with the warframes to know their story and continue their mission. Warframe 1999 and subsequent quests may have us do micromissions as the humans who became all of our Warframes, holding up our end of the deal. The reason we could do it before now is because Wally "lent us" that power, but now we have to do the work.
Extra theory 2: all the Warframes hated the Orokin throughout all history. Maybe we slaughtered the Orokin *for* the Warframes, to finish the missions of the people they were.

    • @TheDsIEGE

I like all of this but mostly the idea of the warframe being able to access the computer, that is an angle I did not consider...

Your Excalibur theory doesn't work cause these kinds of quests can be completed using any warframe.

    • @quantumblauthor7300
      @quantumblauthor7300 Рік тому +5

What if the Great Indifference is all sand and stone because it's the dust of every reality that's ever been collapsed out of existence from Wally's 'deals?'

    • @srbingham
      @srbingham Рік тому +9

@@FerunaLutelou except for the Sacrifice which required Umbra and Skiajat, and The New War which required Paracesis. I could see a series of Warframe centered quests that require a specific warframe to trigger.
All that said I think it's most likely the Operator that did it. I think the "Vessels" (the giants) are like Cerebro for Transference, allowing the Operator (or other reflections like Entrati) the ability to use Transference across time, space, and reality. In this case into possibly the "first" Excalibur.
Now, the darker side to this is: When they logged into the computer, and the Vessel twitched and "woke up." Was it because the Tenno was Transfering *in* to the Vessel? Or was it because whatever conciousness resides inside the Vessel *logged out* of *us*? Is there another level of "remote" behind the Tenno?
NecraLoid had said that the Sleeper (human Loid) must awaken before the Vessels do, if the Vessels exist to transfer *into,* then what would awakening even do to them? But if they are where the controlling conciousness for the Tenno/Operator/Drifter resides... who is that conciousness?

    • @UmbraFulgur
      @UmbraFulgur Рік тому +1

From 1999 to rise of the Orokin Empire are at least 1000 years, remember we have to learn to travel to the stars first, after that few nuclear wars who scorched entire Solar System (present Origin System), rising of the Orokin, their evolution, Tau System, the Void, the Void experiments, Helminth strain, creation of the Sentients, Old War, Zariman Ten-Zero and apparition of the Tenno, victory against Sentients, Tenno treason and the fall of the Orokin, Tenno going to sleep for another thousand to in-game present time.
So, none of your theories doesn't work. In 1999 we don't have yet the Orokin, nor their technology, no Void virus, so no infestation, and most of all no Tenno and no warframes.
What we do have is The Technocyte virus and superhumans thanks to Dr. Albrecht Entrati arrival in that distant past.

Eh. Possible but not entirely likely. How would Albrecht know the Tenno then? They are needed for the Kalymos sequence to wake the sleeper and pilot the vessel, but Albrecht must have sealed himself away much before then Tenno even awakened.
How could I know this? Wally doesn’t make his debut until Chains Of Harrow when Rell finally passes away and can’t hold Wally back anymore.
So unless Albrecht knew the Zariman children personally (sus) or he somehow was able to see what Wally has been doing across spacetime, it’s not likely.

You fight Nihil in the weave of cephalo s where he escaped the Tenno by using the Jade light (or some version of it) on himself. So Nihils form is just a large version of himself since you effectively fight him in "Cyberspace". Also right before the 1999 reveal, when you first activate the large Orokin bodies, the sleeper says that the process was incomplete, and they were missing something (which I believe is the void the Tenno have).

Hearing you talk about the one who came back actually being wally for who knows how long, makes so much sense to me when I think about the giant hand that was missing a finger, reaching into Duviri.
The fact that we know that a scholar who was most likely Albrecht passed through Duviri, knowing that Wally was actively trying to break in and get a hold of the islands makes me think that that HAD to be the real Albrecht. Otherwise, if he'd been the doppleganger, why would he bother reaching in trying to gain a hold of Duviri, if he already made it inside?
Perhaps real Albrecht fled into other timelines or Duviri after he realized Wally was most likely the one in control of the original "him", perhaps conceptual embodiment saved the "real" Albrecht allowing him to flee elsewhere and work out how to stop The Man in the Wall.

