Congrats on your new home! Looks amazing. One suggestion for upcoming videos: it would be great if you could subtitle the designer’s names when you mention them so we can educate ourselves 😊 Good luck on your hunting ✨
such a beautiful place - can't wait to see how the traditional details and your modernist ethos come together! also dying to know what the bathroom looks like honestly lol
re 3:30 - authentic materials - I had a similar situation in my apartment bathroom, and I put down 'rubber stud' flooring, or garage rubber flooring. It comes in a roll (or tiles) and is very easy to cut to size. Its heavy and thick so you don't need an adhesive or anything. I think it's really quite a beautiful material.
Wow oh wow, I love the pendant. It's impossible to break through the Noguchi/Nelson light dilemma but Oi Soi Oi breaks through with this classicist but contemporary silk pendant. Love it!
For the shallow shelves on the balcony I'd use them to display picture art, obviously it has to withstand a bit of weather but anything like reliefs, ceramic art, decorative plates, woodcuts, anything flat like that. Also could be a spot for candles
wow love! i feel like we can get a much better sense for your design philosophy when it's applied to your own space. can't wait to see how it evolves :)
Rubber dot flooring in the kitchen 🙌 maybe a full wall of powder coated metal trellis over the balcony alcoves, with a large climbing plant to conceal them. It’s a beautiful apartment ❤️
That blue is the same color as painters tape. Whenever people use that blue or green for trim and accents it drives me insane 😂. Can’t wait to see how you fix it!
I would put candles in those shelves outside. Little decor, candle, some art, and thats it. A good pendant light would be amazing there, hanging really low at the center of the table that you want to put. For the closet, you could actually put some wallpaper over it, I dont know if you are into that, but theres a huge trend of murals going around, just like Jeremiah Brent's house, that they have in they're bedroom, so I think something like that coud work very well. This place looks amazing, and the architectural details are to die for ♥
A typical scandi old (most expensive) apartment. Nice high ceilings, gorgeous cornices, proper radiators and french window leading onto the balcony. Pipework being exposed is normal. True scandis always have their dining table in front of the window. Lovely big courtyard. Leave the kitchen cupboard and wardrobe alone!!!! 😅. Cant wait to see how you decorate the flat 😅😅🇬🇧
Your new space is beautiful, and I really enjoyed your explanations of your feelings of the space and design choices…so much so I watched every minute, which is unusual for me. I can’t wait to see the evolution.
What a gorgeous house! Can't wait to watch all your projects. A little advice from experience: don't burn candles on those balcony shelves, because it will ruin the shelve above it. But an outdoor space like that, does ask for some cosy lights. I would put succulents on the shelves, or find a rectangular pot that fits herbs next to each other. Maybe store your outside candle there to put on the table when you need it, with a nice match box. A photo of some outdoor space you love.
For the shelves, I'd put things that would normally go in a garage, but dressed up. For example tools, but in wooden or metal boxes. Candles, which would be nice to display, and also light in the evening on the balcony; or some rechargeable lanterns. Dedicate a couple shelves for "potter's storage", and even install a wider wood shelf on top of one of the lower shelves, to extend it into a potter's work surface (then use the shelf above that, for the pots and gardening accoutrement. Maybe a way to contain one of the shelves for some of your drinkware, so you don't have to carry glasses out if wanting to wine and dine on the balcony. Citronella candles and incense (don't know if mosquitos are an issue there). Bug sprays and cleaning supplies that can be hidden maybe in a shallow cabinet placed on one of the shelves. Or maybe you can store small items there that don't need to be indoors, and just put roll down shades over each side.
I also love the architectural details of your new place. I know you've done a video already on furnishing more architecturally bland spaces, but I was curious if you have any thoughts about adding architectural details to contemporary "white box" houses without seeming inauthentic.
so excited to see this come together! im moving into my own new apartment on sunday and have been planning it out for like 6 months now. the slow process is something that brings me so much joy even though i cant really afford more than second hand finds and ikea- yet im grateful i can afford these things at all as a college student. i love how your apartment looks already! in terms of the wardrobe, curtains could be nice as a temporary fix. if the room was bigger id think of track curtains that cover both the wardrobe and the windows but that might feel womb-like 🤣 i wonder if you could add a more traditional element with the new doors or a textural component. i love that pendant in the living room by the way!
I'm so excited, never clicked a video so fast! The place looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see your vision for it coming true! Congratulations to you and your partner! 🖤
I think mirror in the bedroom nook would be great to bounce light back down the hallway and would help make the space feel bigger. Love, love, LOVE the space and cannot wait to see what you do with it!
Cool , I live in london in the Barbican and love your aesthetic , just wanted to say I have a galley kitchen and plenty of drawers much the same format as yours and I made to decision to remove the over head shelving on one side to open the space , it works beautifully. I really look forward to seeing the evolution of your new home .
I'm SO excited to see what you do with the flat! It's amazing to see someone with midcentury taste decorating a classic Danish apartment - a rented one, no less - I'm in a similar situation and need some ideas! I also want to cover the yellow-toned wood of my kitchen floor, and I even have the same weird corner in my bedroom I wish I could fast-forward half a year from now to see the results!
