    Hornenso no gomaae literally translates to spinach with sesame. This spinach salad has become so popular that at many restaurants it is known simply as gomaae… pronounced goma-ae.

      Is mirin used low in alcohol since the recipe doesn’t require cooking the sesame paste?

    500 g raw spinach
    4 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
    2 Tbsp soy sauce
    2 Tbsp mirin
    grind seeds, add soy & mirin
    prepare spinach
    mix with prepared spinach
