    Hey Steveo - for what it's worth, 5 years ago I started watching your videos and they were one of the key catalysts that got me back in the cockpit after taking 10 years off. 4 years ago I earned my private pilot certificate and just this past May my father and I bought our first airplane and have been making some memories of our own. I've grown and learned so much in aviation and I am a better pilot for having your examples in these videos. Thank you for all that you have done for me, my aviation journey and I'm sure so many others.

    Steveo … I’m 73 years old and sadly not a pilot, but love planes. I’ve been disabled with intractable chronic back pain since 2004 and want you to know your “hard work” making these videos bring tremendous joy to my spirit and a distraction from my pain. Each flight I’m in the right seat with you. Learning what instruments do what and thrilled at exploring destinations and airports looking out the window. May I add that as a former professional videographer/photographer, your videos have the best production quality around. Great POVs, editing, music, and narration. Thank You for sharing your pilot life with us. Blessed flights in your new TBM-940 travels! ✝️

    Stevo. Greetings from North Georgia. My dad worked for Eastern Airlines in Miami and I developed a love for aviation. Got busy with a family and never got involved with flying. However we have owned a small trucking company for over twenty years. Thank you for taking us all along.

      I picked up on that - notwithstanding the consistently beautiful content Steveo, supported of course by his amazing Patreon members, has shared with us through both his 850 and miscellaneous vlogs, the shot of that living example of aviation history has to be among the coolest sights photographed at Miami - Opa Locka (hope I spelled that right) on this channel, perfect as part of this send off.

      At USAF technical school in 1978 we trained to be Crew Chiefs on a couple of C-131/T-29’s at Shepperd AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. Good to see that some of them are still flying!!

    • @stansdds
      @stansdds 7 місяців тому +1

      @@b1bmsgt Well, here's the sad part about Conquest's C-131's. I just read that they have been having a difficult time finding qualified crews and now they are running out of usable spare parts and no new sources available.
      They are going to keep one of the C-131's available for cargo ops, the other two converted to oil dispersion spray use, so they will still be airworthy, but no longer flying scheduled services.
      Conquest has been leasing a CV-580 for a couple of years now and now has a lease on a SAAB-340F to handle cargo flights to the Bahamas. This looks to be the end of use for the aircraft that was intended to replace the DC-3.
      Speaking of the DC-3, Florida Air Cargo has three DC-3/C-47's flying cargo out of Opa Locka to the Bahamas and Atlantic Air Cargo also flies one for cargo service to the Bahamas. Seems there is still a supply of DC-3/C-47 parts, so they are likely to continue flying for several more years.

    Hi Stevo
    I came across your videos about four years ago when I was interested in upgrading from my Piper Mirage to a turboprop. Your videos confirmed to me that the TBM 850 was the right plane for me. I have been the owner of one for the last two years now and I look forward to every chance I get to sit in the right seat on a trip in this plane.
    Your videos have been so entertaining and insightful. If it wasn’t for you, I would never know the importance of avoiding a hot start, and I am obsessed with monitoring the start up process.
    I wish you the best of success as you move forward and away from the TBM 850 Turn off

    Hey Steveo, I am so sorry to hear that you have to say good bye to your good old N851TB. I am following you and your adventure video's since 3 years now. As a non real world pilot I like to fly the TBM930 and now the TBM850 in the MSFS2020 sim. Your video's are tutorials for me to fly this bird the way it should. Maybe in the meantime you can do some tutorial videos of the TBM850 which released a couple of weeks ago. I really hope you will find your dream job/plane. I am sure you will. You are a very good and dedicated pilot and which I also have to mention, a very good video editor. Very good luck from NL.

    So good to go along for another ride in the TBM 850 with you. Good to see it all back together again after its overhaul. After its finally gone, you should do a video or series of videos in the Black Square TBM 850 for MSFS, since you’re essentially the TBM 850 expert! Just because the real world plane is gone doesn’t mean that the journey has to end. It could continue in the virtual world. Thankyou for all the wonderful flights aboard the beloved TBM 850. You've inspired me so much over the years and I'm glad I can finally experience this wonderful aircraft in MSFS thanks to Black Square. I can't wait to see what's next for you and the channel. Best wishes.

    Steve-O: Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these videos. I appreciate not only the entertainment value, but also the explanations and teaching you do. It has encouraged me to chase the childhood dream of flying and I have started my flight training at the age of 48. O_o
