I really appreciate the fact that you guys keep trying to improve the quality of yours reviews by trying different camera angles and perspective.
But honestly, I prefer the old point of view filming of the exterior and interior walk around of the car. It makes us feel as if we were there on site looking at the car.
Also about the test drive, I really like the fact that now it's a bit longer and more detailed. I like how the surrounding noise are kind of muted when you speak of the car.
I loved how you made this video! Popping the hood, sitting in the back, a secondary car following from behind...I'm loving this!
This intro is so much better from the old days of walking aimlessly around the car and cutting urself out of the picture xP haha.

Look at their sales figures. They have no problem competing with of Asian manufacturers. In fact, they've been taking market shares. I do believe they need to work on driving dynamics, especially the steering. They take care of that issue, then the Japanese really have to worry.
Having driven an Elantra in this spec on a number of occasions, I agree with this review 100%
+Lemuel Taylor I own one, and I can tell you that he is WAY off on most of his information. He must have been driving it in eco mode. When you have these things in eco mode, it does make the shifts sluggish. Take it out of eco mode, and it hits every gear hard, with plenty of pull.

I have to say I think the hatchback version of this car seriously reminds me of past notchbacks like the earlier Chevy Corsicas and Saab 9-3's..no one makes those here anymore
No hatch handle so when the electric release fails, and it WILL, you gotta spend the money to fix it,

Loved the intro! Just a little advice..I noticed that when you changed camera angles not all of the switch was done to the beat of the music. It would make it a lot cleaner looking if you matched the beat :). Otherwise fantastic video
Looks like the 2014 corolla and the 2013 civic had a baby...
Every time you click that hard plastic, my heart breaks. Other than the newer tech in the dash and the center console, my old 2006 Elantra gls might still be a better buy. Has the soft touch panels on the door sil which is almost a deal breaker for me with the newer Elantras that don't have that. Drive is really fun in the 06 too.
I just had to give up my 06, and I was super bummed. Looked great too! I'm probably upgrading, and I like so much about the Elantras, but I do want to feel the drive a little more than the newer Elantras allow. Really considering a civic or Mazda 3. Don't know what to do. Lol.
Buying used, and I could probably get a 2013 sonata for the same price as the Elantra. What do you think?

Great review Sofyan. It's not a bad looking car, just cannot get over the styling of it. I saw some pictures of the 2014 Forte Koup, it looks better than the Elantra Coupe but this time you get a 1.6 turbocharged engine now that puts out 201 hp which is the same engine that comes out of the Veloster Turbo. Check out some of the features you can get on that car on a 2014 Forte Koup, that something I wouldn't disappoint me.
Why do you not do a Genesis Coupe?
I'd go with the new V6 mustang in a heartbeat. Mustang: 300hp V6 vs the 200HP K24 in the Si.. It obviously comes down to more than that, but the new ford V6's are beasts. They make the V8's from a few years ago look like bloated garbage :)

However, by doing that, we can't really enjoy or analyse the engine sound and other noise provided by the test drive properly. Even if at some points, you give us all the sounds we need during the accelerations, it's not enough for us to grasp the feeling car completely. Not saying that you should stop doing that, but maybe simply balance the voice and the noise differently so that we can hear most of the noise properly.
I think the 2014 mazda 3 destroys
Generally good thorough review overall there Sofyan. I will admit that I did film an episode of Nexccelerator in late June on the same exact vehicle (except it was silver), but the only few differences was that it did have an automatic transmission along with both a navigation system and backup camera. Not to mention that it was the only one available to my knowledge as far as I was aware of.
In addition, do you also plan on reviewing the 2014 Equus when it comes out also?

Okay, first I want to say that I own a 4 door Elantra, with the 6 speed automatic with the manual shift option. I don't know what in the world this guy is talking about!!! When he says that shifting from 1st to 2nd feels like shifting from 1st to 4th!!! WHAT?!?! Maybe he just doesn't know how to drive a manual vehicle! In my automatic (with it out of eco mode) this thing hits every gear hard, and with plenty of pull!!! I really like the manual shift option when merging. I can merge in 2nd gear, hammer it and it takes off. I also don't know where in the world he is getting a 9 second 0-60 time. Take about 2 full seconds off of that time. Mine can do it in right about 7 seconds. No, that isn't muscle car speed, but very respectable for a car that I get 42 mpg out of when cruising down the interstate at 70 mph. Granted, it isn't as fast if you have it in economy mode, as that changes the shifting points. Take it out of eco mode, and you have pretty zippy little car. Yes, it only has 150 horsepower, but it only weighs 2,600 lbs. I think this guy means well, but I am starting to think he is being paid by Honda or something. NONE of the information he has given matches what I have experienced from my Elantra!!!

Hyundai hasn't surpassed any of the competition. Still in my opinion the second worst Car manufacturer in the World. FYI. Hyundai's built in Korea have a lower resale value than the others.. I love my 2013 hyundai coupe 6 speed manual. Except for the recall on the engine.... I would totally purchase again.
I was about to look at one for 3,500 186,000 miles on it.
