Thanks for the tips, I didnt realize the the rad support un bolts. Way better than pulling the radiator out. Sweet swimple and to the point!
Nice video.. I understand what your talking about the whole time.. Definitely the best one that came up on my search!
Great video, very well explained. Helped me get mine out and replaced. I appreciate it!
Why did you use a all steel cooler
How much boost were you loosing? I want too test mine just because it’s old but I can build 20-22 psi at WOT.
about 4 psi
You didn't say anything about disconnecting the air intake at the beginning...
Sorry, but you don’t show how to do the work. I don’t understand how you think looking at you talk helps another person do this work. If you watch very many utube auto how tos you would see the good videographers who show the work. They show the tool, they show where each fasteners is for every component removed or unfastened. Sweeping your camera past a bunch of fasteners while you name components without detailing which fastener goes to what is really no help. I guess you figure the viewers already know how to do it. But then why do they need to look at you talking for the whole video and not showing how to do it? It seems like you are more interested in being in a video than showing how to fix the car.
I appreciate the feedback.
I actually like videos like this, I’m a mechanic but sometimes I just need a little nudge in the right direction. At first glance on the truck I’m working on I honestly thought I’d be taking the radiator out. I’ve just never had to replace an Intercooler in one these before. I like the fact that this was sort of a quick rundown in less than 4 minutes I got what I was after
@@shidukirider I agree. I am a mechanic and I was going to just go install it but figured I would watch something like this while I ate breakfast first just to see if there are any shortcuts or pitfalls I should know before I start. I jotted down the steps on paper just in case.
1. Take off pipes
2. Shroud
3. Brackets/Hood/Support
Then just reverse it all. Not shown but he does mention it is taking off the intake.
Thanks for the simple rundown. A lot of us appreciate the concise style.
You showed nothing helpful, people might as well go to Diesel Tech Ron RIP. His videos are far well better explained.
