Oh and I never had good out come with those spring clamps attachments, as soon as I put the brake on the towed vehicle slipped forward all the way to the axle, no way to keep the vehicle from sliding forward in an emergency, I use forks , nice thanks BigAl California.
hi my self & my mate run a srcap yard in the u k we have been running it about 6 or 7 months now so we know how it is to hook up to a car or any thing in a live lane take care & stay safe
Holy cripes,Your a big boy. Just pick the damn thing up put it in your pocket and your good.lol,….I’m retired now and miss it about everyday. This part not a bit. Grease stinks gets on everything.Strap down everything still stuff flies.
Why are they scraping parts trucks , what do the junk yards do with them , I’m looking for a good fixable to or three axle truck, so hook two or three trucks together, loll, nice job thanks BigAl California. 45 years of towing and recovery specialist I would of snatch blocked from the disabled unit setting next to your truck, nice thanks BigAl California.
Price of metal is through the roof right now which is driving scrap prices up. These units were sold to someone who simply bought them to scrap them lol Thanks for watching Big Al👍
Not too bad. Freeways are worse. When cars/trucks are flying by at 65mph++ then it gets sketchy. My next video has all of that kind of stuff. Stay tuned
Thanks👍. Wouldn’t make sense to cause more work for myself and for the driver of the rescue tractor to tow combination. The rescue tractor was there by the time I cleared out. I had the driver of the broken unit call their dispatch and he told me that his driver was sitting on the off ramp so I timed it accordingly. Trailer was empty, had it been loaded I wouldn’t have allowed it to be dropped on the road. Also, In the area that I was in, it would have been more work for me to tow the combination, find a big enough spot for my truck plus tractor and trailer, disconnect from trailer and then turn back around to get back on the freeway.
@@HighwayHeavyHooker Lol, I watch this " Large Tow Trucks | How it's Made". I think it's super costly to own 1!? Technology is getting even more better....
Honestly man, I love your videos. But, with my line of work. I see accident victims come into the er all the time. And, some of them don't even make it through the night. So, with that said. If hes not helping you. Then, he should've stayed in his truck. And, not put himself in danger.
I'm at that intersection on my bicycle all the time, it's a MAD house, I'm surprised that driver was that casual, Oshawa local drivers will just run you over and keep driving.

Was going to mention remote but already discussed try and get one sorted easier for yourself 👍.
Thanks.
Great video brother!! Watch your back, drivers just assume to run you over than to move over. You need a remote!!
Thank you! And yes, this truck has a remote but someone broke it lol makes the job much easier with one!!
Ordr up a new one--make ur life safer/easier.@@HighwayHeavyHooker
Yoyo from Toronto! That heat is killer eh! We'll miss it soon enough and be back to freezing our asses off!

That Freightliner Looks great keep it good project truck. Give it some TLC.
I've seen that Freightliner Columbia truck in MTL long time no see..wonder if it's the same
That used to be a Highland Transport truck back in the early 2000s.
That was a heck of a place to be broke down! Kind of close working conditions on the road and in the tard moving wrecks!

Greatly appreciate it, cheers👍
Check engine light was on when lindon had the truck and it's still on lol 😆
Lmao that’s how it goes with this company we work for🤷🏽♂️
Great job brother, but why didn’t ya pull the whole unit off to a safe spot? Especially with it sittin at an off ramp corner… Just wonderin

@@HighwayHeavyHooker Roger That 🤠🤘🏼
H.H. Way to keep your cool in a very confined space. The other truck driver was a walking liability. I hope he thanked you for your service.
Thanks brother, and yes you get used to working in these situations. You just gotta keep your head on a swivel and hope for the best!
How do you set up a logbook. Is it all digital now or do you do both.
In Ontario, tow trucks are log exempt. If we go out of Provence, we use paper logs
@@HighwayHeavyHooker You aren’t hauling logs anyway right.lol.
Haha that’s a good one👍
The light comes on forlots reasons. Aslong as it runs not to worry about.
Lol yup
Well the whole lack of oil and overheating does count unless you have another wrecker or lowboy.lol.
Were si this place located
Which place?

What's up
Chilling, what’s up? Haha
Ur tow truck ain't equipped enough. Ur truck should come with a lifting crane like those recovery trucks.
Lol it is a recovery truck and it’s equipped just fine. It’s just not a rotator

Seems like the driver could have helped with the traffic instead of being on his phone.
Or, he could've called the cops to come out and help with traffic control.
No need lol, we were in and out in no time. Cops just add stress and ask you “how much longer” every 2 minutes lol
Your channel name is messing with my head! It should be “heavy Highway hooker” hahah idk why my brain turns it around.

100% totally agree with you. I should have asked him to stay in the truck. Live and you learn