I'm thinking that 1999 might be the story of the creation of the 3 starter frames, even though we only saw/heard two in the Tennocon demo. Excalibur and Mag. Though I also recognize that there is definitely void shenangians going on too, and it may actually be the events that followed Albecht's failed initial void experiment. (Via eternalism, he also simultaneously succeeded in the experiment, and that's the universe the Tenno occupy.) Whatever came out of the void that day?
When I heard they added knocking in the Necralisk I reviewed the logs, and I think that both Albrecht and Kalymos have taken Kuva, and done so multiple times over the course of several lifetimes. Only he decided to stop as time approached the end of the Orokin empire, and decided on a different method to get to where they need to be in time. I suspect standing with the Tenno against whatever may be coming.

8:00 Well at least in the case of Ordis we know his body is dead, he was dying and wanted to sacrifice what was left of his life for one last act of defense by trying to kill Orokin, just to learn bastards keep coming back
And the Warframe 1999 showcase kind of feeds into my old headcanon I had for my old quest idea... which feels both terrifying and exciting at the same time... so shortly the idea is that before the Zariman incident and Old War, there was a group of warriors using seemingly magical powers granted by not so abundant back then Void energy, they later became the inspirations for various Warframe types and are also responsible for why Levirian entries on Warframes seem to be more like about characters rather than about a generic nth copy of specific Warframe... again feels weird considering I never made that specific idea public(tho sharing it more and more now), also wasn't expecting to get thrown right back into Dark Sector times

And suddenly Albrecht looks entirely different from his portraits, statues and desciptions, and has technology from the 90s that feel out of place. The Man In The Wall, wanted us to come to Deimos. In my head canon, the void used to be a plane of pure chaos. No man in the wall. No intention. Pure indifference.
When Albrecht Entrati's experiment failed and he fell into the void, he tainted it, imprinting on it. Hence the faces in walls, the sky, etc.
This incident created the man-in-the-wall entity and it (or parts of it) escaped the void.
The Tenno have a similar origin story in that they were exposed to the void during a failed void jump. The void appeared to them as a doppelganger.
I imagine the overall effect on the void of that encounter was smaller (Duviri) since the void had at this point already been universally altered by Albrecht.
Perhaps only one of them can exist in the real world at the same time. So when Albrecht goes into the pod in the beginning of the trailer (perhaps to visit Duviri) he is in effect leaving room for the man in the wall.
In the Warframe 1999 trailer Aoi says "Nearly done with this bitch of a year. I wish we could just start over. Find that Dr. Entrati bastard on day one." suggesting he is either the cause of (or perhaps a useful ally in the fight against) the technocyte outbreaks. Perhaps future Entrati set it up so the man-in-the-wall would manifest at that time.

The term Loid uses to describe the void-scape that appeared in the lab "This great indifference" sounded familiar to me, I think it something Palladino describes the void as if I remember, also the 3 void words spoken when that void-scape appeared reminds me of Rell's 'Rap-Tap-Tap' line as it also goes from the right audio channel to the left channel to right behind you, altho the first 2 words you hear are the same leading me to believe it could be like some void reflection where the 'Rap' is after the 'Tap-Tap', also the loid we know, the construct has never been called a cephalon, if my memory serves Otak was a cephalon that was stored in Loid's body to save him from the infestation, the other Entrati family members (Mother most of all) refer to Loid as 'the Necraloid' I don't think its ever been explicitly said he was a cephalon which implied he was either more or something else which with the real Loid being alive would imply that to be true as i believe the process of being turned into a cephalon results in the death of the original body. I also think that Warframe 1999 will tie in Dark Sector more to Warframe, it certainly seems to imply that, its possibly that Arthur is a code name of sorts with his suit looking like Excalibur (makes sense thematically) and could be Dark Sectors protagonist Hayden Tenno, or at least some sort of multiversal/erternalism version of him and his universe that is being accessed via void travel

