iPad 10.5 is the best tablet from Apple, and they will never come up with any better one because of the transition to a new design. 120 Hz screen, 4 speakers, 4:3 aspect ratio, cheap accessories. Great video Noah. I’ve used both and I have to say the older is better though the 8th gen does feel slightly faster and also the battery life tends to last longer by an hour or so. Though I would definitely still go for the pro as it feels much nicer with it’s 120hz screen.
I got a 10.5 with 512 GB if storag, new, out of the box, few months ago for a good price. It was not cheap and the 10.5 pro is slower than the newer iPads but never having to worry about having enough storage is worth any speed trade off.

Ṃenace Jamal nope, everything runs smoothly gaming, social media etc. But yeah i think the a12 processor will perform better and last longer compared to the a10x on the 10.5
The 10.5 is still an amazing device with Pro Motion and the form factor and the amazing double sided speakers, plus it has an audio jack, and the screen is just right size. Apple’s ideal, peak home button iPad device if they had just continued upgraded the processor. The A10X now does feel slow sometimes though using the current iOS. It weirdly just slows dramatically down at times for unknown reasons, which is irritating as the processor is 5 years old now, using sharing or file manager or starting apps. Other times it runs very fast, so not sure what the reason is. It has 4Gb of RAM which should be plenty to run several apps at the same time. Also, if you buy one, make sure it doesn’t have a screen defect, this model was famous for the screen getting white light syndrome where the keyboard is on the screen. So check for that by putting the screen brightness up to max level on a fully white background. Then it’s easy to spot.
my ipad the air gap actually helped cuz the top screen is kinda flimsy and starting to come off. but cuz the actual screen is underneath whats essentially a cover i just hold it down with a light ipad case and its still useable. if i was with a pro ipad id image that happening be alot more of a issue.
I’ve had literally every size/form factor or the iPad Pro. The 10.5 Pro is still my favorite to this day. The 11” is my current device because of the updated specs, but man that 10.5 was just the perfect build. Felt so good to hold. The fact that I really loved smart covers and that was the last pro to use them is definitely a factor in that.
I’m getting rid of my 9.7 iPad Pro for the iPad Air bc I’m using it for notes and the Apple Pencil 1st gen is annoying to charge and I keep on losing it as with the iPad Air/ pro it sticks to the top to charge

Currently I use 15GB on the 9,7 so 32 can be fine , but Sure if you like to edit more you would need more space, as well for storing fotos.... Anyways thanks for the comparison, keep up the good work
Mister B Idk understand how you can live with 32gb
@@martinimate4336 pretty good, never had issues and still 16GB available. 🙏🏻
@@martinimate4336 unless you download a crap ton of apps idk why you would ever hit that (accually sorry picture an video take alot of space)
Once you have owned a Pro, you would never want to go back to a standard iPad. I would not even consider the new 2020 iPad Air over my 2017 10.5 Pro. The 10.5 Pro is still a beast performance wise
@Ken88 however the air 4 does not have 120hz screen so I’d rather have the 2017 iPad Pro 10.5”
Noah is a man of his words! Thanks for the video. 👍
Wow this is an underrated channel !
I just bought an iPad Pro 10.5 rose gold. I love it! The four speakers are awesome!
I can't wait for a iPad 10.5 vs 9th Gen for me at least I would choose the iPad 10.5 over the 8th Gen but it is more hard now because of the 9th Gen!
What do you think of the 10.5 compared to the iPad 9?
Snagged a 10.5 with a keyboard for 300 last week! Thanks Facebook marketplace.
Oh that place dodgy
@@Harryd06 i guess i got lucky
Watch out for a white spot on the screen.
Jajaja u are a fkng lucky bastard
That’s one hell of a deal!
ipad pro 10.5 or ipad 9th Gen ?
Coming in 2024, will the 9th gen be a better choice than the iPad Pro 10.5?
I ended up getting the iPad Air 3. Good compromise for a year or two longer support unless you can score an iPad Pro 10.5 without the white spot screen issues. Out of 5 renewed iPad Air units I bought in Amazon and Walmart only two were clear of screen issues.
If u have 8th gen .can u try to use lighting to type c cable put into usb hub type c do same data transfer ❤️🙏
Just picked up a Pro 10.5 on eBay for $180, can’t wait!
I wait for the day that 120hz is the standard of all device screens too. Nice video
not just ipad
Yep, I agree but I think the standard may be 144hz because you can't notice much smoother above 144hz.
yep, we could be friend
@Ken88 going beyond 240 hz is pointless
Using a 2017 IPad 10.5 now and was considering the 2020 iPad 8th gen but doesn’t seem a convincing win to upgrade. Will await what’s in store for 2021. Great comparison.
Noah man
Really sometimes it feels that you have the super power to read our minds
Really helps us to buy our worth and is also really entertaining
Great work sir
hey! u really helped me by this video. i got the ipad 8 and im loving it! also i got the logitech rugged folio
7:10 idk why i cant stop laughing at that
yeah having a stroke
@@maheshwarm755 I can just imagine that lmao
7:13 did he really just say he'd have a stroke? istg this is chaotic but informative as well
should i buy ipad 7th generation 128gb or ipad 8th generation 32gb if they come at same price in the sale ? btw im a student .
10:15 A12 Fusion? Thought it was A12 Bionic.
@@graphite5408 No.. Apple is using the same A12 Bionic in their iPad 8th gen. (Idiot)
An A12 Fusion does not exist. Only A10 Fusion.
@@jonas8266 i stand corrected
@@graphite5408 Well, then please go to Apple's website. Under the iPad 8th generation's site it says ""Now with the A12 Bionic Chip" and "With the powerful A12 Bionic Chip, support for Apple Pencil..."