I would move the closet to the worst side of the room (even if this comes with the cost of fixing the little untreated spot on the floor). I'd keep the closet doors, but I would change the glass fronts with thin plywood (you can always change them up later- it's a little work but I think its worth it). I would then put the bed in the most dominant position, add cool wall sconces, curtains and a rug. Lots of love from Greece.
it's SO GOOD!!! So you. You should start a merch with authentic materials written on it lol can't wait to see the updates. Also, the window above the sink: so good. Hot take: I like the blue frame outdoors. You can lean into a more Mediterranean decor out there (Big Olive tree, cactus, big terracotta . On the shelving, I see different sort of vintage tiles on display (portuguese/spanish style), check out the Design Note: Inside Carolina Irvings Coastal for Inspo. I'd definitely do a open shelving situation in the kitchen to display your ceramics! Also, I'm curious about the bathroom! Thank you for sharing your home with us :)
Forbo does really nice lino/marmoleum flooring you could use in the kitchen. They have a new collection with cocoa bits (waste from chocolate production) in it. It's so beautiful. But their simple plain linos are also very nice. If the shelf on the balcony is not getting sun on it, maybe you could have some bottles with drinks on there. So you bring yourself a glass with an ice cube and just pick a bottle with a delicious drink to poor over it when you sit out there. A few plants would probably be nice too though. Some beautiful ceramic pieces, maybe even lean a small picture/art piece on there? I quite like it when it starts to look a bit weathered after a while. I think the way forward is to just treat it like an indoor space. Looks like it is sheltered from the rain, right? Love your new flat btw! Can't wait to see what you are going to do.
god i am SO invested in this. Can't wait to see how you handle those insanely big, white, daunting walls (a similar issue Im dealing with :S). Very curious by that stack of framed art in the living room, would love to see your art collection >.>
Congratulations on your new space!! My Copenhagen apartment has this exact layout. It would be super interesting to see which different ways you've been thinking about utilizing the space.
I’ve never been so early!! I was just searching for your channel to watch some of your videos and this popped up. The place already looks so crisp and chic before you’ve even fully unpacked. Thanks for sharing your space with us!
Hi Noah - I am truly so taken by your style and how you deliver your design philosophy! I’d so love to have you look at my space in a future interior design advice video because it’s feeling so stuck. Where/when do you typically post about upcoming videos?
So excited for this new series, the apartment is stunning and I can't wait to see how you're gonna furnish and decorate it ✨ Also my grandma has a full set of Aldo Jacober chairs in breech wood, but I had no idea it was a designer piece! Now that I know, it'a shame that they stay in the storage room and are only used when extra seats are needed! So it's fascinating how a piece of furniture can be perceived as something ordinary or as something special and unique
Just found your channel, and had to pause to say, with the balcony shelves, I would either put in slightly wider shelver or take them out and create a vertical garden inside of those two slots.
Your new home has fabulous features. mainly so clean and fresh. What about a bowl of green apples and limes or just limes ( the color is so vibrant - maybe not for you?} in the corner under the kitchen cabinet? Enjoy decorating your new space!
I love this so much. Kinda makes me want to live in Copenhagen..you just don’t see these apartments in the US. As for the shelves on the balcony, maybe filling it with big vine-like plants so they eventually hang down, kinda turn it into a plant wall???
Hola from Colombia!! I love your videos, thank you for sharing so much information 🙏, I do feel a resonance ✨with your esthetic language. Here is an idea for the thing shelving, you can put a combination of plants, books, and eclectic coffee/tea cups 🍵📚🪴
For the outdoor space, I would use the shelves to display some sculptures or pictures of family or friends. Use frame that has plastic not glass so the photo won’t stick. Add a bistro table and maybe some tall plants. You can also lay some artificial grass. This will make if so nice just to either have dinner or drinks to chill. Oh make sure you get some fake candles with timers.
Love everything about this! I'm really curious to see how you'll style the dining table. I'm also in the process of changing mine (we have a lot of furniture "inherited" from previous tenants that I want to change) and just bough two teak Danish chairs very similar to yours. The mismatched chairs situation is super appealing because you can frequently find great deals for one or two chair instead of a full set but I find it so hard to match them + the table in terms of wood tones, shape, etc. So I'll definitely pull a lot of inspiration from you. If you could do a video about that it would be amazing!
What if you took the doors off the bedroom closet and put the head of you bed inside. Then you can find a freestanding closet option. To deal with the floor differences, use a nice rug under the bed.
Love love love that we get to see the early stages of designing a space while you live there. That everything isn’t gonna be perfect from day one, because interior design takes time! And hearing your plans for the space reminded me of a project that I’ve neglected for the past six months because I’m so inexperienced when it comes to home renovating 😅 gotta get back on that! Keep up the good work!
Lovely! But sad becouse without the open space u don’t need no room divider (separè) 😢 and I’m kinda obsessed with it now. What about adding one in the living room that goes along with the plants?

