I was about to buy a set o brackets until I came across your video showing we can cut the original speaker an use the old bracket. Thanks!
My husband and I are working replacing my speakers on my 2014 Mazda 3. We are having a hard time putting the door panels on. I was hoping you'd go more into detail and showcase on how you "modified" the speakers for them to fit :( I can't seem to find much information about the back door speakers anywhere on UA-cam that will show me step by step from taking the door off to putting it back on.
There's two screws. One under a rubber dust cover inside the arm rest door handle and one behind the plastic cover behind the door latch handle. Remove those two screws and then it's just regular door clip/pins that you pop loose.
The speakers are a 6.5" round. You'll either have to modify the stock speakers and use those as a mounting bracket or you'll have to buy 2" space rings. Hope that helps.

The left audio channel in my 2015 M3 iGT sedan is not properly working. Hardly any sound from the left speakers. Could it be the amp is going bad, or something is shorting-out?
More likely the speaker
@@qcsbuilds5708 I did replace the driver side BOSE speaker with an Alpine, but still run into the same problem. Sound is low and muffled on left side. All speakers on right channel are fully functional. Could it a short? The left dash tweeter isn't working at all. Can it prevent the other left speakers from working? Thanks for the input.

If you can’t afford an extra $35-40 to buy the adapters you can’t afford to do it lol’
This will make your install take 10 mins here’s the front door adapters
Harness adapters are the same for all 4 doors
Metra 72-5602 speaker harness adapter
Front door speaker adapters
Metra 82-7501
Tip: if you buy your speakers on crutch field they give you the adapters free’ there speakers might be a bit higher price than say Amazon but factor in the actual 2 day shipping super tech support and free adapters it’s absolutely worth it!

Fyi both front and rear speakers in a NON BOSE are 6.5”
The rear door speaker adapter is diff than front
Any 6.5” 1/2” speaker spacer will work
You are correct. And if I had bought the speakers online I would have ordered adapters and spacers. However, I bought mine locally and a lot of Metra and Scosche adapters are not available locally.
@@qcsbuilds5708 didn’t meant comment towards your install was saying for future ppl it’s much easier to buy the adapters especially the speaker adapters so you don’t have to cut out the factory speakers from the adapter

How much would you charge for a job like this
Well I know my mechanic charges me $90 per hour. I'm so busy now that I've had to stop doing most of the car maintenance myself. I remember this took me about 3 hours.
