even flow is in part about a experience that eddie lived, he write this song inspired by a war veteran that lives near a place were the band used to play.
Eddie wrote this song about a homeless man he met while they were making the album. Even flow is short for evening flow- detailing how the man’s night progressed.
You know what I love most about these kind of bands is they were definitely the ones that started off in a garage with just a vision, absolutely phenomenal, drummer and guitarist, and of course, Chris Cornell and his joker looking facial expressions with this amazing vocal that just draws you in.
I am a hip-hop, R&B head but Pearl Jam's Ten album is one of my most prized possessions. Pearl Jam is amazing. Much love to them and all the grunge heads out there.
Everyone who was a teenager/ young adult in the 90s- I really hope you know how lucky you were. All the amazing music, the style, the general attitude. Just enough technology. Fuck being sad about getting old. Y'all got the best of everything.

I became a teenager as the 90's started..... Truly a dynamic time in human history, on every front. I'm the human I am today because of the beauty and tragedy of that golden decade.
90s grunge was characterized by its raw, distorted sound created by heavy guitars and drums. The vocals, often delivered with a raw, shouted intensity, provided catharsis and inspiration for listeners. It was a time when music truly mattered, and it still sounds fresh today.
he is amazing!! I've known about Pearl Jam for years since I've loved alternative rock for years but I just happened to see this video recently. It's amazing to me that he wears nothing more than an old plaid shirt & shorts & performs at such an amazing level! Eddie wrote this song about a homeless man he met while they were making the album. Even flow is short for evening flow- detailing how the man’s night progressed.
de verdaaaaaaad? siempre había pensado que era como "corriente continua" like a river flow.
Pero lo que mencionas tiene muchísimo sentido! Gracias!
Hello, how are you doing, it’s nice meeting you here
I’m sure you must be surprised to receive a message from me.
@@jeffreyament4963 lmao on a brand new profile huh?
Great observation!
Thank you for this ; love the song and the sound never knew what it was all about
*This is not a TV studio, Josh. Turn those lights out, it's a fucking rock concert!* ❤
Josh: “and I took that personally” 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Josh didn't turn off the lights in the end lkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Josh was playing along with the pre- rehearsed skit ! As you can see in the vid no lights got shut off cuz then it would be less dangerous !!!!❤
id like to know how josh is doing these days, we need to hear from josh
I've been blessed to see pearl jam live many times. I have never been disappointed ,but still feel I have missed out.
Anyone else feel the same?
I am lucky, honored, privileged to have lived during the same time as Pearl Jam and the rest of the Grunge Genre.
Congrats on your parent banging 💁🏻♀️
The energy this track radiates is insane..."Rock on"
Right!!!!
The energy comes from the light that josh left on
💡⚡️⚡️💡💫⚡️💡💫💫
Music is the single most important thing on Earth.
Hell ya man
Your mom....what?
No Music No Life Stephen
It's not really though is it....
Rojo Wilson yeah I guess it depends on who you are talking with....
You know what I love most about these kind of bands is they were definitely the ones that started off in a garage with just a vision, absolutely phenomenal, drummer and guitarist, and of course, Chris Cornell and his joker looking facial expressions with this amazing vocal that just draws you in.
Josh: Forever known as the hated light guy.
He never turned them off !!!
Josh Taft directed and shot this video ;-)
Lol
They thanked him in their acceptance speech into the Hall of Fame and people in the audience snickered the second they said his name. xD
I am a hip-hop, R&B head but Pearl Jam's Ten album is one of my most prized possessions. Pearl Jam is amazing. Much love to them and all the grunge heads out there.
🤘
I'm a metalhead, but Pearl Jam is fucking awsome
George D. Metellus weird, I was scrolling down thinkin shall I add comment...,but your comment pretty much sums up my thoughts...
Me too bro
George D. Metellus ❤️ grunge gone way too soon
Everyone who was a teenager/ young adult in the 90s- I really hope you know how lucky you were. All the amazing music, the style, the general attitude. Just enough technology. Fuck being sad about getting old. Y'all got the best of everything.
Yeh hun i was in my early 20's in the 90's and loved the hard rock n roll but when this came out i simply loved it ... Went out an bought the cassette... love S.T.P..also...
Hell dude i was in my mid 30's and still lovin that stuff
I was 12 in 1991. Best decade ever.
I will be 40 in a few weeks and I still love Eddie to this day❤️
I became a teenager as the 90's started..... Truly a dynamic time in human history, on every front. I'm the human I am today because of the beauty and tragedy of that golden decade.
90s grunge was characterized by its raw, distorted sound created by heavy
guitars and drums. The vocals, often delivered with a raw, shouted intensity,
provided catharsis and inspiration for listeners. It was a time when music truly mattered, and it still sounds fresh today.
WE RESSURECTING FROM THE GRAVE ON THE THIRD DAY WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
HEAVEN YEAHH!!!!🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️‼️‼️
U DIDNT DO SHIT
Always the good songs getting ruined
PORQUE JOGAM TERRA NO VENTILADOR.
My brain has never left 90's dimension, every time I hear timeless classics from the 90's I am transported back in time/home. 💞👌😊👍
That is a great summary. Same situation for me. Best decade of me life!

