I wish we could have had another ten years of Alan Shore and Denny Crane.
Agree. BL was the best show on TV until Breaking Bad came along.
SAME! IT ENDED FAR TOO SOON❤
ME TOO!
Don't we all
@@williammoseley17 No. It would've killed or at least absolutely disrupted the TV world for over popularity.
Denny saying “feel free to disagree with me the woman was batty” is such a subtle line that’s so perfect. Idk why but him offering that gave him such an out if she did disagree
"I have urges......I'm Hungry.....I NEED FOOD"..... Brilliant writing
The writing makes it good...but....the delivery of the lines makes it better!
Alan and Denny need a reunion . A boston legal special! Please!
YES!! They Really Do!!!
The trouble with that is, Alan looks too much like Raymond Reddington now.
The befuddled look on Alan Shore’s face at the end is quite the contrast to his absolute look of confidence when he addresses a jury or in deposition. Great Actor that James Spader. He plays the emotional bandwidth with great ease.
your context of 'emotional bandwidth' is the way it should be used ... a creator has spoken
"I have... urges.
...I'm hungry. I need food."

The Genius behind this entire show, as well as Boston Legal, is the legend, David E Kelley.
David Kelley is a brilliant writer - and knows how to hire brilliant writers as well.
Notwithstanding the opening bit, this was an extremely powerful scene.
He said no to Rhona Mitra..I'm impressed lol

Shatner deserved the Emmy's he got for playing Denny Crane.

I would say, you just played with your food....
So many fabulous characters even for the smaller parts. Fifth element is one of my favorite movies for this same reason.
the master of the court room . . .Denny Crane !!!
Cloud Strife Denny Crane !!!!!!!
I really, really miss this show!
thank you so much for the season 8 practices. I am loving the, having never seen alot of them. Keep them coming,.
Happy birthday Captain Kirk/Denny Crane/ William Shatner 91 good on you
Love Alan and Denny!!!
It's like if Bugs Bunny became a high powered lawyer. Over the Top shenanigans by someone who is 2 steps ahead of everyone else in the room.
DC is very close to a meme or trope; see Bunny Ears in tv tropes/
David E Kelly needs to make another series of Boston Legal.
A lesson in how make an impact , offend and right away apologize . Then, to own the room with a compelling argument like only Denny Crane can pull off in a feminist / politically correct mainstream . "Everybody wants to be desired" . Just plain perfect . A similar analogy could be said about life in some way , sometime's better to make a negative impact , be true to who you are, than to go through it inadvertedly or faking for others to like you . This is just stuff of the genious Crane - Shore - Kelley . The holy trinity of TV series .
I mean you do realise that if what Crane says is true, then that isnt in any way an indictment of feminism or a justification for sexual assault. I dont see what feminism has to do with it.
Best to keep heady ideologies like feminism out. Here, the idea is misapplied.
@@angusmarch1066 Think that is a misthink about feminism that it is anti sex when it is actually very pro sex( reason why the Middle Easters don't like it one bit with their controlling of women attitudes) with their being equal partners in the encounters.
@@angusmarch1066I just saw your comment. I said in a feminist / politically correct mainstream , meaning the context didn't favor, that no one would even dare to try pull off what Crane is doing here and come out in good , non bigoted standing for him and his client. That takes skills in originality, writing and delivery as was my point . Denny put women and men , wheelchair or not , on the same level , both want to be desirable , shifting all bias we can have towads a group of people and turn focus to we are all victims of vanity , implying his defendant is also collateral damage of this "sickness" (Don't forget that dude had a fetish of women in wheelchairs !!) But a jury very well could have overlooked that, if not appropriately defended by rationalizing the situation first with the assaulted victim.
@@angusmarch1066 yeah it is, but you do realise how the pc people and feminist react everytime a man has any opinion on a woman? I can guarantee you I'd be shouted down at if i ever suggested that women like to be sexually objectified too in a normal degree
if you're a client I will get you off, if not the offer still stands - Denny Crane
I miss this show
Ally McBeal had a similar episode. Another fabulous David E. Kelly show.
LAdies and gentleman I give you Denny Crane>
This is probably the role that got her breaking bad 😈😇
I like in this season and early 'Boston Legal' it showed Denny still had the goods.
Oh my god best tease of all time
@joeblon I think Kelsey Grammar won Emmys all for playing Dr. Frasier Crane (more Cranes) in Cheers/Wings/Frasier.
Season 1 through 7 were quite serious, season 8 was in between which is no surprise since part of the Boston Legal cast was introduced (Shore, Tara, Crane)
.................... This isn't Boston Legal. It's 'The Practice', and it has 8 seasons.
@Westmoreland Automobile This clip is from "The Practice" - Season 8.
You're thinking about Boston Legal.
no matter what the shatman is in, he's a such a t alented actor..
Rhona Mitra.. dear sweet baby jesus in the manger... a finer, more seductive, attractive, mind clouding woman has never existed.
Denny Crane!!! 🎈🎊🎉
The Lady's a GORGEOUS woman.
Now I know why Alan turned in the Boston Legal Alan. It's all because of Tara
@joeblon I would go so far to say that you should watch the entire season 8 as you will understand Alan shore much better :)
DENNY CRANE
How could you say no to dinner with her!?
Tight, tight, tight...... dinner breakfast lunch.... whatever, just keep bringing me that.
Never. Ever. Ever. In a lifetime of millennia. Never.
You can say no, if you're Alan Shore.
Ikr
You say no at the beginning so they say yes later. It's a power dynamic; the male version of "hard to get". Women that attractive are so used to men falling all over themselves for a chance with them, that one saying no makes him stand out.
@JGARCIA415
She is THE most beautiful woman ever to grace the television.
Alan and Tara were a great couple.
Denny Crane.
This is the greatest scene in the entire show
Is it? Believing this is the zenith of all B.L. is an interesting choice...
“ I need food too.”
I can't believe he was in a wheelchair
took a minute and a half on cross to even get to a question.
so much better in the practice
Tara was one of THE most
beautiful and sexiest women
that's ever graced a TV screen.

