- Welcome to my channel for another WW2 aircraft build and review of the famous Spitfire MK11a.
During the construction I have airbrushed and brush painted the parts. Some weathering has been added and also a coat of gloss varnish to seal the decals.
Please enjoy and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching!

Very nice build, as a child I had the Revell Mk1a in 1/32 and still have the remains of it. This model which seems to be unavailable these days had retractable undercart and a very nice pilot figure with it.
Thanks for watching 🙂
John I really enjoyed watching you build this 1/32 scale Spitfire love the way you did the camouflage and the rest of your paint job beautiful finish good job!
Thank you 😊
good work on the submarine spitfire lavelle good build fantastic work good colour scheme good video
Thanks Justin 😊
Only an expert like you can turn an abysmal Revel kit into a beauty like this. The rest of, mere mortals, will have to save up for the Tamiya version.
Thank you for your kind comment 👍
@@JohnsModelmaking Trust me, I am still recovering from my Revell Seafire build. The 20 euro price tag lured me into this project. Three weeks later, I have developed moderate back pain, and minor depression - my will defeated by Revell’s poor parts fit.
Whats abysmal about it? I have built it and it was great to build . Turned out really well
@@ZeldasGhost 1:32 version might be more forgiving. Building the 1:48 version was like brain surgery.
The plastic is ICM and brilliant.
Such beautiful work John on a brilliant plane, you,ve really gone to town on this one mate well done and great video
Thanks Dave 😊 I very much appreciate your comment 👍
The underwing roundels and trestle position stencils appear to be far too inboard. the red centre spot should be roughly over the outermost cartridge ejection hole and the trestle positioning stencils aligned with the aileron hinge points.
Yes, I know, I had some problems with the original decals and sought out replacements, but they too were problematic. Decal soft didn't work either.
Hi John you have some top models there the spitfire looks epic and like the new intro. I haven't bought a model for years and didn't realise they cost so much these days great job take care
Thanks Rod 😊 your comment is very much appreciated 👍
Can realize that all the Allied Fighters after June 6 1944 had those black and white stripes on the wings!
Yes, friend from foe id recognition.
I too like to play with the camouflage either stencil or bleeds and sometimes I combine them both on one plane I like the effect I don't always stick with the standard model pilot that I have to adhere to a certain style I always like to experiment since I say to myself this is my point not theirs LOL
John were you ever able to find an aichi 1/32nd scale Val you know the bottom of the Japanese use when attacking Pearl Harbor it's getting harder and harder to find fighter planes of World War II in 32 scale
I saw 1 on Ebay £249 listing stated 1/30 scale.
Better change that title says mk11 instead of mk1. nice build tho!
It's a Mark 2 . Thanks for watching.
Very poor kit j and im not a beginner stay with Tamiya.Great constuction
Thanks 👌 😊
