The best Mario game ever.
I still remember spending my summer as a kid playing this game. It's been... 26 years.
34 years 😊
I spent a large part of my childhood on this game, its feels so weird that im watching this on my phone instead of a television. Love this gane.
Man I'll never forget! My mom used to work at Meijer. They had a contest where you could win any toy. She used to bring home the contest packets. Like the whole thing! I won and picked the SNES! She made us wait until Christmas that year! Stayed up all night that year playing this! Best Christmas ever!
We might be in a different age group I’m 28. My mother got me this & Yoshi’s Island for Gameboy Advance on my 5th Birthday. Loved this Game! She also bought me Micky Mouse The Magical Quest. During these days parents enjoyed playing the handheld devices 😂 Great Memories for sure!
🔥🔥🔥
It's "Meijers" with an S 😂
Meijer? You must be in the Mid-West then!
Our mamas in the 90s were real Queens. They bought us all the best toys they could afford.
I remember it being 11 pm at night, I went to the living room, turned on the SNES and put this game and play it non stop. One of my fav childhood games. Thank you for playing it 100% !
Wow that's so cool and sneaky I love it ❤❤❤
OMG anyone would spent HOURS playing this game and you can NEVER be bored playing it!
@@bobbyrich7only frustrated at not being good enough 😂
Thank God for the save systems, we would have to move it from room to room as my dad or mom always wanted to watch the news or the telenovelas.
Good times for sure
I'm 30 now, and this was the first video game I played when I was 4 years old. My older brother taught me how to play, and I've been a gamer ever since.
Back in the 90s when the SNES was revealed, this was part of the montage of games on a commercial and for the life of me up to today, I can'tt get Mario and Peach to meet in the center like how they did in the commercial.
Man I feel the same way. I'm 29 and my mom played the crap out of this.
Same here I’m 33 I was 3 and my sisters taught me lmao
Early 90's, the Internet didn't exist, probably one of the best times to be alive 😮
Oh, really
Go back then, leave the present to those that appreciate it
@@thespudlord686 if I go back there that's not my past anymore but my future and today the present will be my past.
Undoubtedly the best Mario game ever made and will ALWAYS hold that title in my opinion. Still enjoy this game being 43 years old. Thanks for the walkthrough forgot the 2nd way on the butter bridge.
The best music ever. I miss my childhood.
The best super mario world playthrough out there. Guy's knowledge of the game is beyond impressive. Well done sir. Mr. Miyamoto would be proud 🎉
So satisfying watching someone play this game this good lol
A masterpiece in every way. Came free with the system. Perfect ramp up in difficulty so that you got better as it got harder. Utilized the system better than some games late in the system's life cycle. Holds up in 2024 and well beyond. I was 11 years old and I will never forget this game. I still play this game once a year or so to completion. Sometimes I skip a year. Life can be tough at times.
Nintendo just did things other developers couldn't. I mean, look at Super Mario 3 on the NES. I still look at that game today and wonder, how the hell did they pull that off on NES. It is like leagues above every other game on the system in terms of tight controls and graphics. I think Nintendo games were the reason I never got into Castlevania until Symphony of the Night on PS1. Nobody did platformers like Nintendo. Everything else always felt sluggish in comparison.
All that being said, and even with how much I love this game to death I still think the Donkey Kong trilogy and Super Metroid on SNES are probably the best games on the system. Super Metroid being one of my favorite games of all time.
While I love almost every system out there for different reasons I don't think any will ever unseat the SNES. Even with the Switch being probably one of the best modern systems right now the SNES just hit different in the early 90's.
A lot of people want to be young again just to be young. What I want is to go back in time to when I was 8 years old with all my knowledge now so I can appreciate the system as it comes out and through it's life cycle as much as I do now but as it is happening.
That was a clean first boss fight.
8 year old me with no internet in the 90s played this for months to get all the secret levels lol.
Welcome to the club. 😅
See these are the 100% games I like to see. No glitches. Just all the way
Thats the game developers fault for glitches, players gonna take advantage
This game and Mario Kart was the best add Street Fighter 2 turbo was one of my favorites as well
Yes
yoshi's diet was insane in this game
😂 it really was
Every few years I pull this game out and play it again. No matter how well you know the game, it's still fun to play.
Devs were cooking in the studio with that soundtrack 🔥🔥
Hot dayum! This is a super solid run. Brings back a lot of memories.
Best Mario game 👍
You are an absolute champ! Never seen anyone play this good.
The Roy Ludwig and Morton was just one hit
I never knew about that secret bonus game in the 2nd castle.
Thank you for still uploading. I've been watching your channel since my freshman year in college.
