I wish these were full shows. Half of what I loved about him was the storytelling and joking between cooking. He's the Mr. Rogers of cooking for adults.
Miss you buddy. Never saw you on tv but grew up watching you on UA-cam. I was born in 97 so I was a little late but I still make your gumbo recipe. Wish you’d come back.
I can't believe I found this guy I used to watch him when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I think that's where my love from food came from was this man here. I'm 37 now
My mom and I just smiled when I found this. Inspired me to try and learn to cook Cajun food. I miss the stories too😊 IDK, PBS had & has some of the Best shows with or without cable!
We need to keep him around as long g as possible, every generation recipes seem to miss something or get something added, everything he made was made the way it should be
I remember watching this dude with my grandma after my cartoons where done on Saturdays on PBS, I always thought heooked kinda familiar, I know now, he looks like if someone took my pawpaw (my dad's dad) and my PeePaw (stepdads dad) and like made them do a DBZ fusion dance, but make it Cajun.
Man, aren’t those silicone spatulas just a life saver??? I hate metal, plastic and wood spoons and such for attempting to get all of something out of a bowl!!!
Also, I just looked this guy up on UA-cam because I remembered watching him as a kid, and come to find out that not only was he not Cajun at all and was just portraying a stereotyped character for the laughs, he also was a racial segregationist.

Jambalaya rice is a Foundational Black-American Krèolé creation and cuisine in FBA Louisiana! It's not Cajun at all! So stop the myth!!!!
