I guess I didn’t wait long enough going to try it again after reading this in the manual. Good gosh Honda why not just make a button for the Auto High Beam feature smh
Pull the lever toward you for 30 seconds. Panel light blinks once - auto high beam is 'on'. Pull the lever toward you for 40 seconds. Panel light blinks twice - auto high beam is 'off'.

@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 yep, I made an appointment for Thursday. The auto headlights started working but auto high beams are not working consistently. Auto high beams came back a few times on but it eventually stops working again. Hopefully it's an easy fix I'm happier with the 2023 vs my 2017. The adaptive cruise control would take longer to come on after being affected by snow. In 2023 they do cut off when sensors are covered but it resets much faster
I brought it in but service guy didn't send it to back because there were no codes.he said they could test it when it's dark and I was going to take it back late on Wednesday but I actually think it's working correctly. So unless I have the problem again I'm going to write it off as a glitch.

No, the video shows how to disable/ enable the auto high-beam feature. So, if enabled in advance, the high-beam automatically comes on when needed and turns off when sensing lights. If disable, you have to turn them on manually.
So I figured out (after reading the manual), you need to engage the automatic feature by pulling back on the signal indicator while driving. 🤪 And, it appears to only indicate that it’s on when it is necessary, or dark enough I guess. 🤷♂️
You should have a setting where you can lower the sensitivity. My 2019 accord does so a 2020 Odyssey should have that option too on the infotainment's main setting

When I activate dipped beam, auto high beam turns itself off. I need to re rotate the switch to “auto” to have auto high beam back on. Is it normal ?

I tried this method with HRV but sadly it didn’t worked 😢
Which year and trim do you have?

Why does the 2018 cr-v not have an option to put headlights on automatically?
Which trim level?
If you keep repeating to holding it go up to 3 blink and 4 to 5 blinks what that mean?
Interesting 🤔
So basically while driving down the road you have to blind everyone with high beam for 30 seconds before it goes into automatic mode

No, there's a setting under vehicle settings -> Lighting Setup -> Auto High Beams -> On / Off.
