One thing sakitech didn't mention is that Galaxy Tab S tablets comes with free, lifetime, membership of Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. This was the major reason I went with the Galaxy tablet, I can actually use it for work

Free pen and exrtra storage, and a better overall experience, all that withtout having to buy an over-priced device witht no pen or extra storage, that does the same, if not less. I feel like Apple is scamming us. If they sold the iPad Pro like $100 cheaper and included the free Apple pencil, then it would be worth it.
I'm buying the Tab S7 soon! Samsung is too good at tablets. Made me change from Apple to Android. I used to be an Apple fanboy and an Android hater, until I finally got my hands on a Samsung tablet. Fell in love with the Samsung/Android software and OS.

I do own the iPad Air 3 too, which is good and fast, but iPadOS is meh. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is sooo mucn better! Samsung Tab S's are the best in the world, so I recommend them any day over the iPad Pros. The Tab S8 is gonna be amazing!

I just did an iPad 6th gen comparison with a Tab S2....how's that for an unfair advantage....go read it.....do you think people throw their stuff away after one year or a few months because a new processor is out. How much difference can there be milliseconds???? the average user won't care. Try charging that pencil on the Pro while on the go and you will need to because it drains quickly.....don't be surprised if someone asks you if your tablet had a sex change lol......it happened to me.

Do you have any idea on the use of both for photo editing by Adobe software? for example display color accuracy, speed of the device when operating Adobe softwares which one is better? consider to this aspect.

As a user of the iPad pro 10.5 and a fan of android, I could say that it boils down to what you'll use it for. There are lots of ecosystem-specific functions that would make one better than the other, but you can never say that they are each objectively better than the other because they both shine in different lights.
I have the iPad pro 10.5 and a Samsung Note 9, despite being part of different ecosystems, I find that they work together well enough for my needs.
All Android Tablets are dead. They will no longer receive any android updates. The S4 is already Obsolete. Buy the iPad if you want a future proof device. Even if you are on the android side, the s4 would not be an option.
Which app do you recommend for note taking. I want an app that if you take notes on the ipad, the note 9 will be synced with the same notes.
@@jhonnyhernandez5088 I only use my iPad for heavy note taking (lectures, seminars, etc). For quick notes (shopping lists, checklists, etc), I use Google Keep. If I need, however to take notes that I need synced on all devices including my laptop, I use MS OneNote. You might think that's a lot of apps, but if you set a certain purpose for each app, and you have them all in your head, It's actually much easier to keep track of what you need and open what you need. For example, I keep my bank statements on Notability (iPad only). I keep my Agenda on Google Keep cause I need to be able to check them regardless of what device I bring. I keep staff meeting transcripts on one note because I need to be able to have them on all devices.
TL;DR
Use Google Keep for short notes, OneNote for longer notes.

No, some people like both. some are in Android or more or less Samsung vs Apple these days. Samsung has it's own eco sys as well among their devices.
These comparisons are awesome and provocative. They trigger a lot from both sides as each have their fan base and fanboyisms.
There are great apps for both, most for Android won't break the bank. Saki does not detail the additional costs of specially made apps for iOS. Creative apps for iOS are often extra $$$ you will spend for that seemingly flawless feel. Android are made for many devices. Again, that is something specific. The creative tools in the Samsung provided kit with the pen include many MS based apps that work fluidly with that Android system as well. Creatively, you are ready to go right out of the gate.

It depends on the usage. Big advantage of android is the cracked apks that you can install. These include premium games/apps and even apps that are not listed (patron adult games, etc). Downloading torrent in android is advantage too.
For IOS, the advantage is the premium apps itself (educational, professional, exclusive games). Although expensive, the quality is amazing.
Personally I use both. Galaxy note as phone and iPad as tablet so I have the best in both worlds. iPhone as phone and galaxy tablet is also a good combination.
The new iPad pro was said to NOT have a headphone jack.
Now the Samsung Tab 5SE and Tab S6 don’t have headphones jacks lol.

S4 has DeX which permits running desktop ARM Linux distros via UserLAnd an Linux on DeX. That feature should be better known since flagship Linux phones may never exist.
I use Android phones but always purchase the new iPads, in my opinion that's the best product Apple makes....