It there is a good tablet out there, be sure that Noah will cover every aspect of it. I am happy to have discovered your channel months ago. You are the tablet king!
I’ve used both and I have to say the older is better though the 8th gen does feel slightly faster and also the battery life tends to last longer by an hour or so. Though I would definitely still go for the pro as it feels much nicer with it’s 120hz screen.
What iPad is best for gaming iPad Pro 10.5 or iPad 8th gen???? Pls let me know
Thank you so much you will never know how much this helped me I love your videos keep doing what your doing. Insane
I got a 10.5 with 512 GB if storag, new, out of the box, few months ago for a good price.
It was not cheap and the 10.5 pro is slower than the newer iPads but never having to worry about having enough storage is worth any speed trade off.
Thank u so much I needed this vid so much
10.5” pro is better than an iPad 10.
I am very interested in the iPad Pro 10.5. Unfortunately I have encountered a lot of on-screen issues on many products that are sold with not new conditions here. while looking for a product with a new condition I don't think it's right.
Ipad pro 2017 vs ipad 9th gen please 🥺
Ive had a ipad pro 10.5 for years and love it
I am considering to buy it amd have been told that a white spot appears on the screen after time. Is it true and do you face any others problems?
@@iwanttoknowmebetter5878???
Ṃenace Jamal yes, i have this whitespot problem on my ipad pro 10,5
@@baguspramudya2650 So do you advice me to buy it( Mostly for gaming and taking notes). Any other problems?
Ṃenace Jamal nope, everything runs smoothly gaming, social media etc. But yeah i think the a12 processor will perform better and last longer compared to the a10x on the 10.5
Nice video! Thanks, Noah! Still rocking my iPad Pro 10.5 with 256GB with no problem whatsoever 😁
I am looking used one Ipad Pro 10.5 Just want ur honest opinion is $350 to much or great deal. I'll appreciate ur opinion.
I needed this comparison ! Thanks
So where is the iPad Pro 10.5 in 2021? Is eBay refurbished a safe bet?
Totally the iPad Pro 10.5. Extra ram, stereo speaker and the ProMotion.
The iPad Pro is a good iPad even in 2021 but the white spot issue above the home button is worrisome.
woah ive never been so early btw keep up the great content :)
Watching this on my 3days old Ipad mini 5💓
iPad Pro 10.5 no doubt. A10X Fusion, ProMotion display and *Quad Speakers*
BTW have you done any video on iPad 6th Gen vs iPad Pro 9.7?
You have this device in this 2023 bro?
Thanks dude ! Wanted to know your opinion about this iPad Pro 10.5. Just got one
I just bought a 9th gen and I don’t like the screen. Coming from a iPad mini 5. The mini 5 quality seems so much better.
You can get the iPad 8 128 gb for $359.99 today at Best Buy.
Ipad 8 2020 or ipad pro 10.5 "2017, for graphic design and video editing work ???
Would love to know the answer too!
iPad Pro 10.5 because of better screen and 120hz
my ipad the air gap actually helped cuz the top screen is kinda flimsy and starting to come off. but cuz the actual screen is underneath whats essentially a cover i just hold it down with a light ipad case and its still useable. if i was with a pro ipad id image that happening be alot more of a issue.
Um ussally the screens ok laminated displays don't come off soooo
Would love to see the 8th gen vs the air 3
Can you make ipadOS 16 for iPad Pro 10.5?
I’ve had literally every size/form factor or the iPad Pro. The 10.5 Pro is still my favorite to this day. The 11” is my current device because of the updated specs, but man that 10.5 was just the perfect build. Felt so good to hold. The fact that I really loved smart covers and that was the last pro to use them is definitely a factor in that.
Use a iPad Air 5th gen.
This man deserves a billion subscriber flamboyant 👏
I just got my 10.5 for $270 🤩🤩
I got ipad pro 10.5 for 470$ yesterday and it was second hand too
Where???

