You are so good at explaining the reasons behind your advice. That's why I think so many can really benefit from these videos, even if their style is totally different than yours. I have learned so much from you and was able to use many of your ideas in my new apartment.
Hi Noah. Loooooooooooooove your work. Just bought my first little townhouse in Melbourne. It is ripe with potential and I have no money left so I'm doing everything on my own and your videos give me life!!! Ty ty I hope you get really famous lol. I have never really followed anyone on UA-cam - you the first! Big love, Dom
Yay! These are some of my favorite videos of yours. They are so helpful and I feel like I understand design on a deeper level listening to you. Also I love your aesthetic, so your room designs just look so cool. Thanks for sharing, I always look forward to your videos!
I was thinking keep original table, but put an upholstery bench at the wall and use two of the chairs on each end. One of the other chairs could be used by the door for putting shoes on and off. A shallow shelf over it for keys gloves etc.
100% thought the same thing about the bench! Also they definitely had that furniture by the door as a drop-zone so i agree absolutely should at least do a floating shelf there
Love the tweaks you made; just 2 things I would do differently. I would keep the Kallax for the desk area. It helps create a private zone for working and also blocks the work space when you’re off duty. Second, I would put a small console table or bookshelf by the door to keep the drop zone.
23s ago can’t believe I’m this early. I just recently moved to a new place, so your videos are so helpful and inspiring to me. Wish you the best always ❤
I love watching your videos because they are very insightful and the advice can be applied to any home not just this one. Also, your voice is very calm. Some interior design channels immediately hit you with loud bubbly music and they're shouting at you. So this is a nice change of pace.
Definitely inspiring and empowering for making changes in my own living space. I really appreciate that you explain your reasoning and offer feasible solutions, even if I sometimes find the styling choices a bit austere or restrained.
I loooove these in-depth advice videos you do! I especially liked this one because the apartment feels more like the housing I could afford here in Oslo. My partner and I are actually moving from a tiny (32 m2) studio apartment to a tinier (30 m2) 1-bedroom apartment in March. We got most of our furniture for free or off the curb because our budget is pretty tight. I might submit our new space to give you a real challenge.
You completely nailed it! Each adjustment you made was spot on and exactly how I would have done it. Your explanations were incredibly clear and well-articulated. 🙌🏽
Your videos are great, this one was quite transformational. I'm saving my pennies to purchase a consultation from you! I'm on the opposite spectrum of having TOO much art and personal tchotchkes.
Your vids are extremely interesting to me because your sense of style is intangible. It's not exactly my visual vibe but somehow I can feel that you're doing it in a very artsy and competent way, catching the essence of living in the space, instead of only working on functionality and looks. Bow to the Artist!
I subscribed because this is such an excellent video! You do a great job of breaking down your decisions, this is a great resource for anybody who's looking to change up their space a little bit.
I came across one of your videos, and wow-I absolutely love your content! You explain everything so clearly, and your insights have been incredibly inspiring. Do you have any book recommendations on mid-century modern design?
It's kind of crazy. If I were to try and make this space I would have tried to rearrange everything, but then Noah's just like, new couch, different table shape! I think it's interesting how my mind would never have considered the furniture an option to change out. And even if I did, I would have no idea what is better than what's there.
As per usual, your styling was immaculate. Thank you for not holding back on the philosophy of collecting art that is meaningful and personal. I am an artist so I can easily make large scale work on the cheap but I've also spent years collecting and framing prints from other artists that I love. I've kept art that was handed down to me from my grandparents and only display things that I'm passionate about. When I was in my early 20s and fresh out of college with no money, I ended up displaying my own art along with mass produced pictures of crystals and mushrooms from World Market... As much as I don't like creating waste, those pictures ended up at goodwill and I still have the art that I've made years later. Over time I realized that I didn't resonate with the art you can buy at the store- and that frankly, I didn't always agree with it. Especially when you can directly support a small artist by buying a print for $20 and thrifting a frame for $10. In this day and age, stores like Homegoods are steering away from working with actual artists (like the shaggy cow photographer) and starting to purely use AI because there are not yet laws in place to protect the people whose artwork is used to generate images and these big box stores can make a bigger profit without paying for licensing. For the record, I'm not against AI. Just mass produced art and greedy corporations. It's so important to support creative people instead of billionaires.
Hi just came across your site and really enjoyed how you put over all your ideas and expertise. I plan to keep watching. It's great to see down to earth content.
At 9:36, There are so many great L shaped sofas. One of my current favorites is the Carl Hansen & Son Embrace Sofa by EOOS. It's not about whether it has a built in chaise or not but about the integrity of the design, the proportion, and the placement of the sofa in the space.
I really enjoy hearing your thought process! I have a similar sized dining area and just noted your suggestion for the table size so thanks for the help :)
idk as someone who love to cook/host I always prefer rectangular dining tables. but I totally agree that she should swap out the chairs to be less bulky and maybe no arms
It would be interesting to follow through the weird ubiquity of certain animals in mass-produced "art" of certain eras ... I remember spaniels and gundogs on plates on my grandmother's wall, and pheasant and duck ornaments on the other grandmother's mantle and piano ... there were the card and billiard playing dogs and cats at some point ... then a squirrel, deer and fox era ... the giant photos of cockatoos in Australia or paintings of pelicans and other water birds in America ... and now the coming of the Highland cow ... which marketer gets to decide which creature will be plastered all over the walls?
You get more space behind you by backing into a corner (especially since chairs are rounded), rather than the flat wall at your back on 2 of the sides of the table.
You are so good at explaining the reasons behind your advice. That's why I think so many can really benefit from these videos, even if their style is totally different than yours. I have learned so much from you and was able to use many of your ideas in my new apartment.
So so so true!
the swap of the office and the dining table, so simple and yet effective
I can’t get enough of your before and after videos! They are very inspiring and are helping me see my home in a new way.
Would love a video on integrating pet stuff (beds, feeding areas, litterboxes, etc.) into a room! Keep em coming, great stuff thanks.