  • @Scroll_Keeper
    @Scroll_Keeper Рік тому +1

I have heard another theory that I find super interesting: that in the introduction where Albrecht enters that pod, that's really him (which is why his farewell to Loid looks so genuine and heartfelt) and he entered that pod to trap Wally in there with him. Like if Rell's transference loop trap was made by the greatest void scientist to exist. And 1999 is *his* dream and memory instead of being a tangible reality, like how Duviri was manifested from the Drifter's understanding of the storybook.
It's especially interesting that if this is true, Albrecht's personal demons could be continuing to be manifested as the Man in the Wall because he's still in a second dream of his own and it's his duality that is bringing ruin to the origin system and it's up to us to set both sides of this poor man to rest. Whatever the case I am also the most excited I've ever been in 10 years of playing and instead of leaving me with no answers this TennoCon has sparked so many fascinating questions in my lorehead brain and I keep finding more everywhere I look! Like all of those years are finally coming to a head sooner than I ever imagined.

In Ordis's story he manages to kill the bodies of some Orokin but they don't die.
If you can kill an Orokin and they don't die where do they go? In Ordis's story they still inhabited the destroyed bodies(for a while at least), but we know that they do eventually need new bodies and it's implied that they have to steal them from real people and can't factory make them -- otherwise there's no point in them kidnaping people to steal their body then changing how it looks when they could just make a better longer lasting one.
In the glassmaker quest we don't kill Nihil we lock him in the thingy.
This all comes to my main point that we don't know how to actually kill an Orokin, we don't know how kuva actually works or what it even is, and we don't know what happens if they stop taking kuva. When he says he won't take any more kuva the implication is that he will die with his body, but as we've seen it's not so easy to kill an Orokin.
Mother is adamant that the real Albrecht is still alive and I'm inclined to think she's right.