The quad speakers is a *HUGE* plus to me! 👍
I’m getting rid of my 9.7 iPad Pro for the iPad Air bc I’m using it for notes and the Apple Pencil 1st gen is annoying to charge and I keep on losing it as with the iPad Air/ pro it sticks to the top to charge
We need a comparison with. Ipad 2021
I just found a sealed, brand new ipad pro 10.5 64GB for about USD 440 after checked ipad 8. Hopefully, the ipad pro can provide better value.
Yes def
I love your vids keep it up 👍
The Pro, is it the 1st or 2nd gen?
10.5 ipad has designed flaw....after 6 month or 1 year of usage some dots and white spots will pop up on the screen.
i don’t have any of that and i’ve owned it for 2 years
VidzieOfc thn u r the lucky one to not to have these white or black dots.
i own one for more than a year and dont have the white spot too
Costco selling iPad 8th gen 32 GB for $480 Canadian, or I can buy a brand new in box (possibly off a truck) iPad pro 10.5 64 GB for $500 Canadian. Basically the same price, just 1 will have the warranty while the other will not (no purchase date no receipt, but sealed still so cant be iCloud locked) should I still go for it?
Hi Nick which of this devices would be good for photo editing, iPad 8gen or iPad PRO 10.5 2017 model?

As far as I recall, the iPad Pro 10.5 has the iPhone 7 camera rather than the iPhone 6S, as you mentioned
Which is better based on features and budget for family iPad? iPad Pro 2018, iPad Pro 2017, iPad Air 3, or iPad 8th gen?
@Ken88 What is the best budget out of those iPads?
@Ken88 cool
Ipad the iPad last gen and the. The newest gen and I wasn’t happy with the picture quality and other aspects. Keep on my I do have my laptop. Sometimes older is better. I returned my new entry level iPad and bought a refurbished iPad Pro from Amazon and I am happy and I can see the difference, in a good way. I rather have a older device that just feels like more quality and is then a new entry level I pad. I wasn’t looking to spend real money on a brand new iPad Pro. All those test run and all the advantages, it’s the same. This iPad does not lag and it’s beautiful. Better picture and video quality from a old one. I’m very happy
You didn’t talked about graphic performances. What’s rhe difference between these 2 devices ?
Don’t get that iPad Pro 10.5, I’ve had 3 units that all had a bright white spot above the home button after 6-9 months of use.
...and you kept buying them?
@@benzemamumba forgot to clarify, all of them were replaced by apple even after warranty. The third one is the current one that I have, and It developed a white spot after 6 months. I barely use the pencil and I don't press on the screen hard.