One of the most unique vocals. Eddie should be way up in the top 5 rock voices. I'll nominate him for sure, incredibly talented.
Agreed
Top 5? Nah..
Hello beautiful,my heart ❤️ tells me you’re so beautiful more than the morning sunshines
I’ve just wrote something similar but without seeing what you said mate! Must be thinking the same.
This song is actually that good as compared to nirvana. Bad tune forgetable song
The early 90’s….. and what we needed!
Just love his voice, his lyrics and his look! He’s got it all!🎉
He sort reminds me of Jim Morrison, grungy, raspy!
No autotune, no attitude. Just a flannel, t-shirt w/jeans. Eddie could be any random guy off the street. One who happens to have an amazing voice.
cant play guitar i just build em and i wear da flanals
he is amazing!! I've known about Pearl Jam for years since I've loved alternative rock for years but I just happened to see this video recently. It's amazing to me that he wears nothing more than an old plaid shirt & shorts & performs at such an amazing level! He looks like some guy who could be hanging out with his friends getting high or doing any number of things!
Might be a drop or two of attitude...
No attitude?😦
he looks like jay from jay and silent bob. i was not expecting him to look like a random 90s adolescent
I can honestly say guys, I didn't look at the bill and didn't know there was a rock concert tonight. My apologies for the lights.
Goddammit Josh
was it really you?
[A few minutes later:] No Josh, not that light. Leave that light on!

I was 11 back in 2013 and i found pearl jam accidentally on UA-cam. Due to influence of Pearl jam i am glad i discovered more grunge/rock/metal/punk bands. Thank-you pearl jam you guys are always special.
Grunge is how I got into punk. Way back in 94. Like you 11 at the time.
“Back in 2013” lol y’all are in such a rush to be grown and it’s sad. Why can’t y’all just be happy to not have responsibilities? It’s so cringey to see children trying to act tougher than they are.
Great musictaste son!
Do yourself a favor and discover Primus and The Presidents of the United States of America. Great and underrated bands.
@@theforeverfalling 2013 was 9 years ago, the dude is 19 or 20 now, plus can’t people enjoy music?
Even Flow, Jeremy and Black will forever be my favorite Pearl Jam songs
How about oceans? Sometimes people forget about that beauty of a song
Once, Even Flow, Garden and Deep are the best for me.
Jeremy kept me from doing what the kid did. When nothing- and no one else- could get through, the music spoke again: like, Hey man, it's cool to live, even if life's kinda fkd up right now.

Even Flow
Freezin'
Rests his head on a pillow made of concrete again
Oh, feelin'
Maybe he'll see a little betters, any days
Oh, hand out
Faces that he sees time again ain't that familiar
Oh, dark grin
He can't help, when he's happy, he looks insane
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Oh, someday yet he'll begin his life again
Life again, life again
Kneelin'
Lookin' through the paper though he doesn't know to read
Oh, prayin'
Now to something that has never showed him anything
Oh, feelin'
Understands the weather of the winter's on its way
Oh, ceilings
Few and far between all the legal halls of shame
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Oh, someday yet he'll begin his life again
Whispering hands gently lead him away
Him away, him away
Yeah, ooh, ah yeah, fuck it up
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Ah, someday yet he'll begin his life again
Whispering hands gently lead him away
Him away, him away
Yeah, ooh

Eu já fiz 60. Acordei agora 3pm.
Very True , I wore a ring in the CD from continuously playing Pearl Jam VS.1994 . Wow what a time.
So very true, soon to be 58 laying here with a broken ankle and fibular in a rehab for 3 weeks now giving myself a Pearl Jam concert each night. Not sure if todays popular artists and music will be around in 30-40 years but I sure am glad to have these amazing music videos at my fingertips.

Why would they be smoking a joint? Can they not just enjoy the music for what it is? Damn if you have to smoke pot to enjoy music I feel sorry for you!

STEVEN FLOWE!!!
Crazy thing is this is exactly how their concerts were at that point. This was a moment in time when you could dive into a crowd and people would catch you.
Exactly! Now they just let your ass go because they're too busy on their phones.
They would collectively step back in some kind of freakish hive mind synchronicity, never once looking up from their phones.
And now not even concerts are around there lol.
That's the moment when music still amazing
Man, you could get stabbed or any sort of shit if you jump into a crowd nowadays