So I know the video isn’t even out yet buuuuuuuuuut since I won’t be able to watch the video right away and have had these theories since Tennocon happened, I thought I’d share it regardless. Plus it’ll be interesting to see if my theories were actually close to the ons presented in the video or if I’m just a crazy guy that just so happens to like Warframe’s Lore.
    Anyway, I present you with:
First Theory: Remember when Entrati was unsure if he or Wally came back? This plays off of it. When Entrati entered the Void and saw his twin aka Wally, he was the one who stayed behind and Wally was the one who escaped.
Being trapped in the Void for Wally knows how long, Entrati could’ve started to go insane and mix those Emotions with Conceptual Embodiment and 1999 was created, much like how the Drifter created Duviri during the Zariman Accident.
I like this Theory but it does have some holes to fill. First, if this had happened, how would the Orokin have gotten their hands on Wally’s Finger? Would he just cut it off himself and give the Orokin the power to do Void Travel? I don’t think so. Secondly, if it were Wally, would no one else have noticed him and his change in behaviour? I mean Wally is surely a prized actor but even Entrati’s own family and Loid and all the people close to him wouldn’t notice how he had changed? I don’t know…
Theory Numero Two: During the Whispers of the Wall Demo, we see that Entrati entered a coffin like structure, presumably to sleep? He is refered to as The Sleeper (no The Sleeper is not that big ass Orokin Man thing, he is refered to as a Vessel). Doesn’t this ring a bell? Sleep, Second Dream you know sleep things dream things. What if the 1999 “Reality” was accidentaly created by Entrati during his Sleep? Think about it, when you’re Sleeping you think of some wild shit, I mean I would give you an example but it’s better not to cuz you know what I mean. Alright I’m going on too much. Entrati sleeps, he dreams of 1999 and, seen as his Lab had a lot of Void things, it reacts to his dreams and makes them real somewhere in the Void.
Assuming he slept a long time, this could make some sense right? I think so.
El Last Teoria: Warframe 1999 happens during the normal Timeline. Yeah. How? Well, are you familiar with the Radiation Wars? If not then it’s mentioned in the XATA Entry in the Necralisk near the Cosmic Clock. The Radiation Wars is said by Entrati to be some sort of event that predated the Orokin Empire’s own existance, when humans were still humans type shit. It’s never said if Entrati was or not alive during the Radiation Wars but for this theory to make some semblance of sense we have to assume he was.
In the Warframe 1999 Demo, Arthur and Aoi were looking for Dr. Entrati (Doctor before he became a Scientist maybe). Why they were looking for Entrati? Because Entrati could have the means to stop the Radiation Wars. Anyway, Arthur finds Entrati and Kalymos (da Cat) but it wasn’t really Entrati (more on it later).
I think this theory could make sense. If you think about it, after the Radiation Wars, the Orokin with their VASTLY SUPERIOR technology was what started the Empire. But like did they just stumble into a rock and became super powerful? Well no. We know for a fact that Entrati basically kickstarted Orokin Technology related to the Void so maybe during the Radiation Wars, Entrati was developing his Void stuff to potentially prevent humanity from collapsing with itself during this War.
There are some things that are wrong with this though. If this is true, it doesn’t explain how Entrati would be able to craft and study Void and Void Tech stuff. We assume that he stepped into the Void for the first time on Deimos because of the shape of the door seen in the Heart and in the weird glyph thing during one of the Requiem Recordings in the Necralisk. This can or can’t be true, he could’ve stepped into the Void from anywhere else but how? I mean the world was vastly less techy during the time of the Radiation Wars when the goal was to kill everybody else.
Ultimately it’s probably gonna be something else or perhaps a combination of all 3 who knows, I mean this is DE we’re talking about. There’s just something that doesn’t make sense in the Second and Third Theories. What in the all fuck is Wally doing there? In Theory 3 it could make sense, he could be trying to prevent 1999 Entrati from closing the Portal and allow him to be set free much earlier. But like, in the New War, wasn’t he freed already? Are there multiple Wallys? Wallies? Walls? Is Wally like a fixed point in Time and Space, so there is only 1 Wally for all other Realities? Wally continues to be a mystery and I continue not being able to give a definitive answer because of this 18+ naked man with four arms and legs that probably has some r34 about him at this point (please don’t search that)
Ahem, anyway… As I said, Wally is still a mystery and to be honest, we don’t even know what is end goal is. Until now, this all seems like some sort of joke to him. If he knows what’s gonna happen of course it’s a joke, I mean I’d laugh too if I knew people would do that exact thing, but after a while I’d maybe start altering events to make them do something different because I’d just be bored. This could be Wally’s endgame right? Changing events so that Reality doesn’t end the way it is supposed to end? Ahhh who knows, I surely don’t. For all we know Wally could be a fucking Kubrow who lost his toy and is looking for it across the ocean of Void or something.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you didn't get brain damage after reading these theories I made while literally on the Toilet and I hope there is some actual value to the things I spent like 10 minutes thinking about.
Also, if Mr. Siege reads this, I love your videos, keep making the world a better place man.

one thing we must keep in mind is that what they showed is just a demo of what's to come. meaning what you see is subject to change. so there's still a chance that the albrecht we see at the end might end up being the real albrecht when 1999 comes out.
it also means that DE might elect to use a slightly different excalibur skin because the one they used in the demo is literally the default skin, with all the symbols and orokin writing saying "hayden tenno." the writing is indicative of the existence of tenno, which wouldnt exist in 1999. of course, this is only assuming that the 1999 excalibur is the first warframe. and it depends on DE's intention with that update, we dont know if that takes place in the past of the core timeline, an alternate timeline, or in a completely different universe spider-verse style. right now, my money is on the idea that albrecht modified an existing excalibur warframe so that arthur could wear and use it. this would explain why arthur, a normal human, has such a hard time using its abilities. this hearkens back to what we learned in The Silver Grove quest. Archimedian Silvana couldnt physically tolerate transference for long periods of time.
also, did you notice that the lady in the intercom used a Mag ability? so Arthur isnt the only one with a frame. maybe we'll get a volt-user as well