Still, it is the right decision - I hope the couch fabric is a similar to the chocolate color of your jumper!); your landlord's permanent positioning of the bedroom cabinet is BLOODY CRIMINAL, it locks the bed placement into one of the worst positions for feng shui (a fix could be to flip the layout 180degrees, move the cabinet to the opposite wall, even out the flooring under the bed with something temporary just so the bed isn't off kilter, and then lay down a rug semi-under the bed to hide the different flooring). Please, for all our sakes, do vlog your updates of the apartment. I can't wait for the next installment :)

Could you remove the shelves (and store them) to use the space as a double alcove? Or perhaps put brackets underneath and extend the shelves out further? The last idea might not float everyone's boat but it's food for thought. 😅 I really appreciate your thoughtful commentary throughout the video, rather than just showing us the space. Eagerly awaiting future episodes! 🤓😀
Love love love… beautiful proportions… and light… the outdoor shelves… maybe remove some and extend others out into the space… would semicircular extensions be too much? They could then become a vertical garden…
I would watch movies on a projector over the blinds in the bedroom. Cool kitchen. I 100% love the sink under the window. So cool. What are your winters like? Snow?
🤔 if it was my balcony, I think I would paint the walls off white, the trim Black, and the door mauve. The shelves would hold a collection of pottery and cool planting supplies for the balcony garden.
Love this episode! I am moving in to a very similar place on sept 1, so this is so inspiring to see! If you don't intend to keep the leather chair, I'll happily buy it from you :))
What a gorgeous apartment! So much nicer than the one by the cemetery!! You square 1 is goals on so many levels already. Does Brooklinen ship to Europe btw? I’m in Barcelona.
An architect showing his chairs is like a little kid talking about his favorite dinosaurs. ❤️
Congrats on your new home! Looks amazing. One suggestion for upcoming videos: it would be great if you could subtitle the designer’s names when you mention them so we can educate ourselves 😊 Good luck on your hunting ✨

Noah is the Mr. Rogers of interior 💕

agree! take the doors off entirely and hang curtains
I love the light fixture in the living room, such a handsome design haha

A lovely collection of glass bottles propagating your plant cuttings!
thanks for sharing the whole “before” (and your thoughts) rather than "after" only, now I'm fully prepared for the "after"!
wow love! i feel like we can get a much better sense for your design philosophy when it's applied to your own space. can't wait to see how it evolves :)
UUUUUGH THAT PENDANT SHADE!!!! Stunning. Gorgeous. What a find. Ties the whole space together with a simple elegance. All hail the pendant 🙌
Rubber dot flooring in the kitchen 🙌 maybe a full wall of powder coated metal trellis over the balcony alcoves, with a large climbing plant to conceal them. It’s a beautiful apartment ❤️

A part of my brain loves the tree shadow on the closet- it’s like bad tastes in a cute way? Kinda early 00s ikea and it makes me feel cozy
The pendant in the living room is gorgeous!
I also love the architectural details of your new place. I know you've done a video already on furnishing more architecturally bland spaces, but I was curious if you have any thoughts about adding architectural details to contemporary "white box" houses without seeming inauthentic.
You can really see on your face how happy you are and love this new space! Congratulations, can’t wait for the decorating content!
The silk feature in the living space is perfect for your space and marries the architecture and modern furniture. Bravo. Beautiful

So excited for your new place! I’d definitely do potted herbs on those narrow shelves on the balcony. All in aged terracotta pots, naturally. 😉
Ooh and strawberries

Nice place ! I love your black leather armchair in the living room. Makes me think about Charlotte Perriand’s LC7 for Le Corbusier.
Very beautiful old apartment. It’s amazing, how you two have managed to organise your belongings so fast. I would still be living out of the boxes.
My favorite youtube chanel eveeeeer! Thank you for sharing your talent, beijos s2

