    i’m rebuilding mine but in my kit i have 2 rubber gaskets that seemingly fit ones thicker and one thinner, going with the thinner it peeks over a bit and the thicker just to much for my liking and won’t sit in just confused if i got and extra gasket

      I got a few questions like what torque specs did u use for everything etc I’m 15 and I’m gettin ready to put a Prox piston into my 1998 warrior and I’m just tryin understand

      Definitely gotta take the sprocket out. I go over everything (including torque specs) in the video, so just watch it through

    so do you just leave the valves loose until you do the timing? and then adjust them? thanks

    • @ClayRepairs
      @ClayRepairs  Рік тому +2

      Yep. I just got them close (a little loose) and then I did a final adjust with the feeler gauge once everything is pretty much back together and you have it at top dead center.

    Did you have to use any special tools for anything? I have to break down my top end to replace the piston and not sure where to start for tools and parts. Any help/advice would be great. 🤙🏼

    • @ClayRepairs
      @ClayRepairs  Рік тому +2

      There really aren't any special tools needed to do this, just regular hand tools and an impact gun is handy for taking the cam bolt off. I have links to all the parts in the description so check those out too.
      And one thing that helps me is to take some notes as you go through the video

      @@ClayRepairs you by chance remember how you got the bolt the holds the timing chain sprocket in place off? I can’t seem to get it

    • @ClayRepairs
      @ClayRepairs  Рік тому

      I used an impact gun with a screwdriver stuck through one of the holes on the sprocket to hold it. If you don't have one, maybe try the same thing with a ratchet or a wrench and you could hit it with a hammer. Also remember threadlock when putting it back on!

    Need urgent help, tore my top end to replace my piston and when i put my top end back together the flywheel wont turn over neither does the timing chain, when my top end isnt on i can move my flywheel by hand and see the piston budge but when i put the top end back nothing. NEED URGENT HELP

    • @ClayRepairs
      @ClayRepairs  10 місяців тому

      Did you time the camshaft with the crankshaft? It's possible the piston is hitting the valves causing it not to turn over
      The mark on the cam gear should line up with a mark on the head like at 13:48 Also make sure the crankshaft/piston is a top dead center like at 13:52