I think the Indifference is another reality, constructed with materials from both the Void and the Frame (what I will be referring to the reality Warframe takes place in) to act as a sort of laboratory. Not for Albrecht, but for the Man in the Wall. The Indifference seems to be a place almost impossible for a human to traverse normally, but a reality bending entity like Wallter would be able to pass around it easily. Maybe the Murmur is just that, a murmur of the Man in the Wall's first experiments with life. Maybe that's why he's so interested in the Frame, because it's the first reality he's encountered that's not only created real, sentient life (not talking about the Sentients lol), but also interacted with the Void, and also being able to break a little bit of the "Wall" of the Void, between the Frame and other realities. That's just my thoughts though, and the lore is subject to change these thoughts.

My theory is that voidtongue is like the language of reality itself or something like that. The requiems are at minimun a part of the voidtongue and it seems we can use them to kill inmortal beings such as the liches, sisters of Parvos and probably the Orokin too with the right convination of Requiem. I think those combinations work as a “true name” which once you know it you have control over the being, letting you control it or even destroying them. This is something that appears on some mythologies so i guess DE made it into warframe or something

It has 3 one syllable words, most likely 1 word and then twice the same (that part is hard to tell), timing is similar, and it plays in the same way: first in your right ear, then left ear, then both ears.
When you take it as a knocking sound, it's both ominous yet familiar but maybe it's also actual words with meaning, maybe voidtongue words ? 😵‍💫
Also. There is a funny experience you can make, watch the Murmur tileset with the display settings flipped upside down.
Looks like buildings, and cities. The various energy flows are going outwards so I wouldn't say they feed on something more like it is being produced and extracted out of their mouths and rocky buildings; going into the "sky".

During the Art panel for 2023 Tennocon I believe one of the panelists who is one of the people responsible for storyboards and narrative said that (paraphrasing) Man in the Wall “identity” isn’t going to have a reveal, and that they’re trying to build an avalanche for his questline arch.
We’re definitely not gonna get a “where did Wally come from?” answer I don’t think, cause that defeats the Eldtrich being story (you’re suppose to fear the unknown, knowing the unknown makes it known)
But I believe this is meant to misdirect for a bit, where we’ll eventually find the real Albrecht in Duviri and need his help to stop Wally in some capacity. But in truth, I think Wally will never truly go away or be “defeated”, otherwise the universe would implode given all the paradoxes he’s created to make the storyline the way it is

Something I haven't seen anyone mention in their tennocon breakdown was that they clearly do the "Whispers in the Walls" announcement right after the forced transference, but then they break into a music driven choreography with the automaton leading into a 2024 update "Warframe 1999"...
What strikes me as odd here is that the lead up of the quest is entering the void clock chamber. Why would this update end so soon after?... It seems more like smoke and mirrors with the 1999 reveal. And that transference into the automaton will likely lead into something else entirely! There seems to be something else lurking that they held off on teasing after the first title drop. And that eventually through other means will lead to the time leap later on.
Also, looking back, the ringtone on Albrecht's device, is a tone that we hear quite often in the Zariman in full or part.
This kinda leads me to another thought... Loid mentions that the void tongue was thought to be meaningless but feared to not be. Often when I hear the void tongue I think of Gregorian throat chanting, or music... Could the myriad of void rune symbols be more like notes and music, sung rather than spoken? Leading back towards some ideas they posed in Octavia's anthem quest and also the cyberscape showdown with Hunhow

