yes. I changed it to dual stick ram and it affected my computer. I've also tested it with randering a HD video.

I think so if you only have 1 ram slot. Because on the HP website it is also written that the max Ram per slot is up to 16GB

My laptop says it has 2 slots for ram, I bought a 4GB ram to install it and I found out the laptop is lacking the part where you're supposed to put the 2nd slot ram. It's like it had been taken out

Then just buy 1 single 8gb ram slot to put in the working 1st slot so that way you don’t have to put 2

Crucials website says this is compatible with the listed model. I just ordered one for my wife’s laptop as well as 16gb ram stick hopefully it will be a bit quicker
