Ron where ever you are, we all miss you dearly. A big lightbulb went off with you suggested testing the exhaust via the EGR. Brilliant thanks. RIP Ron.
Ron, After doing this test I am finding a leak coming from around the EGR valve. (I used soapy water to see bubbles) What is the best way to make sure the EGR valve is not letting air escape the manifold? My truck is pulling a P2262 code. Thanks!
05 ford f350 i on plug the computer to change valve cover gasket i allso remuved the oil presure tub that goes over the injectors efter i put to gether im getting code p2291 it starts but takes cople minutes befor it start what can i do
I tried this trick on my truck a little bit ago. And what i found was that air is coming out of my Crankcase Ventilation box that plugs into the cold air intake. ??? Can anyone tell me if that's normal. My truck has been acting kind of sluggish. Thank you.
sorry but I don't understand. The air is under atmospheric pressure of say 10 to 14 PSI the fuel should be under 40 +. Unless you have compression pushing it back by a bad injector then air wins because it's 300 +.
+DieselTechRon ok thanks I added a after market S&b cold air intake about a year agoband it looks I have some oil residual on the driver side as well ?

RIP Ron.
Still helping people Ron, even after you're gone. RIP
you should do a tool box tour and show off your tools. I like your lime green boxes are carts.
Great advice. Found leak
What would the symptoms of a leaky intercooler be? troublecodes? Performance issues?
Great video

will that 4" cap work on a 2002 7.3 turbo? or is there a better way for the 7.3?
Great Videos Ron! Do you have a web site ?
What size cap for the 7.3?
I can't find a coolant leak on my 6.0 2005 ford any ideas
Tommy Gregorcyk what area do u see the leak coming from?
Ron where do you live? i would love to sit down and talk about PSD's with you. being a fellow diesel tech for GM i wanna compare issues
He was from California I think. But hes sense passed away.
what are the chances that a the air wont build pressure because it passes through a cylinder?

isn't there a chance that at least one intake and exhaust valve are at least partially open at the same time?
hey Ron is it normal to have oil on the intercooler up pipe and down pipe ?
yes. And worse if the air cleaner is restricted causing a vacuum.
