    I love my red 2013 Elantra GT! The trunk is so practical. It can hold sooooo much stuff!
    My car has a few bumps and bruises, and I was disappointed by the clear coat peeling on the plastic parts, but that's largely a symptom of me leaving it outdoors at all times, exposed to the elements. Park this car in a garage every night, and it won't fail you.
    I plan to keep mine for years to come.

    Wow, just a few years ago the Elantra was Hyundai's bread and butter. But now, it seems the company and its models are much more balanced for the buyer. Gotta love their work so far.

    Never understood why Hyundai chose to give the GT name to the 5 door hatchback. It should have went to the coupe. Since most "GT"S are 2 door coupes

    Are you high? That's an amazingly good value, especially when you consider the warranty, the standard equipment level and the way the thing looks. My $20k Elantra has heated rear seats, something neither of my parents' $50K+ Acuras even offer.

    beautiful Hyundai Elantra Coupe

    I agree, the lower trims have the front end more in line with the Elantra sedan which is a bit more pleasing to look at.

    Good value and better looking than civic coupe.

    ONE THING THAT WAS NOT MENTIONED HERE, THE GT HAS INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION,, WICH MEANS BETTER HANDLING AND RIDE AND 2, THE GT AHS THE A/C ARE ALL ABOVE THE CONTROLS WHILE THE COUPE HAS 2 ON TOP AND 2 IN THE MIDDLE, NOT A GOOD DESING.

    I agree the rear seats of the GT could be folded more easily. Also not a big fan of the large black 'mouth' of the front hood. Luckily the lower trim level has the more conservative look similar to the sedan.

    And if you notice, Ford is ripping off Hyundai in styling. Look at the rear of a Focus or Fusion.....

    Yah, the Toyota does look good. I'd like to see a review...especially with a manual.

    I'd argue the GT is the better bargain...the $19k gets you fog lights, alloy 16" wheels, a tighter suspension anyway since it's a different car than the Elantra, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, ipod cable, usb, mp3, bluelink, a cargo cover, heated seats, and the selectable steering...all standard...the Mazda3 is $20,000 and has none of that, the Ford similarly equipped is around $22,000...and of course there's the warranty which would tack on $1500-$2000 on those cars if added.

    Hyundai recently recalled the MPG

  • @gene978

    Very stylish but to bad about the mileage claims. Not like its only 2 MPG OFF either. I would be pissed off if I bought one because that would of been a very determining factor! Bad enough in 2007 The Civic claimed 30/40 MPG that's why I bought it and in '08 the new adjusted ratings brought it to 25/35 MPG. BIG DIFFERENCE. THE CAR I TRADED GOT 21/32.

    Isn't it amazing how humans can have completely opposite opinions. How did we ever end up all being so different, yet all being so alike at the same time. By the way, after owning my "ugly" 2012 Accent for a year, there are times, in certain lights, at certain angles, where I think it actually looks good! Not as good as a VW, but not too bad after all.

    I drove all of them in this class Elantra, Dart,Civic,Mazda 3 and I bought the Ford Focus.Why because everybody else is trying to catch up.

    Both the coupe and GT's front grille looks like a Mazda3.

    "We've never sniffed those claims of 40mpg," because Hyundai flat out lied.

    i agree with you in that beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I view VW sedans a among the worst looking of them all, imo.

  • @mak450
    @mak450 12 років тому

    nope, still just don't like Hyundai's design language although the GT isn't too bad.

  • @avlisk
    @avlisk 11 років тому

    Coupe is beautiful? I think this truly illustrates that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because I think it's gawd-awful ugly. Yikes! I wish Hyundai would build Volkswagens, because those are great-looking cars. Too bad the quality is so poor at VW.

  • @SL_barn
    @SL_barn 12 років тому

    wow- the coupe looks rediculously over-styled (just like the sedan). Though I can certainly appreciate the lcar as a whole for the price, it's just way too much for me...and it hasn't aged that well. The coupe just looks way too much like the sedan, too. And that face? Overzealous, if you ask me.
