I used to play this with my grandpa who died 2 years ago. When I suddenly remembered this game, heard the music and saw the gameplay it took me back to when we used to play together. Nostalgic and sad at the same time.. It was a great game in my childhood, when we didn't have much more to play

Now my gram passed away 2013 and grandpa is still around but very old but any time I see gameplay of this or hear the theme it always gives me a weird kind of nostalgia I can't explain
When it came out in 1996, I received it as a Christmas gift towards the end of that year. I remember seeing it in a store (a random one which I do not recall now) and wanted it, but my mum said 'no, it's your present, you will get it soon', which did not arrive until after Christmas (she said it to shut me up). As a got it, I completed it without paying much attention to the secrets. I was only 9 at the time, and didn't really understand/cared about it. It took me 3ish days, so by the 30th-31st Dec it was done. However, I started finding some Banana Birds, and reading the booklet (no internet at the time), I commenced looking into completing the game 100% (or I would say, 103%). Eventually I managed in February 1997 (so just in under 2 months). Very proud of myself, one of the fewest games I completed without any help. This makes it one of my favourite games ever. Great memories
I intend to get a super nintendo, n64, ps1 and all that and hook it up to a old school tv. I swear these games don't look as good on our high res screens, I reckon its cos the pixels are way smaller now and those games where quite pixelated. I'm gonna get a gameboy as well, people are gonna be playing games on their smartphone and I'm gonna be playing pokemon on the gameboy.

I have to agree. Also, it's the 2nd game where DK isn't playable. I think it's due to RARE being a bit bitter towards Miyamoto over the criticisms for DKC.
@@MegamanNG It's definitely because of RARE's bitterness over Miyamoto's pretty harsh criticism for the first game. RARE had a lot of little things (and not so little things) in their games influenced by events such as that. It's fine though since they came to practically dominate the N64.
*@MegamanSG* This is actually a false rumour which started from a mis-translation of one of Miyamoto's interviews. This game has a very unique vibe. I love the interesting soft timbre of the music, and the visuals are gorgeous and aesthetically very lovely and interesting as well.
The one thing I always loved about the DK trilogy games is there was no time limit to reach the goal. You could spend time looking for the bonuses and explore without the anxiety of the time limit like the Super Mario games at the time.

This game series was earth shattering to me as a young teenager, super nes was awsome but these were some of the best color schemes and soundtracks of the history of nintendo at that time. Really blew our minds lol.
You know, Dkc2 didn't sell as many copies as the first game, which is interesting considering Dkc2 is usually remembered by many as the best, but I personally like the third game, its very underrated and has much undeserved hate.
Well, with the Koin mechanic, there really wasn’t much else they could do. I prefer DKC2’s method of just finding it. It allowed them to be more creative on where they could hide it. After seeing this playthrough, you realize that Koin is taken out very easily with very few levels demanding you to figure out a clever solution. Like, 90% of the time, the wall to bounce the keg is right there.

You’re so skilled, I’m stuck at the bees level and I feel like shit 🤣
u still got your snes?
Which bees level?
I think they mean Riverside Race
Say what you want, but this is my favorite game of the DKC stuff for Super Nintendo. I love the design aesthetics of the stages, and some bosses are just so cool.
Oh my God. It feels like time travel!
Those were the days of true happiness.
DK1, 2, and 3 are all masterpieces, great OST background music.
26:59 Unsportsmanlike Conduct! Cranky Kong has been ejected from the game!
maybe not on par with the first two games, but it still deserves credit for trying to do something (slightly) different

Took me 6 years to finally find out how to beat Belcha’s Barn. I remember getting so mad at not knowing what to do
10:17 SM64 Theme
This one and the first two was my childhood and all the rest of the games I had to
Saudades desse tempo.
Awesome to see such a part of my childhood. That game was awesome. A proper send-off by the Super Nes at the time when the N64 was already in place.
The one thing I always loved about the DK trilogy games is there was no time limit to reach the goal. You could spend time looking for the bonuses and explore without the anxiety of the time limit like the Super Mario games at the time.
Loved this game.... composed a whole collection of chiptunes in honor of these old games.... one day they should re make games like theses... same graphics, same sounds
10:28 Wrinkly Kong is playing an N64 which was released the same year as this game.
I like Dixie Kong she is wearing my favorite color is pink her hair is yellow and her cousin are Quest find donkey Kong and her boyfriend are at the end beat all the bosses I can't beat this game on my super Nintendo and other games

EET EZ BEST GAM
Dixie is a cool female lead.
Nice! Love this game
Anyone else traumatized as a kid by Blecha and Squirt?
Yep, however it was really Barbos who scared me as a kid.
Cranky can be such a sore looser at Swanky's games heh.
That dude is SO narcissistic honestly... it's kinda why I never tend to even talk to the dude...! They didn't call him "Cranky Kong" for NOTHING...!
out of the 3 this one was my favorite
This game series was earth shattering to me as a young teenager, super nes was awsome but these were some of the best color schemes and soundtracks of the history of nintendo at that time. Really blew our minds lol.
You know, Dkc2 didn't sell as many copies as the first game, which is interesting considering Dkc2 is usually remembered by many as the best, but I personally like the third game, its very underrated and has much undeserved hate.
At least in the underwater levels, you know they half-assedly put the DK coin near the flag.
I consider this game underrated and the best of the DKC trilogy.
It doesnt suprise me if this is the best put of the trilogy. Such a great game.
i understands k.rools plot:
kidnap donkey kong and diddy kong for a power source to dominate all the land and seal the banana bird queen to be under his power
THE best Donkey Kong Country Game in my oppinion. It was sooooo much fun! Ah.. looks like I have to play this one again.
Thank you for this! 😃
I REMEMBER THIS GAME
All the people who enter in this video remember this beautiful video game
My childhood game man I really miss the good old days
I’m serious good old days I will remember forever
I’m little creep out about looking at the water monster
This is my opinion I really believe donkey Kong country the series that's been made I think this series of donkey Kong country that we've all witnessed is the best video games we've ever witnessed donkey Kong country is the best
Ah but did you ever complete DKC 2 with 120 DK coins?
I think my game glitched on me and added 100 coins to the counter, i didnt even collect them all
But i was bragging about it to everyone when i was a kid
I've always loved the cottage country vibes of this game
Same! This game made life feel as a permanent feel good holiday!
