Here's the next tutorial video for the Black Square TBM 850, this covers the Engine & Beta range in the aircraft. Extra work and improvements were made following initial feedback.
Black Square’s technically advanced TBM 850 for MSFS features almost 100 possible failures, unapologetically realistic systems, hot-swappable radio configurations and the most advanced pressurisation and cabin temperature simulations in MSFS.
Features include radio navigation systems from several eras of the aircraft's history, 55 in-game checklists with control/instrument highlighting, full custom 3D sound package, accurate flight dynamics, seven paint schemes and detailed 100+ page manual.

Fantastic plane. Bought it first thing this morning and already completed multiple flights. It’s unbelievable how great of a job they did with this aircraft. Its taken the number one spot for my favorite plane now. And that wasnt easy to do since the fenix a320 has held that spot for quite some time.
This is what I'm talking about! Love the beta range implementation, which has been lacking in the simulator. Only a couple turboprops in the sim (SWS Kodiak 100 e.g.) has this modeled
Another great video, thanks. With Asobo adding the new behaviour for turboprops in SU13, I hope there's capacity to 'retrofit' the new features into the other aircraft after the TBM releases. It would almost be a crime not to on such richly modelled aircraft, though I appreciate that community priorities seldom align with business priorities :)

Amazing job on this aircraft im sure it sell well, I love to see B SQ do some old classic business jets like this fidelity at some point but you overhaul's and this and coming Duke are amazing work!
The community thanks you all, what a godsend it is to have such passionate sim makers I believe this is within 2% of the real aircraft a fantastic achievment.
Any issues are sim based - I just wish I had the funds for new pc, controls and use aircraft like this on channel.

This ist great! Will the King Air also be effected by this?
Might not be able to. Kingair was based on default MSFS aircraft, The TBM is brand new, created by Just Flight. They can do more with it. I would like to see updates to existing products to add new features as they add more to new aircraft though.
King Air needs an 850 treatment, full study level, sounds and external model.
@@vermin1970the only thing default about their KA is the external model. Everything else is custom, including the engine simulation, which does include hot starts and such on the King Air. I’m sure it could be implemented for it
@after_midnight9592 the only thing black squar left off the analog King air was the fact it used the default model and sounds other than that the systems depth is outstanding and on par with the most in depth king air study level add on

Hi there. Firstly thank you for this great looking product thst i an confident will bring do much joy to us simmers.
Could i just ask a question regarding the posistion of the NG and ITT gsuges. I could be wrong but in Steveo's youtube videos it appeared thst his 2006 model had the NG gauge above the ITT gauge.
Is this aircraft modelled off a different year to his?

So I'm not sure about the 2006 and steveos, but the itt gauge is below the prop rpm with the ITT test knob to the left above the gas generator speed indicator. Now I can't say that's how every plane was delivered, but in the POH section 7, page 7.3.11 shows the standard layout and how the plane I fly is. I would assume it's something you don't just switch since the ITT test knob would be located way below the ITT gauge. Like I said I've only personally been in one TBM 850
@@hueginvieny7959 So as far as I can see then , the ITT gauge that is modelled is below the NG gauge and the NG gauge is below the prop rpm. Interestingly , the ITT test button is also in a different location as well from where you describe where it should be. I don't mean to nitpick, and it could be that the modelled layout is from a different year to that of Steveo's 2006 Model TBM850. I also understand that there are different models of the TBM 850 as well. Be good to hear from Just Flight on this.
does this beta range simulation will be added to the caravan?? or is it exclusive for the tbm? :(
Do you have a tutorial on how to download and install. All your tutorials assume we already have the aircraft or know how to get it?

A real world question to the TBM850 pilots: are the detents between idle - beta - revers tactile?
When you mean tactile, I'm not sure what you mean, but you can't just go into beta. On the power lever, there is a detent lock to go into beta. You have to use your fingers to pull the detent lock up to allow it to go into beta then reverse. . I've never been in anything, but the 850 and the power lever on the 930 is different than the 850, but I assume a beta lock is also equipped . On the 850 reverse is only used at high speeds and as soon the wheels touch the ground i go to beta then reverse and back into idle as soon as possible so you do not ingest any debris but you have to purposely want to go into beta you can't just go into beta

It's doing nicely but I can't give you a release date yet. There will be a new Dev Update going live later today or tomorrow though. Look out for some rather special cockpit visuals!

Sure you do, yes! Well parts of that will be delivered in the update this week. Look out for it. The tablet isn't part of that update though.

We'll publish the changelog today when the update comes out. It's a very very long list and will be supplied by my developer just prior to the release of the update. Hope that helps.

Just wonderin what the "Soft Ride" button in the Auto Pilot options does? I see it mentioned in the manual but no description as to what it is.
It’s not simulated due to MSFS limitations.

We'd love to release it and it will be released as soon as it's ready, hopefully tomorrow. Releasing it too early will have you RWP's telling us that we've not done the best job, so please bear with us and we'll release as soon as it's ready.
@justflight I completely understand, but even though I have the email alert set up, I account for most of your website hits every day. I was very lucky to find myself in the position to be able to fly the 850 without meeting the right person at the right time. I would have never found myself the ability to fly this aircraft. About the time it was announced was when I was getting to know the 850, and I have been waiting, and now, with the videos, i can't wait to see how well Black Square did. So far I have been very impressed I got my twinn rating in a baron so I was impressed with what they did to the default aircraft. Just wish there was a option to add a g5 hsi and pfd and it would have felt like home
You guys know why this was added to Xbox marketplace tonight and quickly removed?
The TBM 850 wasn't added to the marketplace last night, it's not been submitted to MS yet.

We dearly hope so. With the developer to decide. Plan is to update the product with a fairly chunky update quite soon. That could be the point we can wrestle it from his hands to do the marketplace submission for PC and Xbox. Fingers crossed.
