The truck in this episode was bought new for my family’s company, Arkansas Machine Specialty and Truck Repair Company in 1947. It served the Hope, Arkansas company until it was sold in the 1970’s. Imagine my surprise to see the truck being rescued in East Texas. I enjoyed driving that truck in the 1960’s and 1970’s. When I saw the Dodge tail gate with the Arkansas tag it instantly grabbed my attention!
Yes, I recognize the last name. I was checking on the history of the truck and logo and found where your grandfather Ernest O’Neal founded the shop in Hope Arkansas around 1928. I searched a little deeper and seen the name Powell. Hope you stay tuned
It would be even cooler loyd if it was left all origional includeing moter and tranny it gas tons of character nothing like the scrap there pumping out today
Guys, I have watched a lot of your rescues and this one seems to be really special. Sometimes when you do something great like this, the owner will realize just how nice this old truck is and they will never part with it. Sometimes they will discover just what a fine God loving family you all are and will enjoy watching you all bring this old girl back to life. No matter what happens, I hope that someone will bring her back to life. God Bless your entire family and please, keep on doing what you do.
As someone who lives in the UK these old American trucks are a delight to my eyes. By trade I am a welder fabricator and my dream is to restore and own one of these old trucks. Good video and have a good day.
My buddy had a 1949 International PU and I am here to tell you that is a tank. The body is heavy sheet metal. The cab is huge. You double clutch, as I remember. Huge split rim tires. The more weight you have in the box the better it drives...It is a great truck and a fun drive.
Finding these vintage trucks buried is like finding raw treasure. I am so glad there are those who find these. A work of love to restore. Amazon car hop trays.
Awesome video! I just finished restoring a 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo. I worked on it for about a year. I use a cool prgram on my computer called Automotive Wolf car maintenance software to track all the parts and expenses so I know exactly what I have invested in it. I have about 6K in it now and plan to sell it for 12K after paint. Thanks for the great video
These old Internationals are great looking truck. My neighbor bought a 47 flatbed International a few years back. My dad, who was in his 90's said " top speed of those old trucks, when new was 45mph, down hill with a strong tail wind pushing." 😝
Looking forward to this video. Love the restored channel. One of the few I can’t wait for new vids to come along . And the Love of the Lord makes it even better.
Yes in deed this chanel is very family friendly, and we can watch live knowing we don't have to hold the remote control in case any words come out that the kids shouldn't hear, God bless you guys LETS GO BRANDON

the first time I saw the car sitting under a tree, the condition was very apprehensive. but after being reconditioned and restored, wow, the results are truly amazing...
I have an old KB3 in this similar rusted out green. These old trucks have a special place in my heart. Nice seeing the old girl getting some love and sunlight :)
Looking forward to the video, I am fond of the IH trucks, I will definitely follow this video...the signage on the driver's door was cool!!! God Bless!!!
My uncle used one on a farm south of Denver for years. His daughters called it the "Nose Cone" because of the way the front end looks. It was the first vehicle I ever drove.
My first vehicle after getting my drivers license was a 1950 GMC pickup, that was in 1973. Paid $300 for it, immaculate and ran great. What I wouldn't give to have that truck today.
It's wonderful to see the cooperation among generations. I really feel like the dad man is just really supportive, but also looking to your input. You might actually have what is considered a functional family. ;)
This one really wants to live indeed. Good job guys, can't wait for this one to see that flat head's first run after years, i bet it will run easy if everything is ok inside, stuck valves, dirty points maybe thats all. Crocs saved the day too ...
I love watching you guys save those old vehicles but always wondered why you don’t brush off all the sticks and junk out where you pick them up rather than take it to the yard and then clean it. Keep up the good work guys. I’ll keep watching.
I love you guys my step dad used to watch it all the time he passed away and now I took over his let's keep his business and over 120 classic cars if y'all want to come down and sticks in Tennessee though we have a lot of cars that you might like
Looking forward to seeing more about this old truck. Pretty decent condition it seems to be in considering where it was and how long it looks to've been in that spot (since the early 90s in the least I'd say). I'm kinda hoping the owners will either let you guys buy it or be willing to let y'all get it running and somewhat drivable.

It never ceases to amaze me what some folks will give away just to get you guys to come trim their trees, and bush hog their overgrown properties.
It was actually our idea and offer, we appreciate the opportunity of them allowing us. Thanks for watching

Either that or people won’t sell a vehicle that’s been sitting for 30 years…because they’re “going to get around to restoring it one day”…

Wouldn't hurt to check all of the mechanicals (rubber seals, fan belts, etc.Better be safe, right?).
A tidy up and a service,and you're away.
I realy hope they dont screw the truck up by removeing the flathead
And putting In 400 hours gas hog ..leave it bone stock

Glad to see you guys back.
Such a cool looking little truck. Can't wait to see it running.
Almost 76 years, this 4 wheel vehicle is inoperative, kindly rescue, and keep it in a protected area 😀 😄

so very good
This is one of my all time favorites. My family had a new 48 KB1. Dad said it was slow. But tough as nails.
Let me point out a few items of excellence: Camera angles and shot set-up, music, editing, sound, all just TOP NOTCH!
Nice bones there. Reminds me of my old 52 IH REAL trucks.
I learned to drive on my aunt’s farm. 49 IH truck. I loved that truck. Someday I’d like to get one just like it.
I love you guys my step dad used to watch it all the time he passed away and now I took over his let's keep his business and over 120 classic cars if y'all want to come down and sticks in Tennessee though we have a lot of cars that you might like

That's the most beautiful patina I've ever seen on a barn find!!!
It's okay. It'll buff out! Seriously, a nice looking 46 truck!!
Love those old Internationals! Tough old trucks. Looks like you got a fairly solid rig. Anxious to see it run and cleaned up!
I like this truck ! I hope the owners let you work on it !
I love Internationals. Any year, any type, any size.
Great that you are saving this !!
Love it.
Too bad you can't levitate it to the shop
I will never understand why people leave these old trucks out to get destroyed by nature. Refusing to sell, but it's ok to let it just rot away.
