The forbidden strawberry milk! Delicious looking banh mi! My favourite snack was banana sandwiches. I insisted my mum slice the banana on the buttered bread, never mash it. Then I'd squish it all together lol

My husband has been really enjoying wraps, so I have tortillas on hand, and he has recently gotten over the dislike of peanut butter from having it daily for years as a kid, to actually liking it again. My after school snack was a “bubbly cheese”. You take a piece of white bread and put a slice of american cheese on top, then you put that into the toaster oven to toast. The top of the cheese browns and bubbles up, leaving molten american cheese in the middle. Contrasts nicely with the crunchy edges of the toasted bread. Very good!!
my most common after school snack was chicken flavor top ramen. I would crunch the noodles into bits before cooking and then when it was finished I would put a handful of cheez-its on top and eat it with a spoon. Still gives me nostalgia.
Ya'll are the best, absolutely love the content you put out ☺️ Most of my go to after school snacks were different frozen foods, i.e. pizza rolls, mini pacakes etc... I also loved Ketchup sandwiches, literally white bread and Ketchup 😅

First drinks were gold drivers(tequila n oj) in a bar but before the age we got pints of vodka or black velvet and a case of oly’s(reading the caps were fun). Now it’s whiskey rocks…mostly🤓. Favorite after school snack was Onigiri using the left over rice from breakfast, stuffed with a little Katsuobushi (shaved Bonito flakes) and soy sauce in the middle. Yum!
Also!! I aspire to love Banh Mi’s so so so much… but I have that cilantro gene where… it just isn’t my fave 😭. Anyone have any suggestions for cilantro substitutes in a banh mi? Or suggestions on how to train yourself to love cilantro? Lol
Omg y’all are the absolute best and I say this every Friday 🤣 my favorite after school snack is a tough one because I got off the bus at my grandmas and she was usually starting dinner when I got there and she didn’t really want me to snack a lot before dinner. But, I do remember eating a whole lot of Chef Boyardee ravioli and Maruchan ramen noodles with shredded cheese!
To answer your question, I was bullied at school, so I didn't bother trying to eat anything at lunch in junior high, so when I came home, I would make a liter and a half of chocolate SlimFast shake from powder, and start baking cookies the size of my face for the next hour and a half to destress, before usually making supper for my family. My mom was so happy when I started taking over the suppers because she hated cooking, and I hated doing dishes, which was a calming activity for her. So I cooked, she cleaned up, and we all ate pretty well, in a Midwestern kind of way. Then onto five to eight hours of homework, and repeat.
My little guy hides like Gus from the sizzle. He's figured out over the years which pans the sizzle happens in & he watches me open the cabinet & if a sizzle pan comes out, he's off to another room.😂 You guys are so much fun to watch.

My after school snack was either ramen noodles or my 'invention' of frozen peas microwaved with hot sauce and butter (buffalo peas! although Tapatio was the hot sauce we usually had growing up)

Whenever I got home from school as a kid, I loved eating a whole banana wrapped in a peanut buttered tortilla.
