    Thanks for posting this! Your straight and easy to follow instructions helped me replace the blown speakers in my 2015 mazda yesterday in about 30 minutes. I ordered the speakers from Crutchfield's site and they actually included the mounting brackets and cable harnesses free.

    Excellent video. There's so much fluff and crap in videos on youtube, I really appreciate you not wasting my time. Straight to the point, informative, and excellent footage. Great advice on the harness plugs too. Going to make upgrading my sister's Mazda 3 super easy and fast. I hit that like button as soon as you asked in the video. Keep it up man you're doing it right!

    I opened my 2016 Mazda 3 driver's door panel today. Driver's door panel is exactly the same. I was fixing the window motor and replacing the window power switch ( button for driver window was broken). However, what I also found was the Sanji ZX70MK3-E MK3 Remote Alarm module mounted on top of the speaker.

    Thanks for the guide. I pulled the front driver side speaker out from my 2015 M3 i Grand Touring sedan, and its a 9" bose kd45-66-a60. Can you recommend a replacement similar to the bose? or do I need to put back the same Mazda bose speakers?

    Need a professional opinion, driver side door speaker worked fine last week, there was a day I was pretty pissed off I slammed my door and then the speaker stopped working, do I need to pull the whole panel apart or what should I do

    Hi. The speaker link goes to a landing page of many speakers. The Bose are 2ohm. What speaker did you use to match it up? I only found 4 ohm speakers?

    @jptheinstallguy hey man thanks for the video great info. just a little confused what to buy on amazon i def need the bracket and connector... but what is the difference between the connector and the harness?

    • @gsabo9779
      @gsabo9779 Рік тому

      hi got my front 2 speakers installed and they are boomin. for those clicking the amazon links just buy the white connector not the black harness. both the front and the back speakers need the "connector" to install. JP said the back speakers dont need a bracket but at quick glace at my back speakers (stock) i couldnt tell the size of the speaker or how to properly install. side note: i bought some sony speakers at my local walmart they were under 50$ hopefully they last! (i mean sony makes good sheesh mainly)

    Are these the speakers for phone calls as well? all of a sudden when someone calls, their voice is very crackled, but music comes out fine

    Good video. I have to do this sometime this week. I actually don't think I need a new speaker (the Bose system is still going strong). But I have a rattle coming from down by the speaker when the music hits certain bass notes. I don't think it's the speaker itself, it really doesn't sound blown. I think some kind of object got in there, or maybe one of the speaker bolts backed partway out. Or maybe some 'helpful person' dropped a coin in my open window slit. Won't know till I get in there. (I wish the speaker grille was removable without the whole door panel)
    Any advice on getting the fasteners off without breaking them??? Last time I pulled a door panel on a car, quite a few fasteners got broken and it was a headache to get it sorted.

    • @jptheinstallguy
      @jptheinstallguy  2 роки тому +1

      Try to use panel removal tools everyone says use nylon tools but I only like using those if it's a really hard plastic most of the time for clips directly to the door I use a metal one cause its stronger and to be honest if the best way to not break clips is try and get on the back side of the clip close to the panel and apply the pressures there but it still may break. I still break some sometimes depending on the condition of door panel or clip you might not be able to help it.

      @@jptheinstallguy All good info, thank you :)
      I found some replacement clips online, i'm gonna order those before I try to do anything. I think I'll order some, and just tolerate the noise for a while. Maybe (hopefully) we get some warmer weather as well.

      My 2 front door speakers rattle when bass kicks in. Apparently a common fault. If you take the speaker out you will find that on the rear the speaker has peeled away, probably due to moisture ingress. You can use a good quality adhesive to re-attach it, and the problem is solved.

    • @kathrynck
      @kathrynck 2 роки тому

      @@rayeverett8501 Ya, I was able to refurbish those front Bose speakers. Worked like a charm.
      I think the moisture problem is due to the window opening. With the windows down (even a little), that front part of the door has that gap where the window slides up... rain goes down inside, right onto the back of the speakers.
      If I had known in advance that it wasn't very weather protected back there, I would have strictly used the sunroof (in tilt mode) for ventilation in damp weather. I don't exactly drive around with the windows down in the rain, but habitually i lean towards cracking a window for ventilation even if there's a light drizzle outside. It's an old habit, comes from 'tons' of driving, and liking to be able to 'hear' cars in my blind spots (weather allowing).
      I was a little worried about refurbing the speakers (8 years old), instead of just replacing them since I had the door taken apart anyway. But they sound like new with silicone re-attaching the back of the speakers now. Definitely better made speakers than most cars I've owned.

    came here to see if anyone could help me , my right front speaker was blown , so i figured i could just unplug the right speaker until i was able to get replacements , well when i disconnected the right speaker , and tested it to see if everything worked fine , i had somehow lost power to all front speakers , the back door and trunk speakers work fine but the front ones are just quiet , i thought maybe reconnecting the right speaker would fix the issue , but still no sound coming from the fronts even with the right reconnected

      If u know how to solder u can just cut the factory harness with 2 wires then solder them onto the speaker