I want to see the IRL after! Your videos are so thoughtful and soothing :)
love these videos, would be so cool if the subscriber made the changes and it was included at the end, would be a super cool before and after

Looove your videos and I especially love these style! It's so helpful ♡
I have snacks and coffee. I am seated. Teach us, wise one!
Brilliant! I love your pacing and your ability to explain your choices.

The way you explain things is so easy to understand! I hope you do another one of these videos cus I would love to send my space in lol
Just saw the end haha

The dog bed on that wall near the door would be nice as well! 😊

You are so incredibly talented Noah!
Fun!!! Very insightful too Noah! Thanks
This was sooooo good! Such great ideas!!
Thank you for this video and advice! I really resonate with your feelings about mass-produced art, I think of it as art without a soul.
Inspiring as always! Thank you. Please keep doing these videos. Your insights are so very helpful.
You are magical, Noah! Absolutely love
Fave series. Fave interior design UA-camr right now. Please make more!
Your videos are great, this one was quite transformational. I'm saving my pennies to purchase a consultation from you! I'm on the opposite spectrum of having TOO much art and personal tchotchkes.
Always enjoy a new video of yours! Nice that you take your time with it, makes it extra special when a video comes out🙏🏼
I love how hard Noah hits each t in the word important. Noah means business.
And saying every syllable in 'comfortable'. Magnificent.

Great advice!
Love watching these. So helpful and inspiring!
Great ideas!
i love!!
This is such an amazing series!!! It’s so interesting to watch and I also learn so much from you.

So so good❤
This video is so useful! Thanks for articulating in such a relatable way. These and your modernist theory videos are my favorite!
I love these videos!!

Yep, fun and inspirational Noah. Nailed it!
loooove this video as always!! i agree, this place has so much potential and your advises are gold

Great video! Maybe you could do one about color combinations in the future? That would be awesome 😍
By the door i would place a big mirror
You have such an amazing eye it's legit mindblowing
Hi just came across your site and really enjoyed how you put over all your ideas and expertise.
I plan to keep watching.
It's great to see down to earth content.
This was fantastic. I feel as though I’m learning :) please keep doing these videos!
Great video, there is something so calming about your voice!
This is really great! I love all the choices you made.
Love the ideas, but I think you removed their drop zone which they’ll need by the door.

Hear me out: wall to wall bookshelves on that far wall in the living room.
Great video

Love hearing your ideas and the rationale behind them.
Bravo to your talent, Noah! Do you have a curated site or online storefront where you post recommended items?
So good
❤❤❤❤ love your videos

masterful
so excited about this!
Hi definitely stealing this design for my own apartment 🎉😂
This was tricky! I couldn’t even imagine how to deal with this floor plan. 😮
Wow these are brilliant suggestions!
Thank you 🧡
So good!!! 🎉
Your videos are so inspiring but want your view on the best app to use in setting up my living room
Hey Noah! I love the floor lamp you put next to the sofa - do you have a link for it?
What was the arm chair u added to the space around 18:20 ? So gorgeous
Loved all the ideas and explanations. How do you take submissions for one of these?
The Highland cows make great dog toys...so cute

Love it. What’s the reasoning for chairs at 45 degree angle ?
You get more space behind you by backing into a corner (especially since chairs are rounded), rather than the flat wall at your back on 2 of the sides of the table.
@ ah ok,thank you for that,I think that makes sense,I’m trying it in my space 🙂
yay!
This is great! How do I get some advice for my space, would love to get advice
Good lineweight on thos floor plans, btw
😊
Idk if I'm influenced by the feng shui guy, but I thought you were going to flip the sofa to make it face the window
Oooo where is this floor lamp from?
What software do you use?
I disagree with the art stack by the door but otherwise spot on!
I agree! I was thinking a mirror to get some more light into the space
I thought tall mirror too! The ikea hovet chrome one would be cool!
Where do these people sleep
I swear you remind me so much of Paige Wassel and I can't put my finger on why. Amazing video as always haha 😊
I am like number 666 :3
