This has to be the single most underrated song from the entire 90's. Should have been an Anthem-level smash-hit. Dishwalla got overlooked amidst the sea of amazing talent that we had. They were (and still are) an amazing, talented bunch. If you're here listening to this song, you're among the lucky ones.
Absolutely agree. JR is one of if not the most incredible singers I've ever heard. I highly recommend his more recent stuff. He has done remakes of Until I Wake Up and this song, as well as many others that are all fantastic, and his original stuff is just as amazing.
I must agree there's two things he talked about Jesus which a lot of songs never got paid for that unless it was demeaning towards Jesus which is sad glorifying God 2 but yes we had a ton of great talent rock rap folk everything was great even the mainstream garbage was ok it's like we robbed the next generations talent by how much good music we actually had I'm very blessed ,my son's actually listen to alot we grew up listening to and he feels the same way with they got robbed lol
That dude has a solid voice. There are other vocalists that are great but are with the wrong band. I always felt like this guy had the right band for his voice. Although he could probably fit into several genres.
@@JRRichardsOfficial one of the most versatile voices ever recorded literally, he's up there with Chris Cornell, Robert Plant and James Maynard Keenen for me so much memories as a 5 year old in 1995
You have no idea how many incredible nights you spent with me and my beautiful wife, of 27 years, back in 1996. Every time we hear something from "Pet Your Friends " we just look at each other and smile.
I listened to this album on repeat in high school when it came out. Can't believe I'm 35 now listening to it. Can still remember what it was like listening to it when I was 16. So nostalgic! Loved it. Also had a huge crush on J.R . Such a beautiful voice💖

Timeless classic for those in the know. I won the Pet Your Friends cd by being the ninth caller and drove about an hour out of the way to go pick it up. Glad I did for sure
The entire "Pet Your Friends" Album which is Dishwalla's first one has some amazing thoughts, music, and of course the amazing vocals and talent of J.R. Richards. Beautiful Man!! Beautiful Music!!!
From then til now (2022), I still say it's the best song on the album and didn't receive the respect nor radio airplay it deserved. I hope all from the band are still well 👍
This song always brings me right back to my hometown, to a video rental place in a strip mall that no longer exists. Such a carefree time. Damn, I miss it.
Dishwalla back on the road this Dec in California with more dates to be added in other states soon. If you are in the San Fran Area, San Diego area, LA area, Santa Barbara or SLO area check them out. Its great to see them back out and about. GO to Dishwalla website for dates and times
Definitely one of my favorite songs from the 90's. Underrated song, band, and vocalist. I wish the whole song was included in the video, but still a kick ass song.
Reed Diamond and Virginia Madsen are just deliciously distant in this! But it was a different time. Still a very satisfying performance. And JR as the id in the campaign room is just that much better.

Kkkkkkkk... Passei a mesma situação dos comentários... Enfim achei a música
"Pet your friends" no spotify😊☺🙏
In a just world, this song would have been at least as big of a smash as Counting Blue Cars. What an underrated gem of a song.
Essa música é excepcional. A ouvi quando foi lançada e até hoje sempre ouço
então vc é tão velho quanto eu... rsrsrs
So amazing song...so catchy and so lovely composed
Thank you Brother!
@@JRRichardsOfficialThanks to you and the guys for all this incredible album.... aged so well better than Pearl Jam stuff if you ask me 🙂
swietny videoclip oraz super piosenka oraz wspanialy zespol dishwalla
Timeless classic for those in the know. I won the Pet Your Friends cd by being the ninth caller and drove about an hour out of the way to go pick it up. Glad I did for sure
I'm glad you did as well!
2019 always love this song
Awesome! Thank You!
Really love this band and their music!
Happy 53rd Birthday John Robert "J. R." Richards 4/30/1967.. Many more too..
Thank you David 👍🤘🙏🎵
I bought Pet Your Friends back in the day and this was absolutely my favorite song on the disc, a definite all time great 90s song
Thank you for the kind message!!
I don't know how you only got 1.1 million views. Great song man! Probably have a couple hundred million views Love this song! Thanks.
Thank you for the kind words! 👍🤘🙏🎵
Legit forgot how badass this band is! Props to anyone else rediscovering Dishwalla in 2022. 😁👍
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏🎵
Nice song but why did they cut the opening it was really short
I love that this song was included on The Real World Miami vacation episode. I used to jam out to this song all the time @ 12 years old.
Those were great times!
wow! How I miss the 90's, all the great music we had, I don't even listen to the current radio stations, classic radio is what I want
The song and singing stands on its own... but the blonde in the pink dress bro...dammit man... tell me you hit that.
So many memories come rushing back every time I hear this one.
I hope all from the band are still well 👍
Thanks for the kind words Mikey!🙏🎵
I am so happy cause i found this sound . Reminds me such good memories
Thanks Daniel :)
Fucking great, underrated band/song. Love it!!
Thank you!
Most underrated band of all time! ❤
Thanks for saying Angela! :)
This song always brings me right back to my hometown, to a video rental place in a strip mall that no longer exists. Such a carefree time. Damn, I miss it.
Those were great times :)
Owww My God... march 2022 I am in Brasil listening to this Song. favorite Song!!!
Awesome to hear Amanda! thank you for still listening 👍🤘🙏🎵
Great song boring video.
Why is this song not available on Spotify, Google Music, Deezer and Apple Music?
Should be now :)

Dishwalla back on the road this Dec in California with more dates to be added in other states soon. If you are in the San Fran Area, San Diego area, LA area, Santa Barbara or SLO area check them out. Its great to see them back out and about. GO to Dishwalla website for dates and times
Best video ever! Best song ever! Best band ever! Luv so much! Kick asses! YEAH!!
Awesome! Thank you 👍🤘🙏🎵
Love love Dishwalla so much!!! I was singing this song before my board exam..Passed it and was on 6th place..:)
alguien más vino por que salió en daría? jajajja
I wished dishwalla had the same level of success that Pearl Jam had
I remember that this was the first song heard in Daria after the theme music.
Definitely one of my favorite songs from the 90's. Underrated song, band, and vocalist. I wish the whole song was included in the video, but still a kick ass song.
Thanks for the kind words Ronnie! 👍🤘🙏🎵
It was a HUGE hit on Brazil rock stations. Still plays on a daily basis actually
Reed Diamond and Virginia Madsen are just deliciously distant in this! But it was a different time. Still a very satisfying performance. And JR as the id in the campaign room is just that much better.
Thanks Andrew :)
@@JRRichardsOfficial What are you doing now?
@@andrewdouglass1427 I am working on my 10th album :)
I don't want to talk about Jesus, either.
Ever.
Love the sound of the grunge 90s. miss the type of this music.
Take 1/4 of INXS, 1/20 of Jim Morrison, and 1/2 of Gavin Rossdale, mix them all together and you get this dude
