      Why is it that the eif cares/ effected by the pvc?

    • @troykane
      @troykane  Рік тому +1

      @@pipelinesalvatoregiordano4954 It effects manifold vacuum. The standard PCV will open and close cause a variation in manifold pressure. This effects the EFI. A fixed orfice make the manifold pressure stable.

    I'm going to install a HyperSpark on a 351C with an Air-Gap manifold. It looks like the HyperSpark will fit without problems. But good thing I checked. Holley seems to have 2 distributor housings for the 302. The short one that didn't fit is the "billet" style. It is currently sold in black. The part number for the billet is Part # 565-301BK. And the part number for the tall one that fits is Part # 565-301. Beware of Holley part numbers. The numbers may lead you to think the only difference is black or not black. But they are different housings. And both are billet anyway.

    Do you have any pics of how you wired up the switched hot wires under the dash…. And the wiring schematic, thanks,

      I don't. Just follow the instructions. make sure you have 12v key on and at crank. this is important. You can download the instructions off Holley's website. Good Luck

    So much information I need to watch and rewind segments over and over! From a big picture perspective after you install the EFI how much control do you have or want over the timing? To my understanding at that point all you can control is the so called base timing everything else is up to the computer. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

    • @troykane
      @troykane  2 роки тому

      The computor control the timing. You set the base timing. With a custom tune the timing adjustment can be fine tuned. Like curving a distributor in the old days. Thanks for the comment.

    How do you not need a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator?

    Hey Troy ..... where did you purchase the Closed Orifice PCV valve and does the hose connect into the throttle body (vs. the air cleaner) for constant vacuum?

    • @troykane
      @troykane  2 роки тому

      The PCV is common on late eighties to early nineties GM Trucks. I purchsed mine at NAPA. I connected it to the back of the Throttle body just like any PCV
