Here in this video I show you how to remote start the engine and roll the windows down remotely and key less entry to the car.
Any Honda that has a key fob like this should work. year of the car may vary.
all models of Honda that is EX trim level and above should have a key fob similar to this one in this video.

We were trying to figure out the same thing with my 2014 Odyssey until my husband remembered that his old Honda did that. I don't know if I can get my windows back up because of the key hole cover.
If the key fob is in you back pocket or even in front sometime with other items, it may get pressed and do that. Hope that explained. 💁🏽
I had a neighbor activate my alarm.
Has happened to many, many, many honda owners. And you can't disable the stupid feature. And they still haven't fixed the problem.

Thank you for this informative video, I have owned my Honda for 3 years now and was un-aware that I could do some of these things with my key fab. And I never realized that I could lock my car by simply pressing the button on the handle.

Your door can open without hitting the open. Just have it on my pocket
In my CR-V Touring I went into the system settings and enabled walk away lock. What that does is automatically lock your car when you get out and walk away with your key fob on your person.

Same . Knew about the other stuff but not the windows . Live in lower Alabama so this will def help after work in summer to let the heat out for a few minutes so you can breath when getting in car .

I have a 2012 Odyssey, and learned the hard way about lowering the windows. Several times, I found the windows down, after parking the van, and once found them down during a rainstorm. Keeping the FOB in my pocket, would sometime activate the windows. I made a FOB cover, out of plastic from a milk jug, and no more issues.

Honda owners, keep on mind that your car will run only for 10 minutes after it was started remotely. There’s an option for 20 minutes as well.

The 96 Civic has an override to alarm built into Radio face. Thin little spacebar. With no other funtion. If you cant locate FOB. But have ignition keys. Works great for thieves too

Nice video, and clear instructions! I found out by accident futzing with the remote one day. Learned about rolling the windows up from another tutorial that took waaay too long to get to the point. I hate that you have to use the key to roll the windows up, but I guess it's a safety feature so you don't roll up the windows with kids or pets in the car.
For Honda Accord u have to go back inside and turn on the car in order to roll up the windows

If you go in the menu on a 2018 accord you can set the door locks to automatically lock when you walk away from the car. so it unlocks when you approach the car and locks all by its self when you walk away, love this feature

I have the 2018 sport which doesn’t come with remote start. I bought a remote start key and had it programmed to my accord sport by a key shop and IT WORKED!!! Lol the dealership told me it wouldn’t work because that’s what their system tell them.

I have a 2020 Honda Accord Sport when I cone out in the morning all off my windows a halfway down what can I do to stop this.
Glad i found this, since a while now, when i remote start my car it doesnt turn the lights on nor heats the chairs up and i feel the temperature is lower than before,, is there a way to reset these configs??

The keyless entry feature is the only one worthwhile for me. I constantly have my hands full so being able to just grab the handle with the keys in my pocket and open the door saves me so much time of having to reposition and get my keys out of my pocket or set things on top of my crv

Ha, the big revelation for me was that there is a key inside the fob! I think my salesperson missed a key detail in the orientation for both my Hondas! I took a look, and there it was.

On my 2012 accord, if I hit the lock button twice and hold, the windows go up. I can use the key in the door to roll down all the windows and put them back up.

I got a message today that my keyless entry battery was low. I never knew anything about this! I got it open watching a UA-cam Video and all kinds of little things fell out. I don't know what goes where, but I put the new battery in and was able to drive the Pilot. Any videos on how to put everything back together would be nice. When I bought the Pilot nobody bothered to tell me about needing a new battery sometime in the future. Thanks for posting the video it is helpful I just need a little assistance with putting everything back together after changing the battery if things fall out.

What about problem wt keyless starting of the car. There is a problem with my Honda keyless starting. The keyless ignition button does not reposing when tapped or pressed.
I have a 2016 crv and a different fob than in this video. Occasionally I will accidentally start the car remotely in my pocket while walking away from it. My fob doesn't have the remote start button. I haven't been able to figure out the key press combination that's happening in my hand and pocket. Would be nice to know how to do it so i can use it as a remote start.
I've had one for three years and never knew this.

Ok so with 2020 accord hybrid why is it that I can unlock all doors with key fob in pocket and grabbing drivers door handle, but if I’m on passenger side and grab door handle I have to open front passenger door and hit the unlock button before I can access the back passenger door. My hope is that you can explain to me how to get it to unlock all the doors without using key fob or having to open passenger door then unlocking all doors. Thank you for your time.

Can this key fob work on a 2015 Honda Accord?
I have an 2016 Honda Pilot. When I hit unlock on my remote at dusk, should any of my headlights or running lights turn on automatically? (Esp. in a dark parking lot?) I could’ve sworn they always did at night but after getting my car serviced and battery changed, it no longer does it? :(

Never understood why you can't close the windows up with the keyfob. Had to have automators installed for it to do so. 60$ mod well worth it

My master window switch was broken and just replaced it. Now after pressing the lock button once on the key fob all windows roll up. Btw it's a 2009 accord.

Must an aftermarket module installed. DEI mod added at some point in time possibly (look under the dash or kick panel)

Good info. It always bothered me that the remote lowered the windows but didn't raise them. Its good to know that I don't have to get in the car and turn it on to raise them again.

@@aboyan3164 no. You have to use the key. I suppose it's designed like that for safety. If someone is sitting in the car and they have their head or arms sticking out the window, you don't want to raise the windows and unknowingly crush them. Just a guess.