Where can I get the full episodes?
Hulu
ah rhona mitra...goddess
@77magenta
At least as a regular member.
Otherwise.... watch "the cloud minders" episode of the original Star Treks.
I enjoyed the various episodes, the ones that I managed to view, as I was working nights. I was often impressed with the amazing monetary settlements that the various lawyers managed to get for their clients. And I had also wondered just where was that funding coming from, as the various law firms within the City of Boston too had to be doing well? As it turns out, right across the Charles River, lies Cambridge and the University of MIT, read that somewhere. Also heard that there were more lawyers working at MIT than engineers. Sort of tongue in check, I suppose, but even in marginally true, what might all those lawyers be doing at MIT? Perhaps protecting the Intellectual Property rights of the engineers and others there? If a picture doesn't make any sense (or perhaps just a little sense) what is it you have to assume that makes the picture work? A restatement of the Scientific Method, maybe/
Denny Crane!
Im still a victim! Even if I wasn't there!
♥️😍😉♥️

@joeblon soooooooo is this funny like boston legal or is it a serious law series?
@CrimsongloryXV
For the first seven seasons "The Practice" was one of the most gritty, dark, intensely serious law series ever made. And as is most of David E Kelley's work, it is brilliant!
But for all practical purposes, Season 8 (the final season) was a prequel, or pilot, preparing us for Boston Legal.
Wasn't Marie in Boston Legal too? She flipped testimony on something i think
Rhona Mitra is extremely sultry with that sexy English accent and exotic looks. BTW, half Indian, half Irish I believe. Talk about lovely hybrid vigour.
India or First Nations Indian?
Is this from the Practice or Boston Legal? Feels like it was Boston Legal..
“Courts” and “integrity” don’t go together.
purple is the cure for legs that don't work. Hank would agree.
What she said: I have urges.... I'm hungry, I need food.
What I heard: I have urges.... I'm h0rny, I need wood.
I thought there are only 5 seasons in Boston Legal. Where did that come from?
I think this is from "The Practice". Boston Legal was the spin-off, with Alan Shore which lead to Denny Crane.
"Hands" and the cross-dressing large and kind black man ruined the show and shut it down. Apparently, the writers dried up.Thanks for sharing. SUBSCRIBED, DING!!!
@JGARCIA415 one of the sexiest women alive!!! omg... haha
She is in...........breaking bad?
Ah, old people sass in the denouement.
If that wasn't a [total?] "mind fook" then I don't know what is.
(The end with Tara)
The Practice?
hahhahahahahhahhahhhhhahahahahahaha
Is she the actress that played the sister in law on breaking bad?
Lol 😂
Isn't this Boston Legal?
At 2:00- 2:20, why doesn't the other side object to his line of questioning??
My guess is that, because it is civil court rather than criminal court, there is much more latitude in questioning about motives and such.
Because he's Denny Crane!
@@Myrdden71 OK.
@@jamesanthony5681 And of course, he's Denny Crane! :)
@@Myrdden71 That's it!

Integrity and decorum of this room? Wtf? They are all criminals either side of the gavel although the one behind it does it for a living.

"Perhaps a little"??? Have the writers ever even spoken to a woman before?
So the somewhat victim is suing her former boss because she wasn't sexually harassed? Huh? Does she win the case?
Can't quite figure if Tara was inviting or kissing off Alan.
Alright now I am both angry and thrilled. I never watched the practice and loved boston legal. How many seasons were denny and alan on the practice and were they main char's? I will have to watch this entire show!!!!
They only appeared in the 8th and final season. Alan Shore was a regular in the 8th Season and Denny Crane was in a few episodes as a guest star
lordtalon69 watch the last season of the practice.
The Practice was excellent! Watch the whole thing if you can!!
A girl's gotta eat, ya know?
Oh Tara... Sigh... lol..
The Practice? Isn't this Boston Legal?
No, this is the last season of "the practice". It introduced Alan Shore, then Denny Crane. They became the stars of the spin-off, "Boston Legal".
Tara got away with sexually harassing Alan Shore.
Clever...
jokes aside, the point he put across is something that has to be pondered upon. truthfully, if you look at social media today, there is a blatant call out for validation and attention seeking behaviour that is being portrayed by women today. what better a way to get that validation and have your share of attention that say being scantily dressed, doing idiotic things while showing ample skin and downright 18+ behaviour on these apps. how would society respond if suddenly men stopped feeling attracted to women altogether or stopped showing their attraction towards women altogether. that would change society massively.
i can't rewatch the practice part with Alan because of Tara. ffs. that story line was such a bust.
Huh??
What happened?
Tara and Alan may not make a "couple" but could surely be able to have some, er, fun just being , umm, friends with bnefits.
OK, Shirley, you too.
But aren't you already kinda with Carl Sack?
Kurt Snyder 1:13 ua-cam.com/video/YLjST5Zs5FA/v-deo.html appears Denny's in for some Shirley action too!

"The practice"? isn't the shows name Boston Legal?
crimsongloryXV The Practice was the first show then Boston Legal was the spin off.
It is why some of the cast of BL are some of the few who have Emmy's on multiple shows. Shatner has them for both.