Smartwatches are the best too, phones are decent but overpriced. The macbooks are flawed right now and majorly need cleaning up, anddddd that home thingy thats like google home is totally not worth it

I currently have an iPad Pro 9.7 that I use for home and work. I works well but I love the ability to customize the Android OS. I was somewhat disappointed with the specs on the tab S4 but I wanted to see DEX in action anyway. I was very surprised how well it worked. I was able to run a dozen programs at one time with no issue at all. After seeing how it worked I decided to order one in hopes that it will be more efficient for me at work. I agree with Saki, I think it comes down to what you need the device for as both are excellent and both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Since 1994 before you pass judgement I would encourage you to take it for a test drive. I do agree Apple and has a more robust ecosystem for tablets however all the apps I tried on worked perfectly. The apps I tried were apps I use on a daily basis which I believe will makes it a more productive devices for me.

this is gonna be a nightmare, even regular android on tab s3 wasn't fully supporting play store apps and gave it some crashes because app developers don't really care much about tablet form of their apps
it's not worth taking the risk when there is another perfect solution around
iPad productivity is so great only lacking desktop version grade of some heavy duty apps which I don't use
but it's getting more and more laptop replacement features by the time which will make it in 1-2 more years ideal for heavy duty users as well

Alexandra Bečková lol iOS devices get software and OS updates for 5-7 years that Samsung s4 will get one official OS update in its lifetime. All Samsung does is push hardware out l.. they almost never support their products after the first year.

Ipad is bit better as a tablet, however for pen, I still feel S-Pen give us better experience on taking notes, I've used both, and I think apple pencil tip is too hard on the glass

I’ve had and used a S-Pen on a Galaxy tab. and a Apple Pencil on a IPad Pro 9.7”. First as Saki mentioned, the $100 for the Apple Pencil is awefully. expensive. When it comes to talking notes, I had a more efficient experience with the Galaxy Tab. and the S-Pen. While taking notes on my IPad Pro 9.7 inch, the screen would flip on its own from portrait to landscape. I would constantly have to manually p/u the IPad in order to rotate the screen back to Portrait Mode. That’s a frustrating way to take notes! The Apple Pencil has to be charged to use it. It (AP) has to be connected via Bluetooth also to use it I didn’t find Apple’s Note-Taking software to be anywhere near as robust as Samsung Galaxy’s. Having to lug the huge Apple Pencil because of a lack of a slot on the IPad was inconvenient. The Apple Pencil is round and sharply pointy. The AP is bit less fluid from my experiences with it.

This is one of the best comparison videos I have seen for Apple and Samsung tablets. Finally we get someone who truly compares the two devices with zero bias towards any brands and gives the viewer a detailed understanding of both devices.
I have already ordered a Tab S4 with the keyboard because of the desktop like functionality that DEX provides but I completely agree with the apps ecosystem being way more polished on the iPad.
In regards to the display it all comes down to personal preference, the Tab S4 has punchier colours while the iPad Pro has less saturation.

You can edit movies on the Tab S4, but the iPad will be a considerably better platform to edit movies (better performance, much better video editing apps including the free iMovie) and even playing games at maximum performance (no stutter, no lag)

