Yes sir. Only issue I've had is I had to readjust the butterflies as they were sticking when cold. I'm guessing the new "better throttle response linkage" was to fix this common problem. The CANbus connectors are a bit of a pain but I wish they would've stuck with it. I have it all set up with a Y-splitter to a laptop USB connector in my console. Sucks i'd have to change it all if I ever upgraded. I guess I could go the bluetooth module route and just use my phone instead of the 3.5" display and then bluetooth to my laptop as well.
@@Shantzonpoint yeah, same with lots of people buying the extended linkage to fix the stiff opening under vacuum.
My thoughts exactly, I wonder if they are going to offer a trade in trade up for the new unit. Especially since I had to send mine back twice for loose injector connections. Oh and I also purchased the $ throttle adapter.
That comes with every engineering. I’m glad they fixed these issues.
This video is great for when I do my Holley Sniper 2 install on Ford 429 big block. Can't wait to see how it performs!

If you bought it from summit they have a 90 day return.
Just picked up a rig with a sniper but the display is disabled. Can’t adjust the settings. If y’all can help lemme know.
Based on all the concerns gen 1 owners express and the lack of support to upgrade them to gen 2 the jury is out to purchase this system. It’s a shame Holley does not step up to support customers who support them.
Almost nothing is these days. When a new phone or car comes out you don't get an upgrade because you supported a company, you're stuck with the old model. It's just capitalism.
Is the ECU still potted in a jb weld type substance? Are the throttle shafts bushed and sealed now?
Hi, just installing a sniper 2, can I plumb the pcv valve into the front of the sniper 2 where the bung is, and also would it be better to run the ignition feed directly from the battery via a relay from the ignition to ensure a good 12volt supply
I have a 347 Stroker motor with a Weiand 174 Super Charger. I'm excited about the Sniper 2.
I have 3 questions:
1. The fuel system option offers a Universal Returnless Drop in Module, so would an EFI Fuel Tank Module PN's 12-305 or 12-375 work with 5/16 inlet (The MUSCLE CAR EFI MODULES;) then would you duel feed the Sniper or cap off one of fuel connections?
2. Page 18 and 19 of the Quick Start Guide show the wiring harness (PN 558-191, and 558-190)(non PDM harness, and PDM harness) using 14ga wire to power the fuel pump; What amperage is the circuit limited to?
3.What would be the wiring diagram for a Pertronix distributor on the PDM, and non PDM harness with a CD box?

I have a 1952 ford with no return spot on my fuel tank. Do you have to have a return line on the Sniper 2?
Can you run two together, with a 6/71 blower. Zoomie exhaust, so none of them come together, could only pick up one on the o2 sensor. Lastly would it work with the Holley efi standalone?
Y'all should definitely do a quick vid on how to replace/integrate factory computer controlled/fuel injection with this kind of system.
What kind of vehicle you working on? Im doing this now and depending on your car it might be alot easier than u think

Thank you for going into more detail on the tuning process. This is helpful for Gen 1 as well. Any plans on an upgrade program? Trade in your gen 1 for half off of gen 2? Also will the new bluetooth adapter work with the gen1 with a harness adapter?
No current plan for an upgrade program. Bluetooth module will first be available for Sniper 2, potentially Sniper 1 later.

I’ll come right out and say it, the Holley ProJection was just plain better. It had better instructions, and the controls were analogue. It just worked.
Can i run a holley sniper 2 without ignition timing control while having a locked out distributor ie 32 degrees of timing all the time ?
I've got a 64 f-100 with the original fuel tank that doesn't have a return line i read i can use the sending unit in the tank that mounts on top of the tank can i use my sending unit or should i buy a new one from holley.

Yes you still need a pressure regulator
Depends on which fuel cell pump module you select. We offer return and returnless versions. If you purchase a returnless module, a regulator is not required.
Does the 4500 have vacuum ports ?

I want to see the Xflow 1375 capabilities with Sniper 2 and e85 compatibility. This way on can take a non-LS and go four figure hp with boost and a simple system. For example...a 351w(or stroker) with aluminum heads and single plane, a Vortec 5700 or 7400, Ford 429/460, PSI 8.8/ Vortec 8.1, Mopar LA/Magnum, B or RB, Ford 240/300, Mopar Slant/Hemi six, AMC 4.0, 232/258, Gen 1/2/3 Hemi, Buick 300/340/350/400/430/455, Rover 215/4.0,4.2,4.6, Olds 350/400/425/455, Cad 429/477/500, AMC 304/360/390/401, Godzilla 6.8/7.3
Will this work with twin carb replacement
Great video. Stock 289 65 Mustang a friend wants to run this on, mechanical secondaries with an auto and 800 cfm sounds like a bad combination. Is this a problem that will create a bog from a stop? Stock gears. Any input appreciated.
What's the best CFM for this little engine with this combination?
The cfm with fuel injection is not a problem with fuel injection because its forcibly injecting the fuel where carburetor it does matter because you need a metering signal ie air speed for the carburetor to work properly
@@cmkmd Thanks for the input. I see what you mean on the fuel side but would think velocity would drop to little or nothing creating the bog.
600 to 650 would be more than enough for this engine I would've thought.
@@cmkmd exactly! .. That's why it runs 60 PSI for fuel.

Does the EFI 2 work on a 1993 c1500 5.7?
Any carb style intake in an SBC.
When you select system type there is no sniper 2 option so idk why everything keeps saying that.
Checked everything over and everything looks good fired right up but tries to idle at 2000 rpm then 6 or so seconds later dies??

Sniper 2 EFI is designed to fit 4150 flange intake manifolds. If that is what you currently run, then yes!
I just bought mine and there was no option for the 5 inch screen or the wireless
They released the S2, before the fancy options were available, they might be out by now? (mid June 2024) Anyone know for sure?

I need something I can put in a 78 t-bird with a 351w factory 2 barrelfor a 80 year old guy. I want him to get in turn the key and drive.

Sniper 2 EFI supports up to 650hp naturally aspirated or 575hp on boost with four 100 lb/hr injectors

You can still retain your current MSD distributor.

Going by the video you can run the msd distributor but it will not control timing which is a blow to me as I run the full msd including the 6 AL box to control timing on my sniper 1 . @@rcmafia4990

E85 support is not currently supported with Sniper 2

FYI: I talked to Holley today and was informed that the Sniper 2 IS NOT compatible with a DRAW thru supercharger. PUSH thru- yes. So my Weiand 174 supercharger won't work. This is nowhere in the Sniper 2 information.

Sold mine after years of frustration! and was told I needed to add a lot of extra grounds and shielding for the wires. Mine was in a 4 speed and was told not to engine brake as it confuses the computer and would either die when you push in the clutch or lose iac counts and take off.

Yes, Gen 1 had issues, just like Terminator X. We had our tuner turn everything off once we got it to where it needed to be. We blew out 3 O2 sensors because of over fueling. I think this version should work very well, but long overdue.

I just received my Sniper 2 upgrade kit (after investing almost $3000 Canadian on a total failure and struggle with a Sniper for the past two years (in for a penny, in for a pound) and the thing arrived (direct from Holley) with no fittings for the fuel pressure regulator and now I see in this video that it needs a pressure gauge on the regulator? Really?!?
A lot of people just use their shop gauge for setup, and don't run a fuel pressure gauge constantly.
@@MikeBaxterABC I was told by a Holley Tech that one of the first things you should check when looking into running issues is fuel pressure so I need to know what it is at all times.
