    Oh and I never had good out come with those spring clamps attachments, as soon as I put the brake on the towed vehicle slipped forward all the way to the axle, no way to keep the vehicle from sliding forward in an emergency, I use forks , nice thanks BigAl California.

    Why are they scraping parts trucks , what do the junk yards do with them , I’m looking for a good fixable to or three axle truck, so hook two or three trucks together, loll, nice job thanks BigAl California. 45 years of towing and recovery specialist I would of snatch blocked from the disabled unit setting next to your truck, nice thanks BigAl California.

    • @HighwayHeavyHooker
      @HighwayHeavyHooker  3 роки тому

      Price of metal is through the roof right now which is driving scrap prices up. These units were sold to someone who simply bought them to scrap them lol Thanks for watching Big Al👍

      Not too bad. Freeways are worse. When cars/trucks are flying by at 65mph++ then it gets sketchy. My next video has all of that kind of stuff. Stay tuned

    Great job brother, but why didn’t ya pull the whole unit off to a safe spot? Especially with it sittin at an off ramp corner… Just wonderin

    • @HighwayHeavyHooker
      @HighwayHeavyHooker  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks👍. Wouldn’t make sense to cause more work for myself and for the driver of the rescue tractor to tow combination. The rescue tractor was there by the time I cleared out. I had the driver of the broken unit call their dispatch and he told me that his driver was sitting on the off ramp so I timed it accordingly.
      Trailer was empty, had it been loaded I wouldn’t have allowed it to be dropped on the road.
      Also, In the area that I was in, it would have been more work for me to tow the combination, find a big enough spot for my truck plus tractor and trailer, disconnect from trailer and then turn back around to get back on the freeway.

    How do you set up a logbook. Is it all digital now or do you do both.

    • @HighwayHeavyHooker
      @HighwayHeavyHooker  3 роки тому

      In Ontario, tow trucks are log exempt. If we go out of Provence, we use paper logs

    Honestly man, I love your videos. But, with my line of work. I see accident victims come into the er all the time. And, some of them don't even make it through the night. So, with that said. If hes not helping you. Then, he should've stayed in his truck. And, not put himself in danger.
