And other then people questioning why I put other on "what ethnicity are you?" questions when I look white, and people doubting that I'm actually who I say I am cause, and this was truly said to me, "you can't be white-passing if you're mixed", I haven't much other trouble than a stern look at TSA. But these videos man, they make those truly terrifying experiences look like a fuckin joke. I was to scared to go to the store with family members that weren't my immediate family because we live in the south. I locked myself in my room on family vacations to the beach. I'd heard the stories, I lived in a vastly diverse city. I didn't wanna be the next person. Great video! Fwiw, it's pretty easy to let a third party know the sex of the baby. You can request a sealed envelope with that info and to not be told what the sex is, and then you're free to give the envelope to someone else.
For a project I observed a "special ed" class and they used dharr man videos to help teach the basics of social situations, communication, and emotions/reactions. The bad/obvious acting in the videos were actually helpful in this sense and the students grasped it well. So now whenever I see these videos about dharr man I feel sort of guilty even though I know it's totally valid lol

Generally speaking, if the parents want to find out during the reveal party they'll entrust a friend or something, and the doctor will give that person the details of the sex. The parents just get the basic info, like health of baby and whatnot in that case.
Sometimes, though, the parents will get the info then throw the reveal party themselves to surprise people.

@@idyllic58 I think I would probably expect an English speaker who doesn't know German (or German pronunciation) to pronounce Deutsch like "Dootch" (or possibly "Dyootch"), based on words like neuron, neuter, deuce, pseudo, feudalism, queue, and euphemism, where the letter combination "eu" makes an "oo/ooh" sound or a "yoo" sound (pronounced like the word "you"). Personally, I think it's more likely he thought Deutsch means Dutch and decided to just say Dutch instead of trying to pronounce Deutsch. You never know though.

Great video! Fwiw, it's pretty easy to let a third party know the sex of the baby. You can request a sealed envelope with that info and to not be told what the sex is, and then you're free to give the envelope to someone else.
For a project I observed a "special ed" class and they used dharr man videos to help teach the basics of social situations, communication, and emotions/reactions. The bad/obvious acting in the videos were actually helpful in this sense and the students grasped it well. So now whenever I see these videos about dharr man I feel sort of guilty even though I know it's totally valid lol
