Tamiya Extra Thin Quick Setting is "Hotter" than Extra Thin Paul, so it should work in situations like this where you have a small contact area holding larger pieces together. I have never experienced TET going off? I guess it can become contaminated with paint residue, but that's going to be minimal. You compared the price of a Tamiya 1/32 kit.. well, consider this one is HALF the price of the 1/48 F-35!!

Got this for Christmas my self Paul looking forward to your build is a cracking kit it's got the cannons for the cannon armed c plus the desert nose filter and the arrester hook for the sea hurricane so more hurricanes to come guys

Nice review and work Paul, just one thing I watch for is the wings, as they are multi part and don't have a spar - you can build them flat if your not careful.
Your kit is better moulded than mine. It's riddled with flash and ejector pin marks and covered in release agent. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed.
