- On November 5, 2022 around 11:03 PM, Officers Patrick Watkins and Michael Hyle with the Lacey Township Police Department were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a 2011 Toyota Camry that had struck a fire hydrant on East Lacey Road. Officer Watkins arrived on scene first and made contact with the driver, who was identified as 19-year-old Jake.
He noticed that the vehicle had sustained significant damages on the front passenger side, and he asked Jake to explain what happened. Jake initially responded that he ran “into a fire” before clarifying that he had struck a fire hydrant. As Officer Watkins was speaking with Jake, he detected the odor of alcohol and noticed indicators of impairment. Based on his suspicion of impairment, he asked Jake to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exercises.
Officer Watkins started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. During the HGN test, Patrolman Julian observed the lack of smooth pursuit, distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation, and the onset of nystagmus prior to 45 degrees. He also observed vertical gaze nystagmus in both eyes. The second exercise was the Walk and Turn test. Jake could not stay in the starting position as the officer was giving him instructions, and he ultimately was unable to complete this test. The final exercise was the One Leg Stand test, and he failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion while putting his foot down multiple times.
Based on the motor vehicle accident, the odor of alcohol, and his inability to perform the field sobriety exercises in a satisfactory manner, Jake was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John’s Law, and the Lacey Township MUA later responded to repair the damaged fire hydrant.
He was transported to the Lacey Township Police Department for further processing. At the Lacey Township Police Department, Officer Watkins read him the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators, and he agreed to submit breath samples. His Alcotest results indicated a BAC of 0.22%, which nearly triple the legal limit of 0.08% and 11 times the legal limit of 0.02% for drivers under the age of 21.
After he was processed, he was released to a sober adult pending his court appearance after he signed the Potential Liability Warning form on her behalf. Officer Watkins issued Jake the following summonses: Operating under the influence, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to wear seatbelt, and open/unsealed containers of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Court records indicate that on March 28, 2023, Jake pleaded guilty to operating under the influence. As a result of his guilty plea, his license was revoked for 4 months and he was required to use an ignition interlock device for 9 months, while spending 12 hours at an intoxicated driver resource center. The fines totaled $690. The other 4 citations were dismissed as part of her plea agreement.

"you guys have no idea who i am do you?"
bro you're 19, you ain't nobody yet
😂😂
Oh I know WHAT he is....🐱🐈
SO intimidating…. 🤣
Right on. He has no idea what being an adult is, but he'll learn. Hopefully.
😂😂😂
So what happened here?
I ran into a fire.
Nuff said.
Damn, son.
"Why are you staring at me?"
"Because you're staring at me... You looked at me first."
"Well you looked at me second." 😂
😂😂😂
Hardest comeback of all time
Time stamp 10:00 😂
I'm goin to the marines, so don't fu8k with me right now!!
Second Cop: why you lookin at ME!!
😅😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂
That WAS funny!!!😂
Jake: if your gonna arrest me just arrest me
Cop: no I want to give you a fair chance
Me: a fair chance to gather more evidence
💯
Im not sure if its my paranoia.. but I don't get how ppl don't realize when sum1 is patronizing ...
Sure hope this little B never got on any PD. He's got a real nasty streak.
He would be damn dangerous !
Hold up… he said he shoved a half dead deer into his backseat, thought he could drive it home, stitch it up, and it just set it free back in the wilderness? Dude seems like a pathological liar.
He’s an animal lover! 😂
No that actually happend
Why do people blatantly lie when it’s obvious they have been drinking?
Because they’re drunk enough to believe they’re pulling off being sober.
Arresting Officer was very professional and kind to this guy.
The light switch is on but the bulbs are dim.
He has a bright future behind him
😂😂😂
@@thefrase7884 Love it!😅😅😅
😂😅😂
Top comment of the day👏👏
Wants to be a Marine and can't follow instructions and has tons of attitude with officers...good luck.. he'll end up a mall security guard on a Segway
😂
IF he's lucky....
Give security guards more respect. They do a hard job and don't act like this.
Paul Blart , mall cop?
Most real security companies don't want to hire people they know will be a liability.
Wouldn’t make it 90 seconds in boot camp for any part of the military with that attitude, but particularly the marines. If he manages to get in? He’ll find out.
Even the Navy, which I went into and is 10 times easier than the Marines.