Nice one saki....it's the S4 for me and I have both....not the pro but an iPad 6th gen and the pencil.....You have to charge the pencil as well and it's very awkward I can tell you. BTW you may get better apps but I have android apps and gaming is still great on my S2....it depends which games lol. BTW the Apple apps are expensive....everything is more expensive even the wallpaper apps. The in app purchases for a game I run on both android and IPad tablet always cost more. The way I see it the Pro is ideal for creators who do video editing (Procreate costs 21 euros) and you have to buy apps like Colourfly or Procreate to use the pencil since it does not have in built software that comes with the S4 S Pen. You didn't mention how pricey the keyboard for the pro is....it's very pricey. The S4 will manage with an ordinay bluetooth keyboard and mouse which you can find on amazon or Ebay if you do not want to get the original keybord for Dex. Multitasking on the pro will be awkward since it has nothing that compares to Dex.....frankly I don't use that on my Ipad since it's a headache. If you want the tablet to watch moves and just browse and even play games....the S4 is more than capable I can assure you. Just keep in mind once you get sucked into the Apple app store it's a real money drainer. Finally the iOS is great but not custumizable enough for me personally and printing is a chore....while printing from the S4 should be a sinch. Ultimatley it up to the user but if you are on a budget and do not need to do any serious editing get the S4. And of course the storage thing...you will have to take out an icoud subscription depending on your needs and they aren't cheap on the Pro. The Pro sucks the money out of your pocket just by you looking at it lol One last thing....both have a headphone jack....the next generation of iPads won't so if you really want it get it now...or no headphone jack. Another thing I have Netflix and I can cast Netflix to chromecast from both the S2 and the iPad (not quite the same but similar enough to be able to judge) That's why I bought the iPad to see what the hype was all about lol. If I can manage with the S2 then the S4 must be sensational since I use both tablets daily...ok call me a geek. That's it.....sorry i rambled on and on but since I have used both OS I can put in my two cents worth. Depending on your prt of the world that pencil cost me 136 dollars...120 euros.....also keep that in mind if you are outside the US.

Your were to the point. Another thing to consider is that after sales services of apple is worst unless you are based in US. Those who are saying that After few years S4 won't receive any updates to them I would say that Samsung is currently emphasising on Dex as the next big thing. Having introduced Dex in tablet for the first time, I think they would definitely provide software updates for atleast 2 years; if not then anyone can go to XDA developers website and find custom Roms based on latest AndroidOS (Android Pie or its sole succesor that would be the last android OS though) so no problem should be there in this regard. Before buying one must always consider the net cost and after sales support, which is Samsung's native niche for selling its product.
I never needed support thanks God but I see your point....you have to hold the retailer accountable here and it's EU law. That's why i have my own favourite stores who have always been fair especially when we haggle over the price. Yes it's a thing here, you are expected to haggle over the price except with the big stores. But the smaller retailers will give you a fair shake over the price and throw in a case, cover or mouse...even headphones....I like that kind of service. It's our way what can I say. Europeans in general like to know there's a retailer that can be held accountable....they want a face they can complain to lol
I too have both an iPP and S3. S4 looks cool, but I can concur with everything you say in this post, and it matters a great deal to new buyers. I had no idea going in with IPP how much extra all the apps would cost. The other issue is I use them outdoors in various weather. Ipad Pro will not work when its too cold out. Ipad Pro shuts down on a hot day. My S3 I have used in weather 5 deg below zero, and recently in SC on a site where it was 102 deg outside. S3 gave a warning, but stayed running. Ipad just quit had to really cool before it would restart. Made me think what a POS
That another thing you have to ask youself.....we don't have extreme temperatures here so it's all good. I means it's hot in summer but I rarely take my tablets outside....that's my phone....he's the constant companion. When I do take the tablets out for a spin it's to someplace indoors...a friends house or a cafe.... somewhere safe. That's why this choice is subjective and yes new buyers can be confused....I'm an old dog at this lol.

I have a Samsung Tab S3 (and a lot of iPads!) I prefer my Tab S3 because I can work with it, and particularly due the capability of having a mouse with android. Often when I have to work using Excel I prefer taking my Tab S3 rather my MBP 13 ! The question would be irrelevant with an iPad !
I hear you and I have a Tab s2 lol. I love that thing and i still use it. I have a Note 8 and I can now understand how awesome the S pen is....the pencil can't really compare because you have to buy pricey apps for it.....once you get the apps.....there's always more features to open in the same app....and on and on and on it goes. You can spend 30 dollars in a blink and not know it....till you get the Apple invoice that is lol.....which is another annoying thing. Google charges you there and then.....the Apple invoice come later on maybe a day or two....so you can't really keep tabs if you're not careful. We get the colouring app right....it's free and they add new pics.....on the iPad you have to buys something like colourfly....so you buy it right.....then you have to buy packs of pics at a time to draw or fill in. Like animals for example....then maybe you want landscapes....fork out more money.....it's a rip off. That's why i got the iPad, to judge for myself.....and if I know people are on a budget i don't recommend it. i try to explain all this. Thier best feature is Facetime...at least it's free and fast....better than skype but you need your bf or family to have an ipad or iphone to use it. Did these people vote for Trump because they are masters at building walls not bridges lol

