Gosh they’re so young here! You still have yet to experience a full blown belting Jimmy - Wild Thing or You Got Nothin I want will show you this side of him!! Thanks for keeping up the Chisel!
Yes! Thank you so much for playing my request 😘💕 I'm glad you enjoyed it. That wasn't even one of Ian Moss's best solos in this song, but then, it was early days. And yes I do agree it's annoying not being able to see how they're playing and I'm not even a guitarist. But I was there, well, not that night, but when they came to my town. I feel so lucky to have experienced them live, as not many bands sound better than they do on record, they are one. 🥰
Cheap Wine was one of their most popular hit songs but do the Official video. Slower song Choirgirl very good. Also You Got Nothing I Want, was aimed at some US music executives who passed up on them, well that's the story I heard somewhere.
I'm with you 100% about the camera work on the guitar solos...especially with the good ones. Ian Moss is a great understated guitarist. You don't see too many bands with two great vocalists. One of the things i love about Cold Chisel.
Re watching guitar yes I agree. Love watching Joe Bonamassa play guitar, his fingers fly, his body movement becomes part of his playing. ‘Stone Cold’ Joe Bonamassa and JimmyBarnes who was in cold chisel ua-cam.com/video/IyXFHr5jylI/v-deo.html
An under appreciated song. There is an even longer live version by the way on the "Swingshift" album. Five minute harmonica intro before the song proper starts, played by David Blight, who nearly cut his hand off the other day but decided to play anyway. David Blight, on harmonicAH!
And if you don't mind a bit of good Melbourne punk check out the song Hertz by Amyl and the sniffers. Foo fighters just recently played a concert in Australia with them
THAT is how a Stratocaster should sound .....magic.
Gosh so young here. Jimmy is 65 now ( my age to) and still belting them out. In fact he isa a wonderful versatile singer.
So glad to see you react to this beautiful song. Thanks.
How good is Australian music. ❤🇦🇺
I hadn't heard that before! So good!
mature ballad or dirge
Saturday Night would be a great next Chisel song.
Very good song. I just wish it was not so short
Thank you so much for doing this song!

You Got Nothing I Want for sure!
Wild thing live is amazing
Yes, that's the best version of wild thing I have ever heard and I love the way Mossy mimics the girls screams on his guitar. Brilliant!

I see them in 1978 at the Bondi lifesaver , they were supporting The Angles. I was 18🔥
Nice !

About time someone reacted to this, this is a gem. A brilliant and underrated track.

Classic pub band in 1978
I agree with every word you said.
I hope you watch this again, completely .
Jimmy Barnes got invited to sing for van Halen. Would have been a unique twist in the band's sounds