Young buck reminds of that other f'd up kid who ran over a street light, had the whole thing on the roof, and asked if his newly purchased car was totalled.
that guy was xanned out of his mind...
I remember that one 😂
I remember that twit too.
Yup, I remember that interaction completely. The kid was drunk & on so much xanax he quite literally had no idea he had traffic lights/street signs on top of his totaled vehicle. Never seen anything like that, even the cop was perplexed by the entire scenario.
Yup crazy how you can have a nice, reliable car but throw it all away to drive impaired.
The poor Camry. That thing would've been good to him for years to come.
I crashed mine once 😂. Dumb female driver was trying to race and block me in. She was such a dumbass 😅
It’ll get sold at auction repaired and last someone deserving years
He was trying to DRIVE THAT THING HOME? 😂😂😂😂
He’s going into the Marines?!?!? He can’t follow directions so he won’t be in the Marines for long. Bless his heart😂.
Well, BAC of .22 makes it a tiny bit difficult to follow directions.😉😄
That Frankenstein one leg stand! 😂😂
That’s the perfect description! I laughed so hard!
“i didn’t drink tonight.. heh 😏” LMAOO
Can't is not in the Marine vocabulary. He will wash out week 1 with humiliation.
This guy is a perfect mama's boy. He doesn't seem like Marine material. He would never survive boot camp.
not a chance he becomes a Marine, seems more Space Force material.
He’s driving mom’s car. Hahaha!
@@tradingacademicsdefinitely a space cadet.
Bootcamp is way way easier these days. So all the women can pass.
Oh no
If “I’m fucked” had a face. How ya doin? I’m good! Crickets and shame overflowing everywhere.
That's the comment I was looking for! 😂
@@lindseymercuria3971 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
When he said you looked at me 2nd. Sounded like preschoolers do. That was so childish. He needs to grow up fast.
Young dumb Jake isn't ready to leave the nest yet.
It's back on your skateboard for you Jake.
He doesn’t know what medication he takes?
To be fair, drug names aren't the easiest things to remember.
He's a young guy, and probably not concerned with drug names. They cut out what he said after that point, so he was probably telling the cop what the medication was for, even though he didn't know the exact name.
I'm surprised the police didnt hire him on the spot.
I was about to say something very similar. He meets a lot, if not all of, the standards that some departments look for in their typical candidates. 😂
lmfao
Exactly. It’s jersey. They don’t prosecute dwi drivers.
Really enjoyed the ending; the kid is sober now and it's great that he might have found a mentor.
Haha! Jake is going to have a tough life. He's not the tough guy he thinks he is. He'll never survive boot camp. 😅
Let him spend a day in the hood I grew up in to make him rethink his whole life
"Im gonna be a marine" but..."I don't have balance to walk a straight line"
Well the hydrant didn't shear apart but his car sure did...
Rules for young adults:
1. Don’t drive drunk.
2. Don’t drive suspended.
3. Don’t act/be so dumb.
He'll never last in the military with that attitude. He's better suited for the fast food industry.
This young drunk needs to learn some tough life lessons.
This is so disappointing to just see the title😢. I hope he goes on to make better decisions
What an excellent and kind officer.
Sheltered much? Apron strings still attached?👶🏻
Nope, the umbilical cord. 😂
Yup, no way he'll survive half hour at boot camp with that attitude 😂 let alone become a marine 🙄 😅
*whining* I can't do that. (Wants to be a Marine.)
Even with aspirations of becoming a police officer, driving under the influence is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. Always stay sober and responsible while driving to protect yourself and others
“It’s not that hard to follow a pen” while failing miserably at following a pen
If following the pen seems like a trick you in serious trouble
🤣🤣🤣
Loving the content keep up the good work!! 👍🏾
Did he was going to join thr marines? He won't last a second..
He's a terrible liar.
Kid: “DONT FUCK ME”
Other officer: “WHAT DID I DO?!”
😂😂
He's only 19 he should be able to do everything!?
All these people with BAC’s of .2 and not seeming too too drunk is weird to me. Maybe people are drinking more these days. Idk. But .2 is high
people handle liquor completely differently. Also is a function of your baseline personality and how stupid/careless you are in general.. or intelligent/careful you are. An intelligent drunk at 0.30 BAC can pass all the 'mind' tests easily (counting backwards,.. say alphabet from F to P without singing it). The physical part can be harder. But then most people over the age of 35 cannot pass the physical (balance) part of an FST even if completely sober unless they in perfect shape.