Well whatever it is just enjoy it....life is too short. Can't say i had any real issues with anything except one pricey gaming laptop. But I use many brands...it's only on the tablets and phone that i choose mostly Samsung and now an iPad, And I sell my phones like brand new...not one scrach lol but that's just me. I have a graveyard of cases and covers in here lol.
yup....sometimes a tablet isn't going to be enough no matter what brand. My bf carries a small laptop which his company gave him, smallish and very light and portable, an HP. He can't manage with a tablet. Between us we have 4 tablets ....lol but they are mainly for recreational use. He has an iPad min and he loves it.....says it very easy to carry around and do some reading.
Alex I have an iPad mini and a tab s3 and can tell you firsthand the Samsung tablet is far superior. I use my iPad to surf the web and play games. My tad s3 is used for business as it is more of a device that is easily beats out my iPad. I would tell you that buying an iPad over the s3 would be a mistake
I own the iPad Pro and looked at the S4 yesterday. The iPad has much better sound but the S4 has the nicer screen. I generally prefer IOS because of better updating.

Shortly , if you're an artist dont hesitate , Apple pencil is the best stylus ever for designing and art and ofcourse most of the great software's for art come only on IOS , if youre not an artist and want to do some work done go for the Samsung ..
MAKE THIS UP PLEASE. An artist can't buy something that cheap for high specs and good quality. They need too fill their piggy bank for buy an apple pencil and of course an iPad pro

Surface Pro's will destroy both of these tablets. SP is more in the Macbook comparison. No iPP or S4 will touch the SP capability. Funny part is these devices cost similar to SP4. Creative tools for SP are far beyond what you get in a Tablet. None of those tablets will run Adobe CC either. Many users actually got free pens and keyboards with SP online specials. You don't get free stuff with Apple too often. It's called bend over.

I'm a Samsung everything user when it comes to mobile devices, however I did purchase my first Apple product, an iPad Pro 10.5 with 256GB of internal storage about 6 months or so ago with the Apple Pencil. At the time there was really nothing on the market for Android in the way of tablets. Now that the Tab S4 has come out I think I made the right decision. For a tablet, I hate the narrow screen on the Tab S4, the iPad has a much better form factor for getting things done. When I have a document open horizontally there is more of the document on the screen than on the Tab S4, a big plus! An SD card may be cheaper but they are much slower than built in SSD storage. Also, the colors on the iPad from your video review seemed more realistic, the greens looked oversaturated on the Tab S4.
What I hate about the iPad is the file system. Long pressing on a file on a web page such as a link to a pdf and not being able to save it to a folder on my device drives me insane and the file manager app is hardly a manager at all. Managing the file system on an Android device is the way it should be and Apple could learn from them. That is really my only gripe but a frustrating one for me as I take online classes. The iPad at this time is the way to go.

Ken G I agree, not to mention I have hundreds of pages PDF files in my iPad Pro 12.9 and thankfully I don't have to resize pages of them. My only complaints of my iPad are... the price for the device and accessories. The only time I prefer the Galaxy Tab S4 is when I watch lots of movies where widescreen work better at that. Overall I prefer 4:3 aspect ratio for everywhere else.
I too take iPads over any Android tablets but only by a hair or two.

May I suggest for future presentations that you keep your side-by-side views consistent; i.e. if you first present Samsung on the left, then keep it in the left position throughout? I found it visually distracting to realize that the Samsung was sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right. Thanks, again.

Ok. People will hate on Samsung and people will hate on Apple. But the thing is, it’s all your opinion. If I go out to a public restaurant, for example, and scream out APPLE/SAMSUNG IS WAY BETTER THAN: whatever the opposite company is, well, I’m way wrong. There’s a phone/tablet/iPad for everyone. Guys, yes, that means there are people that will buy a blackberry because they love it.... but seriously, it’s nothing more than your opinion..