The Danisch Vietnamese lighting brand mentioned in this video is: Oi Soi Oi
It's so refreshing to see a blank slate. So happy you don't have any complaints.
Love the light in your apartment and your very cool chairs.
i actually kind of love the light fixture on your patio
I am enjoying vicarious excitement for you and your new home. A subtle jewel of beauty and pleasure and year 'round comfort. Tillykke!
Hola from Colombia!! I love your videos, thank you for sharing so much information 🙏, I do feel a resonance ✨with your esthetic language.
Here is an idea for the thing shelving, you can put a combination of plants, books, and eclectic coffee/tea cups
🍵📚🪴
i love that you love less cabinets and more open shelving in the kitchen
It’s so beautiful!! Excited to see what you do with it! 💗
I am living vicariously through this... so excited to see all the changes you end up making!!

Ouuu so exciting! Thank you for showing us, and looking forward to see how it develops.
UGH CPH IS THE BEST I'm so jealous I'm puking excited
Your design aesthetic is gorgeous. I really appreciate and agree with your design approach and the way you consider the different elements of your space. 100% agree with everything that you've said - The dining room table would look great in a mid-toned wood with rounded edges to anchor and strengthen the space (and your chairs are fab); absolutely gutted for you about the new couch not complimenting the amazing accent chair your partner found (as you say, it speaks so well to the pendant light in color and form, and the pop of these two features will be diminished by a dominant couch.
Congrats on your new home!
I would be tempted to paint the floral designs on the ceiling a cream color to subtlety pop.
Fantastic for day one, square one! Looking forward to seeing how you design this beautiful space! Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh it is BEAUTIFUL
Nice place! I would totally use curtains for the closet in the room. That's what I did a few years ago and it looks very nice, it is cheaper than doors and last but not least, it is much more practical than sliding doors.
Paint the outside terrace door and door trim sage green! 😁
Beautiful apartment--very happy for you! For the kitchen floor, what about a floating cork (not sure of terminology) floor in a distinctly different tone--very pale or very dark, to contrast with the remaining woods? Not sure it's a rental-friendly option, but would be natural and different....
Could you take down the shelves and use the slight alcove to just “frame” a couple of larger potted plants, or the two chairs
i love your videos! ty for sharing. i love your vision
Fabulous apartment!!! Love your ideas. I am looking forward to seeing your updates. Enjoy your new apartment!!! I wish I could find a place with so much charm and character. Beautiful!!!❤️
very cozy and simplicity
i have two of the folding chairs dating back to university in the mid seventies...they are awesome
The apartment is gorgeous, congratulations!! Excited to see your updates to it.
Would you consider a round mid-century walnut dining table in the dining room/office?
Could you remove the shelves (and store them) to use the space as a double alcove? Or perhaps put brackets underneath and extend the shelves out further? The last idea might not float everyone's boat but it's food for thought. 😅
I really appreciate your thoughtful commentary throughout the video, rather than just showing us the space. Eagerly awaiting future episodes! 🤓😀
Let’s go! So excited for you! There’s nothing better than moving into a new place. Congrats.
HOME UPDATES YES YES YES 🩶🩶🩶
Love love love… beautiful proportions… and light… the outdoor shelves… maybe remove some and extend others out into the space… would semicircular extensions be too much? They could then become a vertical garden…
Lovely home! I can already see your vision ☺️ I feel like I could see benjiplant crossover when you mentioned more plants!
congrats
What a beautiful space! Already looking forward to the next updates
I need episode 2 soon
I would watch movies on a projector over the blinds in the bedroom. Cool kitchen. I 100% love the sink under the window. So cool. What are your winters like? Snow?
You could consider Marmoleum for the kitchen. They make tiles.
obsessed with the living room pendant
can't wait to see how this will turn out!
🤔 if it was my balcony, I think I would paint the walls off white, the trim Black, and the door mauve. The shelves would hold a collection of pottery and cool planting supplies for the balcony garden.
Can't wait to see how you end up decorating the apartment:)
omg you guys have 'stuk' in the ceiling, so lovely
What a beautiful home in a beautiful city! I go there for work once in awhile.
Love this episode! I am moving in to a very similar place on sept 1, so this is so inspiring to see! If you don't intend to keep the leather chair, I'll happily buy it from you :))
I have the same folding chair and love it just as much as you do!
I was LITERALLY looking at that exact living room chair for a client lol 😅Great minds think alike!
What a gorgeous apartment! So much nicer than the one by the cemetery!! You square 1 is goals on so many levels already. Does Brooklinen ship to Europe btw? I’m in Barcelona.
