Mine didn´t work for some reason. Particles keep falling off the ground layer, and the container duplicate. I don´t know why. I´m gonna try a different approach, one that I create a sphere, converted to polygons with the bottom poligons cut and with a cloth surface for thickness, then duplicate the ground and make it a colider body and see if it´s going to work. But so far, no succes lol.

Little mistake in that. Never close a spline that will be used in a lathe like this - it should be open along the lathe axis so you don't create erroring geometry. Also, if you use discs instead of platonics for flakes; not only is that much less polys, but you can also make them react to 2-sided aerodynamics rather like snow does ! But 2 small points in an otherwise excellent and very clear tutorial :)
my snow doesn't floating the same as yours, it just floating as a group and that look not realistic. how I can fix this? I thy switching a lots of setting but it still doesn't work the same as your snow. Thank you.

Hi, I am pretty new beginner for Cionema 4D. I really loved this video. Can you tell me how to add objects inside of snow globe? Please let me know!!!
Great question Scarlett! Thanks for great job
No worries Stan, Merry Christmas!
Really curious - why do you separate out meshes into collider bodies as opposed to just putting a collider body tag on the globe for instance?
You get more control keeping things separate and you can stop intersecting
Ah I'm so glad you asked this question and Dave answered. Had me very puzzled!

Hello, great tutorial! How did you create the textures? (:
Great tutorial! Can anyone explain to me why my snowflakes don't scatter as nicely as this, they go up and kind of rotate in a uniform disc shape (like on the surface) and then come back down and bounce slightly?

Hi. I have some problems . When I rotate fast my globe . Some Clone fall down. And collider can't holde all Clone objects. I don't know what to do .?
Try increasing the substeps in your dynamics settings
Awesome work. how can I do make thata my render look like your ? when I zoom out the camera the render goes blur in the middle.
I use Octane to render all of my stuff as in my opinion it's the fastest (and easiest) renderer available. It does require the correct NVidia GPU setup though if it's something you wanted to look into. You can find more information here: home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/ and if you go down that path we have training for Octane on our website here: cgshortcuts.com/courses/the-octane-materials-masterclass/ We also hope to do more rendering tutorials soon! Hii the snowflakes aren't getting contained within the container for me although I followed the exact steps.. what could have caused that?

What about the lighting? And rendering?
Hi Djordje, I do all my renders in Octane, all the render ready tutorial project files complete with lighting and materials can be downloaded from our Patreon page if you need them www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts Thanks for watching!
@@CGShortcuts we don't want to download an existing file, we wanna create ourself, but with tutorial just in case))
I'm also having problems that snow falling through when applying collider body tag.
@heelix908 Thanks, that is working for me.
I have the same problem, if I increase the platonic shape size from 1 to 10 this problem solved. But I cant solve that in small size.
@heelix908 Thank you, I have the same problem, you are my hero today ♥
The collider body tag doesn't work for me, the snow flakes still shoot up and out of the container layer. Are there settings in the collider tag that I'm missing?

hi, this is my first tutorial using CInema 4D and it really helps, good explaination. I wanna ask, how do i do the materials? i don't really know since this is my first time . Thank you!

I dont go through the process in my tutorials (as it's often the same steps each time). However, if you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our Patreon page here: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts or our website cgshortcuts.com/product-category/template-project-files/
We also hope to do more indepth courses and tutorials about lighting and rendering soon;) Thanks for watching!
@@CGShortcuts understood! thank you so much for the explaination! really helpful!
But so far, no succes lol.

i also use c4d r20 is there a way to achieve cloth surface generator, sir???
Yep, it's in r20 as well, under the cloth menu I think;)
Simulate/ Cloth / Cloth Surface - R20
Little mistake in that. Never close a spline that will be used in a lathe like this - it should be open along the lathe axis so you don't create erroring geometry. Also, if you use discs instead of platonics for flakes; not only is that much less polys, but you can also make them react to 2-sided aerodynamics rather like snow does ! But 2 small points in an otherwise excellent and very clear tutorial :)
Like anything in 3D, there's many ways of doing things. Do what works for you
I have a problem recording my sale as the recording points are blocked
huh?
Nice dear, but I have a simple question, can I know the music that you use in the introduction
It's something from the UA-cam music library;)
@@CGShortcuts thanks bro
a cloth surface is missing on my C4d, any solution on how to get it? Thank you.
if anyone having the same issue like me. this option is in the Simulate option.
In older versions of C4d: go to Simulate (on top tab menu) --> Cloth --> Cloth Surface
why is my snow landing together? like they are not falling separately
Same issue here can’t figure out why
my snow doesn't floating the same as yours, it just floating as a group and that look not realistic. how I can fix this? I thy switching a lots of setting but it still doesn't work the same as your snow.
Thank you.

Try in the Simulate > Cloth > Cloth Surface
