Must read: I have a 2016.5 cx5 non bose base model with updated 2.5 engine stock and navigation. It comes with 4 speakers however the side dash speaker has a male connector of which you will have to buy the female. This means make sure you know what you have before you buy it as the reviewers car has a female stock connector. If anyone is looking for the stock center dash speaker wire, its located behind the glove box, if you take it off, its staring you in the face. Its a female connector white.
Do you have a link for the tweeter cable
My 2016 Mazda six has the same corner deal there. It looks like he just push on the connector the screwdriver to let it go? Also, looking for that little pigtail, I do not want to cut the factory harness. I just bought some Herz speakers that look the same as those .Thank for posting this.
Is that the same directions for a Mazda 3? Do you have to have a special tool to pop off that dash top grill? I have intermittent buzzyness. Is it a speaker problem or is something loose in there?
hey man, thanks for the video, nice job. Question wondering would be able to fit the twitter and the 3.5 speaker (or maybe a 3 inch like 3 way focal system)
Can you please provide the link of the connector, I have already bought a connector but it doesn’t fit.
Do you have a updated link for the tweeter wire cable?
Anyway you can help me out man how do you get the wires to connect to the mazda 6
That stock speaker looked like hot shit lol.
Just wanted to know what is in the centre grill on the dashboard. It seems that its for a speaker but still wondering if its the case or not. Do have the 2 side tweeter but has also the centre grill.
In my car there is place for speaker but not wireing ready.
Hi man, i have a Mazda 3 2015 and recently changed the factory tweeters to a better ones, i noticed some improvement over the factory ones but i feel like the grill keeps most of the tweeter sound (because there's only high frecuencies on that)..
Did this speakers sound loud enough to be noticed by the driver and the passenger with the grill in place?
Did you keep the factory radio and amp with these speakers?
Btw, thanks for the video
I have factory amp and radio. These are loud enough and yes the speakers place in not so good for sound but the change is noticeable.
You didn’t even show how to do the wires and stuff. What help did you do?
Hello. Can you send a link please?
about to do the soon on my north american market 2016 cx-5 touring. I have the speaker blank in the center grill, but will be curious to see what is under the side grills; whether I have just a tweeter or an actual 3" / 3.5" midrange under there. what were the sonic improvements you noticed with this speaker change? I'm going with the Kicker 43DSC3504 as it required the least amount of RMS watts since I'm staying with the stock radio. Since the car came with a tweeter, was't there already a freq cutoff/crossover (bass blocker) in place? Seems silly to send low frequencies to just a tweeter...
Yes, there is a capasitor/bass blocker in original speaker.
I don't recommend kicker speaker i installed it on my Mazda 3 2015 sound terrible with stock radio very underpowered so i returned the stock speaker
I brought the speakers. Could you please send me which pc fan male power cable should I use. Coz I already brought 2 pairs of metra non of it works! Help!!!

@@jaketechnics1103 do you have a new link
do you have a new link?

hey man, i've got the exact same car, thinking about the exact same speakers, and came across you video haha!
are you satisfied with the outcome? what other speakers did you change? thanks a lot!
I think that the most valuable speaker upgrade is when you change only the dash speakers. I have also changed front and rear door speakers and the improve is not so effective.
I have a 2017 base model that doesn't have speakers. So, I was wondering does it have wires there ready?
Remove the speaker cover and look. It is easy job.
JAKETECHNICS yeah I already did it was very easy!
Sooo.... was there any wires there? I mean I could go check myself but this would involve me going down 6 flight of stairs and hopefully I carried the right pry tool.
@@MarkSegree Yeah there was
Thank you for the video
Is speakers with 75 watt works fine?
They are working fine.
And what is the make of the tweeter u have replaced and what abt the watt??
Hertz speakers, 60w.
I got these exact speakers, don't you find that they have a bit too much high treble? Not sure if i'm just not used to it or the speaker is too bright
Simple answer, a system will sound as good as you tune it. Tune it also involves buying other speakers to match your upgrade and correct equipment to dial in your specifications
Is there one cable coming up or two? I see a tweeter and a mid, is the tweeter connected to cable or the mid?
I dont understand your question. There is normal two cables for new speaker.
@@jaketechnics1103 There is space for two speakers in there, a mid and a tweeter. I was wondering if there were two cables run through to drive the two speakers. I found out that there is only one since asking the question. Thanks.
Hello can tell me which capacitors you used exactly? 47uF 16V or with higher V
Good question...did you go with these? Also what if I don't add the capacitors at all? Will the speakers just not sound as good?
Hey! nice video. can you post the link to the connecting plug and the bass blockers please.
Hello. Cables are from ebay searching with "pc fan power cable 3 pin". Capasitors are from local electric component shop.
Can you send the link of the order ??

I can attest that this is a true pain in the arse getting those screws out without the proper tool.
Pardon my ignorance but what is the bass blocker for?
The speaker area is designed for tweeters and there is no existing equipment
Because there is only one channel for door speaker and dash speaker and these are connected in same channel. You need bass blocker if you want get bass from door midbass speaker normally.
Please size of the new speaker
tonystronger it’s 3.5
How did you like those Hertz speakers?
those was good improve if you compare to original speakers. Great value for money.
It must be a Grand Touring Mazda 6 with the Bose stereo and many more speakers.
nope, this is non-bose mazda 6
JAKETECHNICS Jake l can’t hear tweeters on our 2017.5 Touring 6
This is Europe model what is call "premium plus business". There is also "luxury" model which has bose audiosystem, leather seats etc.