Something that stood out to me in the echos demo, that I later shared with some friends is just how old the labs appears to be. Obviously it's beened closed off for so long and is the lab of the original void scientist but I noticed alot more than just that.
How I put it was "we didn't remake the horse and buggie when we tried to make jet engines or electric cars."
The labs we saw in the demo are styled off of how past technological generations of humans saw the future. We have arching tesla coils of void energy, intricate alchemy tables, the mechs guarding the area have their power cores exposed and use simple skeletons with little to any plating or covering.
That's not how us modern humans style our tech even when working with experimental new forms of power. The models used are outdated by modern 2023 standards.
But they'd be ahead of their time if being designed and made by someone of a mucholder age.
The end result of this thinking was the theory that the orokin empire may not have been a future sci-fi civilization but maybe a pre modern one. That or somehow technological progress and records were lost/separated at some point. Causing the origin to experience a technological progress with void as we did with electricity.

Or you think it is not that?
And since we already heard what eternalism is... We know that any reality from any time can be accessed from the void. So I think we will see a lot of those reality/time changes, as we have Albreht/man in the wall roaming through all possibilities of all time periods, and pulling out what he wishes, removing things he do not like. (Just like in New war quiz: Linthanna's parents are both dead and alive in same time. Both realities exist, and Wally can choose which one is real, no matter what Linthanna choose.)

The thing that really confused me about 1999 is how could there be people with a sort of proto-Excalibur and proto-mag suit if the infested haven’t been cultivated by the orokin yet? There should be no helminth or anything like it. Which makes me wonder if it’s possibly another reality via eternalism. Then that got me thinking, how would we even interact with another reality? Especially one not connected to us as seemingly the main reason for the drifter meeting us was strange void happenstance. Well what if that’s what the “Vessels” are for? Considering Albrecht’s history with him, they’re seemingly almost definitely modeled after Wally imo. Well Wally definitely has some ability to affect other realities through the void, considering what he did to us after we struck the deal with him. So what if that’s what the Vessels are for? Meant to replicate Wally and his eternalism powers. A vessel for us to cross the void and reach other realities

i like theory that wf1999 is memories of entrati that was corupted by Wally and we will fight to repair them in order to wake up entrati. I really don't like implication that void was discovered before 2000, bc that means mother from deimos is aslo from that era and she don't seem to know a lot. I hope there gona be not only 1999 part of this story, but we go bit by bit through time to see the rise and fall of orokin empire.

@@TheDsIEGE Begs the question what's going on with the turn of the century. Has to be something regarding the rise of the Orokin empire. It would be a weird idea to consider that the true dystopia of humanity would be covered in gold and marble first. I'm curious how fast the empire spread across the system. The technologies to consider are insane like freezing the surface of Venus completely terraforming the planet just because they can. Or perhaps because of the gold harvest the Corpus are doing right now.

I don't think the enemy in WF99 is any related to the Infested in our current storyline. The Infested only grew to infect inorganic units due to Alad V's manipulation (Suspicious Shipments alerts + Operation Breeding Grounds). While it had happened a long time ago, the date is still too far in the future comparing to WF99 timeline.

I feel like there must be some time travel shenanigans going on here because Orokin didn't have immortal bodies. They had the ability to transfer themselves from one body to another. Well, either time travel or something weirder, but it's definitely not something as simple as Warframe being set in an alternate history where this is what happened in 1999 of that original timeline. Like, more importantly than my previous point, it would retcon practically everything we know about the history of the world. The Warframe suits are another thing that doesn't match the original timeline at all. Warframes were Orokin subjects infested with the Helminth strain in order to create living weapons to fight the Sentient during the Old War. Basically nothing about 1999 makes sense in context of the existing lore, so I don't think we can integrate it into our understanding until more information comes out. I'm pretty sure that was intentional on DE's part to get us more hyped through sheer confusion.

    • @TheDsIEGE
