- Yes we are getting there with the Amazon restoration! Primer is so close!
This car has asked everything from me. I am buiding this car in a way that some might call overkill on a car maybe worth 20k when she is done. but this has been a dream car for so long. I couldn't take the fact that i bought it and stil, it is amazing to own my dreamcar.
Thank you all so much for following this 1969 Volvo amazon build this far. i'm aiming on 1st of January to have her done.

There is a weird spot in the video, This is because my editing software has some problems. All transistions were messed up. then my pc crashed and i bought a new one thinking that was the problem. Nope. Still problems editing and especialy rendering finished video's. Sorry! Trying to fix this problem for the next one.

Restotation like this is way better then destroing 240! It will be so cool after fresh paint!
What do you mean destroying 240? Are you talking about my 245 project?
Good job! I continue to enjoy following your progress, as I am doing the same work on my Amazon. My RF fender rust repairs are complete and that fender is back on the body. I did some welding on the front of the LF fender today, ended the day by smearing a coat of Bondo over my newly welded panel. Tomorrow I'll sand it smooth and spray on some primer from a spray can. I'm using Rustoleum "Rusty Metal Primer" to cover the remaining surface rust on the back of my fender after wire brushing most of it away. I'm hoping that will seal in the little specks of rust and it won't spread.

You have to media blast every little rust por in the sheet metal where ever it might be, especially the edges on the front piece meeting the edges af the fenders before any paint, otherwise the rust will guaranted be back again sooner or later!!!

Trust me, every single spot of rust will be gone before primer goes on the metal. Media blasting a complete car is nice but costs more than my full driving volvo 244 costed me. I have much experience in prepping metal of Boats so this is not a problem 😁👍

@@RollinHeritage.S. I have a friend that media blasted an entire empty Mustang body himself outside his hobby shop, summertime of course, and it went very, very well....
He reused the media so it was very, very cheap...
@@conceptalfa that is nice! I gave a glass blasting cabinet in my shop but i can't work outside. So the shop is the only room i have sadly..