I remember playing this game when it came out on Gameboy Advance. I was 12, geez that was 21 years ago. Took a long time to beat the game but I finally did it, it was a great accomplishment then 😂. Watching this for old times sake.
What a throwback ! Thanks for this
Yoshi with baby Mario after watch Mario drop him to lava - it’s time to make my revenge 💀
This was an extremely cool video brought back childhood memories
Nice playthrough of Super Mario World it was nostalgia and worth watching hope to see more fun longplays from you in the future
One thing a lot of people seem to miss is in Valley of Bowser 2 after you go in the pipe after the halfway point, when you come out you can go left and up and jump offscreen and you’ll hit a block that will give you a feather
Truly one of THE best.
watching this with the family so my children can get an idea of our childhood only problem is everyone keeps yelling at me to get the key get the feathers eat that go here get the mushrooms etc etc😂 i miss my childhood 😢
I love this game I play it now in 2024 thanks for this! I’m already up to bowsers castle wish me luck :D
I love the music in the koopa castle levels
Game was so fun and memorable. I still have my Super NES and game from my youth.
Impressive.
loved to play this
Seeing this and listening to it, I started thinking about where that cartridge was that I had when I was a child. I had it new in the box because it came included with the Super Nintendo. It is nostalgic to know that that cartridge may be somewhere in the world.
OMFG. NOSTALGIC 120%🎉🎉🎉😂
@1:59:49 that's it. That is the one I could never figure out. the only one. thank you.
thanks, cool video 😁👍
Danke für das tolle Video. Du hast leider einige geheime Levels vergessen.
Having to remember the timing and location of every jump, pause, duck seems nearly impossible. Pretty impressive.
Wow, after watching to remember playing still the same.....going to buy to super NES real soon......😊
I remember having this theme song as my ringtone good times 💯💯🐐🐐🔥🔥
So happy they now have this on switch online.
My favorite super Mario ,super Nintendo when I was 13 year's old never forget this game for sure 😁
Larry likes to Ride a Bike
Morton likes to smoke Cigarettes
Wendy likes to do her Makeup
Iggy likes Jumping his Pogo Stick while eating Ice Cream
Roy likes to play with Balloons
Lemmy likes to go down the Waterslides & play Soccer
Ludwig likes to Skateboard at Skate Park
This is so nostalgic 😅
The nostalgia is real 💯💯💯💯💯
Ma man biggest rival is the ending bonus bar 😂
Nice uploading I wish you should played Donkey Kong Country 2 diddy Kong Quest Next.
This.. THIS game were my VERY first owned console game ever back in 1992 ( 80s norwegian kiddo here ). I did play it at my childhood friends first a bit. But I became obsessed that got myself SNES and SMW myself so I wouldnt occupying hisxall the time😆. All those hours. I was alredy then imagining all possible new places, roads, secrets on the map that could appear or could gave been added😂 Also wished for orange🟠 and purple🟣 yoshis, bricks and koopas. I saw those two colors of the 6 main missing. Were a color fanatic back then, thanks to the painting and color teachings we had in pre-school and early school back then😅 Im a hybrid gamer. Started with SNES -> pc -> N64 ( Zelda OcarinaOT boi here. Link left handed, me too, felt personally home playing that game due too that. Damn Nintendo not having Link lefty in main series again, " excuses"😡 ) -> new pc -> xbox + pc -> xbox 360-> xbox one+ laptop pc-> XbsX + laptop pc. I might get switch now even since my younger siblings got switches too😂
Super Mario World is definitely my most favorite quest.😂
Good memories 😢😊
All the characters are so cute in this game, even Bowser😁
I've spent literal days just coin farming and practicing my "flying" at 9:10
Omg many of nights me and my sister up til about 2-3 am playing this game and I beat it..took me 2months on account I had school... basketball...choir and chores at home but awwee the memories ❤️❤️
You mised a third exit at chocolate island 2 😢
1:22:45 I remember upon entering this I immediately exited to the world map and that gives you the blue yoshi early
I used to play to this game when i was a little girl, i used to rock it ! A few days ago i played to this game again but i really sucked 😂 ! You are a boss 🎉🎉
I remember that SuperMario 0:7. I played it on gameboy
Seems like a game a lot of us collectively had to sneak and play at horrible hours
I’m glad Nintendo allowed us all to have brief similarities within the cultural miasma of what america was founded on and subsequently intended for after their cultural miasma, and what it has become now, and why.
2:20:03 from green to blue
I was excited to see Super Mario World released, and the playtesting you could do in stores, but I was intimidated by the sheer amount of secrets that SMB3 had had, and I thought there is no way a newer game, jam packed with even more secrets, could be something I had the time to take on. I was getting more into schooling and personal goals.