He seemed drunk as hell
I can’t understand why he was begging them to do a breathalyzer instead of SFSTs… did he think he would be able to beat it somehow? 😅
It’s for sure high, but the person’s behavior has to do with their dependence to alcohol, age, height/weight etc. I’m 8 years sober, and once blew like a 0.38, which the hospital staff thought had to be a mistake, as they couldn’t even tell I was drunk. My dependence was so high, I could tolerate almost any amount of booze, it was truly insane I’m still alive as I have serious health issues from it ie: epilepsy & chronic gastroperesis among the other problems stemming from almost a decade of severe alcohol intake.
I used to work the Emergency Room 30 years ago as a nurse. I remember seeing on our bulletin board the results of blood alcohol test. It was over .40. Someone circled the results and wrote The Winner!
I love a wakey bakey and last nights drunks I’m laughing so hard right now.
At least you’re not driving! 😊
Used to be called Pie Eyed!
His birth was an account error.
Ha ha ha ha 😂that one leg stand was epic!
I have so much more respect for cops watching these videos. Im starting to understand why they be so pissed bout time they get to us look what they go through every day. I swear every time i see a cop im going to tell them thank you we're serving and protecting us. Cause this is crazy
Oh so they imagined the alcohol
Wtff

😅
His stance is hilarious
Thank you for the timestamp! Saw another comment calling it a “Frankenstein” stance but I was doing laundry so I wasn’t looking during that part. Much appreciated!
The deer story at the end is kind of crazy
What no suspension just interloc? What crazy state is this
"Remind me again, officer. Should I put my hands in my pockets or not?"
I'm wondering how that busted up car made it there from the hydrant.
This guy has no business being in any military branch, police, fire, or any other first responder position. I would be nervous to even ask him for fries.
2011 Camry is totaled
The deer story is sus. 😂
Was that at the beginning? I missed that somehow.
Nvm hadn’t gotten to that part yet lol.
You think he murdered someone then? 😀
@@LaceandArmour I mean the story seems off. Who has the tools at their house to stitch up a deer also who is strong enough to put a deer in the backseat of their car? 👀
yo i know this kid straight bozo
So many crazy people out there.
God, one of the biggest babies I've ever seen on one of these videos lol.
Jake, you'll be ok. But you can't drink. You have a brilliant future. The military might not be for you. Lots of drinking there but good luck. I'm wishing the best for you.
Name is Jake, Jake?, from State Farm😂.
You’re such a cornball! 😂 ❤
He didn’t drink?
Mmmoohhhkkaayy
The one leg I was dying.
😅😂😅 You were looking at me 2nd😅😂
You kooky men with your pissing contests! 😂 still love you though! ❤
if he wants to become a law enforcement officer, he should avoid alcohol. High stress/traumatic jobs don't mix with alcohol
Thank god someone with an obvious drink problem didn’t become a cop. You’d think someone with those aspirations would have a clue.
Ewwwww...the arrogance and the entitlement.
"I'm a boxer."
***2 minutes later***...."I can't balance"....
WAIT-HUH?????? The main thing REAL BOXERS need is balance. This video is funny and indicative of the lack of patience & respect this generation has. They have a lack of structure and they're combative more than they are reasonable. They seem to think the world revolves around them. I see this too much, a spoiled brat who has a temper tantrum and thinks they're special & important to everyone around them. Blahhh, blahhh, blahhh.
Lad has a sassy attitude!
The man who picked him up has a zipper that’s about to bust open 👀🤣
Looks like his wife’s jeans?…… 🫣
So when he pulls somebody over and they say I can't do it he's going to say oh okay You don't have to
I mean, I could see him being a mall cop...
It’s Jersey. They have the most lenient dwi laws in the country. He’ll get a traffic ticket and no record and he’ll be a cop .
Don't worry about it kid, there's plenty of videos out here that show cops being drunk off duty & on- duty (in uniform)
…….uuuuuhhhh what breaks in your brain to ask so if I like hit someone you’d arrest me and follow that with so there’s blood in my back seat😳maybe just check the backseat
Dude is a menace 😨😨 he seems like the kind of guy that's a big bully
He has a face only a mother could love. Why is dudes pants so tight 😮😮
He is most def on something. He betta stay off that ishhhh. Paranoid and acting like he has ROID RAGE. Calm down Lil Brother....
