  • My 1969 volvo amazon had a bad head. While that is at the shop we are going to weld and paint the complete car!
This car has been bought by me on the 20th of april 2022 and has been driven half a year as a daily. That was around 13.000 kilometers.
The engine will be back soon so we need to start fixing the rust problems on the car!

Excellent vid buddy, love the Amazon Volvo's. I had a 122s Automatic (1966).
I purchased the car in 1980 and enjoyed it for a few years before I fell upon hard times and I had to sell it 😢.

This is awesome, since you can use it on any project whatever car, it shows how to fix correct the rust spots to make it a better car whichever one it may be.

On my blue Amazon Sedan '69 the lower left A pillar was completely gone, I was lucky to find another one on a local junkyard, although only about the upper half was in good condition, the lower one I had to fabricated myself which was not that difficult, but placing it than correctly so the door gaps were even was a hell of a job, I think I had the door on and off maybe at least 12 times before I was satisfied, and was all about moving the A pillar 1-2 millimeters, tuck it in place , on with the door, check the gaps and so on, and so on....

Nice work! As you said sometimes you can't get new panels but I think you did an amazing work with that spear metal sheet you had!

Thank you for this nice comment! i do my best to make my own panels. Replacement's you can buy often don't have very nice quality. So if it's not too hard and time consuming to make i like to do it myself 🙂

Hi, go to Simpson's Classics, a YT channel, where another Amazon is having these exact rust patches cut out and rebuilt. I bet you know about this channel already but just in case you don't, check it out. The majority of the body and the interior seems in pretty good condition. They are lovely cars when restored.