Now years later and I see Mario World's secrets are largely just alternative paths or maybe a supposedly bonus level that's largely empty or fruitless, switches that only add to the same pathways, I am kinda surprised. It's almost like the only reward for exploring Mario 4 is a faster way to complete the game or more bonus points. Are either of those supposed to be fun? The bowser map is just a bunch of exits to the same few levels? Weird! Why? They were really banking on repetitive replayability.
Mario 3 had secret coins/scores to achieve that revealed interactivity, secret ships with secret items, a more dynamic map world with roaming enemies, bonus games, a "secret" bonus game, and levels that you can never come back to, which might have warp whistles or certain suits hidden in them, and an artfully "revealed" complexity over the course of the game. Compared to Mario 3, this "Mario 4" turned out to feel really beautiful and iconic but also a hollow test of endurance like a long echoey hallway. (I love that the reward for winning is you get to take a vacation, one might feel like they need it after such a game!)
I see they had a lot of new things introduced that stayed with the franchise forever, like visual checkpoints, yoshi (with a couple pointless extra powers per yoshi type except the apparently invaluable blue yoshi), the spellcasting koopa (apparently Bowser befriended this wizard-turtle after his severe beating in Mario 3), wiggler, some different (if no more creative) dynamics with level interaction, larger variety of behaviors (like ghosts in circles, straight-line ghosts, koopas acting like footballers, koopas getting out of shells, torpedo versions of the bullets, etc.) and more playful ideas of size like giant bullet bills and tiny thwomps, King Boo. But all the expanded world and these dynamics about "increased freedom in play style" don't add up to the meaningful strategy, inventory management, careful world navigation (and bonus games!), or variety of power-up suits of Mario 3. Even the forest of illusion that boasted of "puzzles" feels no more complex than the other levels. I wonder if the developers feel the same way about Mario 4. Beautiful but sparse.
Thanks for the playthrough! It was fun to see (and not have to play myself, you are very skilled!).
Princess Toadstool needs to fire her security detail. She’s is constantly being kidnapped
Kindheitserinnerungen😢
Y’all i think it’s one of THE best games of all time
As an old guy ... lol I bet there's a way to get every coin and every 1up puzzle there is
Skipped all the good stuff .😂😂 This was very nerve wrecking when u played the first time lol
The 2 hour mark I always thought there was another exit that connects the bottom part but of the ghost house but there's not
This was impressive! Im replaying the game now after many years and iv completed every level you.just did but mine says its 94 not 100% complete. I dont kmow where the other 6% is at
The red stages have more than one exit.
@@DLAbaoaquive done every red level both exits and completed the game and mine says 94% too ??
Yoshi will remember this
Kool game lv this one I passed most of it
Ain’t no way. First level after the first castle that plants fireball should’ve hit you.
this is impressive, i just wish you didn't float through all the Special stages. They're hard without yoshi haha
I played this game at walmart so much!
I just realized that the end castle cutscenes at 56:52 and 2:05:45 use the exact same background.
Nintendo gonna aye you for recording game footage 💀
The best and favorite part about this game is that you can play 2 player and if you're player 2 you can play as Luigi
my only interaction with this game was watching people play awful rom hacks back in the late 2000s. nice to see the actual game lol
Why is Yoshi not allowed in castles and haunted houses?
It might be because Yoshi is either scared of castles and ghost houses or that he might ruin the atmosphere that the castles are trying to create. Plus, there are fences that only Mario can climb on. 🌟
Dorkly on UA-cam made a UA-cam video about not letting Yoshi in the castle XD
28:30 best part
First time I've ever seen a moon in the game. I do say though with some of the collisions I saw in some of the levels it makes me think it isn't possible to get hit with your character. example 58:46 Mario clearly got hit by the saw blade.
Iggy Morton lemmy Ludwig Roy Wendy Larry
Me: How Does This Thing Still Work
Dr. Smurfenstein: Oh I'm Sure It's Operational
Me: Dr. Smurfenstein Glad You Could See All This I Know You've Been Looking Forward To
Dr. Smurfenstein: Looking Forward To All This And You
I forgot about the special world!
Also i never got all the yoshi coins or the alternate finishes
My 1st love 😊
Whats is the emulator that´s you use?
Never knew about Soda Lake....
57:27 You missed a vine that connects "Butter Bridge" stage to "Cheese Bridge" stage
👍
🎉
🎉
What did yoshi do to you😢
6:49
Smash this like if you farmed the first castle for 1ups on the wire fence before moving on!
👇👍
Wait doesnt it take three hits to get rid of the bosses? Why did it only take Ludwig and Roy one hit?
is there a desert or sand level?
oooo
I always freeze up when they play castle levels
não foi 100% ! Deixou mta coisa pra trás!