Not fit to work in the police!
Can I arrest him just because of his face? Because his face is irritating me.
Mama’s little punk.
Women can do infantry?
Hopefully this guy isn’t allowed to become a cop… not because he made a huge mistake driving under the influence BUT bc of his whole demeanour during the stop.. he’ already is showing signs of being power hungry…. “ do you know who I am?” Image him with a badge and actual power over other people!! On another point… I’m Canadian where the legal age to drink is mostly 18 some provinces 19 … I don’t get how Americans think… okay you’re 18 .. you can vote, we’ll give you a gun you can go to another country and fight in the army for us … BUT whoa hold on…. You’re not responsible enough to drink!!!
Tommy boy reference!! 31:17
I seriously can't understand cops obsession with FSTs. So many just no over and over and cops just keep saying do it.
They are gathering evidence. It's literally their job. Of course a drunk doesn't want to do them.
My name is Jake and I wear khaki pants
How many times does he have to say he doesn't want to do the test? Move it along
They are gathering evidence. It's not in their investigations best interest to stop doing fields simply because the drunk guy said he can't do this or that. Of course he doesn't want to, he's drunk.
best idea is simply not to drink and drive. It's not that most are impaired. On youtube you see 1% of the DUI bodycam arrests. Most DUIs are some average joe had 2-3 beers with a friend or gf over dinner, and forgot to turn signal on the way home and were pulled over. BAC is 0.10 or something, and off you go to the station with a DUI charge and license suspension. They don't delineate between the careless idiot drunk drivers on the road, and the average responsible citizen who got popped after 2-3 beers. Most people are much more "impaired" by messing with their phones or other distractions in the car. But.. a DUI is a DUI no matter if you are a killer on the road or just a responsbile citizen. So.. don't drink and drive.. not because you are impaired, but because if you get caught it's a pretty serious charge. 1st one is not the end of the world, but a 2nd one is.
Sounds like you got a DUI after you had "2 or 3" beers
peon?
😄😄😄
With how bad people are with balance while drunk, makes you wonder how drunk women in heels make it home at all they must just have better balance overall from practice wearing them sober or something.
It’s a skill we have! 😂
If someone tells you to arrest them and that they are unable to do a test, why are you pushing them to do it? Arrest him, and take him to the station and give him the breathalyzer. The cop makes me think he was on bullshit when he said he smelled alcohol. You asked him if he was on medication, and he said yes and didn't know what the medication was. At that point, the officer was just being a dick. 😂...Also, isn't he supposed to pour the alcohol out? Tf are you keeping it for?
They need to build up a case on how he was unable to operate a vehicle based on his intoxication. Whether alcohol or drugs. Take him to a station for breath test and it’s under 0.08 but he’s under the influence of drugs it’s still a OWI and the FST’s will provide evidence in court. If you want to be a police officer and take directions from the suspect and get people off from driving while impaired and be repeat offenders and potentially hurt somebody or worse, do us a favor and just don’t.
@ottobauch2179 they don't need to take instruction from him. They confirm a refusal, arrest him, and move the process along... how tf do you think it works? 😒...a "case"...it's a fucking DUI with a single car crash, it's a traffic infraction 🤣...stop watching court shows.
@niyaranerhe5849 No, it's not a traffic infraction. It's a criminal misdemeanor. The police officer was trying gather evidence with the FST so a DWI can stick in court. You have no idea what you are talking about.
Kind of an odd kid. He makes me nervous 😳
@JohnDoe14783 like I said a fucking infraction. And a breathalyzer sticks in court asshole... Do you know how many people refuse FSTs? They aren't mandatory, meaning they are not needed to make a DUI stick.
I'm not watching fields.
Friendly reminder to watch for a few mins and then move on, to hurt the algorithm.
The cop is patronizing. Disgusting
It’d be real hard not to be patronizing towards a drunk lunkhead with a 75 IQ.
some one has to say it.....might as well be me - Guy who picked him up after from Police Station - might want to check the zipper on his jeans................
Umm, why are you looking there? 😂 I didn’t see anything that particularly obvious.
Bright as a Supernova.
❤ NICE OFFICERS❤🥰❤
Good luck in the Marines with your lack of respect for authority and taking instructions!!! 🫡😧😅
Yep, won't last half an hour 😂😅
